What It Means to Be a Couple

1/4/2026

Rona Muir locked herself at home for two whole days, thinking things through until she finally figured it all out.

That's right, she had been overthinking it.

No one is truly perfect.

Even Charles Yin, such a perfect man, had made mistakes before. Didn't he almost lose Cici because of Sylvia Ran?

So what about her, someone so ordinary in comparison?

Jiro Hirayama really wasn't the type to understand romance or be a charming heartthrob, and he was never going to become that kind of man.

But you can't just dismiss his good qualities because of his awkwardness.

He was born into the Hirayama Family, and honestly, he could've been a spoiled rich kid, just wasting his life away. With all the money his family gave him, he could spend for three lifetimes and never worry.

Money, status, resources—he could have anything he wanted.

But he never cared about any of that. Instead, he chose to pursue his passion for biochemical research.

Even though his research... emmm... is a bit hard to explain and kind of unconventional, you can't deny that his reports have been published in the world's top journals.

His way of doing things might be hard to describe, but nobody can deny his talent.

A man like him—if he were anyone else, he'd be arrogant by now, probably wouldn't even remember his own name.

But he’s always stayed true to himself. Besides his lifelong devotion to his experiments, the only other thing he’s truly loyal to is me.

No matter what happens, he’s never given up on his determination to grow old with me.

With all that, why should I insist on changing him?

Wasn’t it his focus and loyalty that made me fall for him in the first place?

People really do get greedy so easily.

When you first fall in love, all you want is a hug.

But after you get that hug, you start wanting to hold hands.
