The Forbidden Land of Medicine King Heaven

Following Evan Yang's instructions, Madam Serpent Dora took the pill, while Evan kept his attention on the ongoing battle. Gavin White and the Serpent Lord had been fighting fiercely for quite some time. In the end, Gavin withdrew and turned to Evan, saying, "I don’t know why, but I feel like I’m getting exhausted much faster than usual."

After hearing Gavin’s words, Evan checked her condition and said, “It’s probably because of the child. While you’re fighting, she’s absorbing your energy, which speeds up your fatigue.”

"What? Then what should I do now?" Gavin asked anxiously.

Evan told Gavin to rest for a bit, then turned to the Serpent Lord, who had already rested and was now flying over, staring at them. Evan snorted, “You lot—let’s see how I deal with you today.”

At that moment, Evan took out the bead he’d just obtained and smiled, “I wonder how powerful this thing really is.”

Seeing his own treasure, the Serpent Lord snorted, “That thing isn’t something you can handle. Give it back to me.”

“You say I should give it back, so I should? Then why did I bother taking it?” Evan laughed, then began channeling power into it. He found it was filled with wind attribute energy; to activate its power, he needed wind element. So Evan immediately infused wind element and started operating the treasure.

The Serpent Lord, unaware that Evan could use wind element, said, “This treasure isn’t something just anyone can use. Be careful—it might backfire on you.”

“Is that so? Well, I’d like to see what backfire looks like.” Evan laughed.

“Annoying. So stubborn.” The Serpent Lord snorted. Just then, a strange wind rose in Evan’s hand. When the Serpent Lord saw the bizarre wind swirling around Evan’s palm, his expression changed in shock. “You—”

"I told you, I wanted to take a look. Seems like there's no backlash, but instead, I've drawn out its internal power. Not sure if you can handle it." Evan smiled, then used the treasure's power to deal with the Serpent Lord.

The Serpent Lord was shocked and quickly dodged. He knew his treasure was powerful, but now he was furious—and surprised—to be chased by his own treasure.

Evan used the treasure to trap the Serpent Lord in one spot, continuing to manipulate it. He turned to Gavin and asked, "Do you have any way to attack from a distance?"

Gavin thought for a moment and said, "They use poison, right? Then let's use poison too."

"Oh? What kind of poison do you have?" Evan asked curiously.

"I have this." Gavin took out several pills, each covered in tiny granules. It wasn't clear what they were.

Evan asked, "What are these?"

"My father gave them to me for self-defense. He said even Heavenly Dao fears these pills. If they touch Heavenly Dao skin, they can paralyze even a Heavenly Dao expert for a while," Gavin explained.

"Perfect. I'll use the treasure to restrain him, you attack. I doubt he can dodge this time," Evan said with a smile.

Gavin nodded and threw out the pills. The wind shredded them into powder, so sparse the Serpent Lord couldn't see it. As the powder slowly touched his skin, he sensed something was wrong. His body gradually became paralyzed, and Evan's wind swept him up, tossing him to the ground, unable to move.

Evan knew time was limited. He quickly stepped forward and sealed every part of the Serpent Lord's body, ensuring that even after the paralysis faded, he wouldn't be able to move normally.

The Serpent Lord could only glare fiercely at Evan, who smiled and asked, "Is your body paralyzed?"

The Serpent Lord was so paralyzed he couldn't speak. After a few breaths, he finally managed to shout, "You tricked me!"

"How did I trick you?" Evan asked.

"What did you do to me? Why was I paralyzed during the fight?" the Serpent Lord demanded angrily. Evan just smiled and showed him the pill.

"A pill?" the Serpent Lord asked suspiciously.

"That's right. But this isn't an ordinary pill—it can paralyze anyone. You were trapped by the wind, so it's normal you didn't notice," Evan laughed.

"Despicable!" the Serpent Lord spat.

"I admit you're strong, but I'm not despicable. That's it, you can stay here and wait it out," Evan replied.

"Let me go! Give me back my treasure, or I won't let you off!" the Serpent Lord roared.

"I've heard that line a hundred times. Just give up already," Evan said.

After that, Evan turned to Dora Du. "We're heading out. He can't move now, so you two should find somewhere to hide."

"Thank you both," Dora Du said, her voice trembling with emotion. Wen Chun also looked at Evan and Gavin gratefully.

Evan smiled. With this matter settled, he felt a lot more at ease. He took Gavin and left.

Back in Chaos World, Gavin grinned, "Why are you so happy?"

"Don’t you feel good after finishing something important? Especially helping two devoted lovers—one was willing to destroy herself for the other. If it weren’t for me, they wouldn’t have been so lucky," Evan laughed.

"Yeah, yeah, you’re the big hero," Gavin teased helplessly.

"Let’s head to Medicine King Heaven now. I want to see your father," Evan said.

"What are you planning?" Gavin was surprised when Evan mentioned Medicine King Heaven.

"What do you think?" Evan said with a mischievous smile.

"Don’t make trouble," Gavin said awkwardly.

"Trouble? What trouble am I making?" Evan laughed.

"You’re always making trouble," Gavin muttered, not knowing what else to say. Evan smiled, "Just kidding. I want to ask your dad about the Divine Pill Chapter. Didn’t he tell me to bring it back? Did you forget?"

"Oh, so that’s it. I thought you wanted to tell him something else," Gavin said.

"What did you think I wanted to say?" Evan asked.

"I thought you wanted to..." Gavin stopped, her face a little embarrassed. Evan guessed what she meant and laughed, "Don’t worry, I’ll formally propose to your father. You’re already having my child, so I should marry you properly."

"How are you going to make it a grand wedding?" Gavin asked curiously.

"Let me think about it. We’ll talk later." Evan thought about his own parents—at the very least, they should know. He started planning in his mind.

"Alright, but I haven’t met your parents yet. Take me to see them first," Gavin said.

"Alright, after I meet your father this time, we’ll set out and I’ll take you to my world," Evan said. He was eager to see how things were going in the Immortal Realm after being away for so long, and how the gods were doing.

Gavin was excited too, looking forward to meeting Evan’s parents. She smiled, "Okay."

The two continued on their way to Medicine King Heaven. When they arrived, Evan and Gavin ran into the Poison Alchemist and the Strange Alchemist, who were waiting in the shadows.

The two alchemists were thrilled to see Evan return.

"This time, we can’t let him escape no matter what," the Strange Alchemist said.

The Poison Alchemist asked, "So what’s your plan?"

"He’s with the sect master. We’ll have to separate her first," the Strange Alchemist replied.

"To separate the sect master, we’ll have to send her to the forbidden land. Outsiders can’t enter there, so that’s the only way," the Poison Alchemist said.

"Exactly, that’s the plan," the Strange Alchemist snorted.

"But how do we get the sect master to go to the forbidden land?" the Poison Alchemist asked curiously.

"That’s easy. Watch me—I’ll get it ready," the Strange Alchemist said.

The Poison Alchemist was curious. Meanwhile, Evan and Gavin had returned to the sect master’s palace and entered the back area. Seeing the new scenery, Evan was surprised, "Didn’t expect it to look like this back here."

The maids saw an outsider come in and all looked at Evan warily. Gavin smiled, "Don’t worry, I brought him."

"Miss, how can he come in? Isn’t this place supposed to be off-limits to outsiders?" one of the maids asked.

"He’s not an outsider," Gavin replied.

The maids glanced at each other, confused by what Gavin meant. Gavin looked around and asked, "Where’s my father?"

"He hasn’t returned yet, but he said if you came back, we should use this to notify him," Xiao Lan said.

Gavin took the paper from Xiao Lan and burned it. The paper vanished like an illusion.

"What kind of ability is that?" Evan asked curiously.

"It’s a transmission paper," Gavin said with a smile.

"So that’s how it works," Evan muttered.

Just then, another maid rushed in. "Miss, there’s a group of people in the main hall."

"What? What’s going on?" Gavin asked, puzzled.

"I don’t know," the maid replied, confused.

Gavin changed clothes and came out of the back hall with Evan. When the crowd saw the sect master, they all bowed respectfully. The Strange Alchemist and Poison Alchemist glared fiercely at Evan.

"What’s going on? Why are you all here?" Gavin asked curiously.

"Sect master, the forbidden land is acting up again," the Strange Alchemist said. Gavin was shocked, "How is that possible? It’s only been a few years. Ask these people."

Everyone else chimed in, saying they’d seen strange gases outside the forbidden land recently. Gavin frowned, "Got it. We’ll open the forbidden land in an hour. I’ll go in."

"Understood," the Strange Alchemist said.

The others responded and left. Gavin frowned, "That’s odd. Why is it happening so soon?"

"What forbidden land?" Evan asked curiously.

"Medicine King Heaven has a forbidden land that only the sect master can enter. To open it, the sect master and others must work together. It’s a place for cultivating monster grasses, but every so often, strange gases leak out. If it happens, someone has to go in and deal with it, or all the herbs will be ruined," Gavin explained.

Evan hadn’t expected Medicine King Heaven to have such a place. He asked, "What are these monster grasses?"

"I’m not sure either. The previous sect master brought them from somewhere long ago. They’re magical grasses—if you add them to pill refining, the success rate increases by ten percent. Sometimes that’s crucial. So the monster grasses are kept in the forbidden land, and only the sect master can enter," Gavin explained.
