Restoring Marital Affection

1/4/2026

Rona Muir couldn't help but laugh when she heard those long-lost words.

Jiro Hirayama shot a wary look at Sean Kerr. "Go find someone to date, and stop coveting my wife. This lifetime, next lifetime, and the one after that—you stand no chance."

Sean Kerr chuckled softly. "We'll see about that."

Sparks flew in the eyes of both men.

Not far away, Molly Yun leaned against Eric Jiang, who gently wrapped his arm around her and stroked her obviously pregnant belly. He spoke tenderly, "My little babies, you need to behave. Don't make Mommy work too hard. Otherwise, when you come out, I'll have to teach you a lesson."

As if they heard his warning, the two little ones in her belly turned over, ignoring their sentimental dad.

Molly Yun shot him a coy look and said, "My babies are always well-behaved. You're the one bullying them."

Eric Jiang laughed cheerfully, "Yes, yes, you're right, dear. Whatever you say is right."

In another corner, Cecilia Gu couldn't help gossiping with Charles Yin: "Tell me, if ten years ago Sean Kerr had seen through Ran Xiwei's true colors, stood up to his family, and chosen to be with Rona Muir, how do you think things would have turned out?"

Charles Yin pulled Cecilia Gu into his arms, happily feeding her snacks. Seeing her eat made him smile. "There's no such thing as 'what if' in this world. If you insist on imagining it, then those people wouldn't be Sean Kerr and Rona Muir anymore."

Cecilia Gu took another bite and asked, "If parallel worlds really exist, do you think there's another Sean Kerr and Rona Muir out there somewhere?"

"Maybe," Charles Yin smiled. "But no matter what world it is, we'll always end up together."

Charles Yin—the overbearing, unreasonable type—wasn't accepting any arguments.

When the gathering ended, Sean Kerr didn't return to the Kerr Family estate.

He had just opened his hotel room door when he saw his mother standing there, eyes brimming with tears. "Son, do you really refuse to forgive me? I've apologized and admitted my mistakes. Will you come home?"

Sean Kerr froze for a moment, then gave a bitter smile.

Of course, no matter where he went or what he did, there was no way to hide from the family's watchful eyes.

"Haven't I made myself clear enough?" Sean Kerr said weakly. "I've already given up on inheriting the Kerr Family. Can't you just let me go?"

"I'm not trying to force you. Even if you give up everything from the Kerr Family, you're still my son, aren't you? Are you going to abandon me, too?" Mrs. Kerr truly understood her mistakes now. She set aside her pride and lowered her head, personally coming to seek her son's forgiveness. "I've already met with Miss Rona and sincerely apologized to her. She's forgiven me. Can't you forgive your mother, too? I'm getting old, and I don't have much time left in this world. Son, all I want is to see you a little more before I die. Is that too much?"

Sean Kerr's heart softened instantly.

Today's meeting helped him finally let go of some things.

Yes, it's all in the past now. It should be left behind.

Everyone has to look forward. You can't keep living in the past.

"Xiao Jin is your child, after all," Mrs. Kerr said quietly. "I know you don't want to see the child's mother. So she's gone far away and won't bother you anymore. Even if you're angry at me, the child is innocent."

Sean Kerr sighed softly. "I understand."

"Come home, okay?" Mrs. Kerr pleaded through her tears. "You've had enough time to clear your head. It's time to come home."

"I know." Sean Kerr lowered his head and nodded. "I'll think about it."

Mrs. Kerr finally heard the words she'd been waiting for. Satisfied, she wiped away her tears and said, "Alright, Mom will wait for you at home. I'll wait for you to come back."

With that, Mrs. Kerr put on her sunglasses and left the hotel room with her bodyguards.

Sean Kerr took a shower, then sprawled out on the big bed, turning over and over, replaying Rona Muir's words in his mind: "If ten years ago, you'd chosen me and never wavered."

How wonderful.

She really did love him once.

Unknowingly, Sean Kerr drifted off to sleep.

In his dreams, he returned to ten years ago, back to those youthful days.

He sat on the sofa at his teacher's house and heard a familiar yet distant voice: "Daddy, I'm home—who's that?"

Professor Mu's voice sounded as young as ever: "Come, let me introduce you. This is my student, Sean Kerr. And this is my daughter, Rona Muir."

Sean Kerr stood up and took the initiative to shake Rona Muir's hand. "Junior, let's take on the future together. This time, I won't let go!"

Rona, ten years ago, was so beautiful, so fresh, and so dazzling.

She reached out her hand to him. "Senior, let's do our best together."

Lin Feng's concert took place as scheduled in S City.

Rona Muir and Jiro Hirayama entered the venue under the escort of bodyguards, only to discover their seats were the best in the house.

All around them, fans waved support banners and chattered excitedly, waiting to get in.

It was Jiro Hirayama's first time at such a crowded concert, and the perpetual homebody felt a bit out of his element.

Rona Muir took Jiro Hirayama's hand, offering her support.

Jiro Hirayama's tough-guy heart melted instantly. He squeezed Rona's hand, led her to their seats, and whispered, "Nana, thank you for never giving up on me."

Rona Muir's eyes sparkled with joy. "Thank you for always accepting me, too."

The couple exchanged a loving smile.

The concert officially began.

The entire boy band took the stage, instantly setting the crowd on fire.

Their images appeared on the giant screen behind them, giving everyone a clear view.

Lin Feng wasn't the leader of the group, but his appearance was still the most eye-catching. About seventy percent of the fans in the audience were there for him.

The girl behind Rona Muir was a hardcore Lin Feng fan. When he appeared, she screamed wildly, "Hubby, hubby, I love you! Ahhh, hubby, you're so handsome! I'll love you forever!"

The opening dance began. Each of the boys danced energetically, and every member had their own fans. Whenever the camera landed on someone, their fans would erupt in screams.

At first, Rona Muir and Jiro Hirayama felt a bit out of place in this environment and atmosphere.

But after a few minutes, they started acting like young people too, cheering and screaming for Lin Feng.

After the opening dance, it was time for each boy band member's solo performance.

When it was Lin Feng's turn, the whole crowd went wild, screaming non-stop.

Rona Muir waved her glow stick along with the crowd.

Lin Feng looked over to where Rona Muir was sitting. The moment he spotted her, his face lit up with joy, not hiding his surprise at all.

The camera followed Lin Feng's gaze and landed on Rona Muir's face.

Rona Muir saw her own face on the big screen, was stunned for a moment, then smiled and waved.

Lin Feng was thrilled and waved back at Rona Muir.

The fans in that section screamed even louder with excitement.

"Thank you, everyone," Lin Feng said into the microphone. "I'm so happy that my very best confidant and friend could come to my concert. This next song is one I wrote and composed myself, called 'Redemption.' It's dedicated to the purest and most precious memories in my heart."

The crowd cheered, then quickly quieted down.

The band began to play, and Lin Feng, after composing himself, raised the microphone and sang softly: "Under the dark, heavy clouds comes the punishment of thunder and lightning. Everyone punished is battered and wounded, touching their own wounds, beyond help. It was you, you who tore your own flesh to cover my wounds, you told me you were my redemption. With your redemption, I was reborn. But when I turned around, I couldn't find you anymore. My redemption led to your disappearance, and that is my greatest punishment. Do you know? Do you know? If time could turn back, let me perish under punishment. You are my redemption, my faith. Do you know? Do you know? If possible, please remember that there was once someone who thought of you so humbly."

The song was so moving and winding that it brought many in the audience to tears.

By the end of the song, Lin Feng was sobbing uncontrollably, shouting through his tears, breaking everyone's heart.

Listening to the lyrics, Rona Muir was deeply moved. She waved at Lin Feng on stage and made a heart gesture to him.

When Lin Feng saw Rona Muir's gesture, he broke into a smile.

Lin Feng's tearful smile made the fans ache with sympathy.

When the song ended, Lin Feng bowed to the audience in thanks.

The fans screamed again, "Don't cry, hubby! I'll always love you!"

Lin Feng left the stage, and it was time for the other members' solo performances.

Rona Muir turned to Jiro Hirayama and said, "Let's go home."

"Hm?" Jiro Hirayama asked cautiously, "I'm fine, really."

He didn't want Rona Muir to feel upset, even if it meant coming to see a rival's concert.

"My wish has been fulfilled," Rona Muir said with a smile. "Let's go home."

Everything that needed to be said was already in that song.
