First things first—Ryan Ling could feel his faith surging on the edge of explosion. When he was trapped by the Profound Immortal just now, he’d pretty much lost all hope, but now it was like everything had come back. He’d found the ultimate backer; even if he fell into a bottomless abyss or a sea of death, he wouldn’t feel a shred of fear!
Plus, he could vaguely sense that this hair in his hand was packing some insane power—like, way more than all the strength he had right now, combined!
Just what the hell is this hair, anyway?
Ryan didn’t even dare think further. No need to spell it out—obviously this was the hair of some top-tier god. If just a single strand was this strong, imagine the power packed in their whole body!
And right now, gripping that hair felt like holding a never-before-seen, max-level God-Slaughter Halberd!
“Disciples of Nine-Dragon Gate, today I’m going to wipe out this punk right in front of you—right in front of all of Ruins City! I’ll make sure everyone in the Immortal Domain knows: going up against Nine-Dragon Gate is a dead end! And more than that, from this moment on, Ruins Sect will be erased from this world—erased!” Sect Master Drake Long was shouting at the top of his lungs!
And right then, everyone around—especially the people of Ruins City—finally got it. The thousand-year rivalry between these two super-sects was ending right here. There can’t be two suns in the sky; sooner or later, Ruins Sect and Nine-Dragon Gate had to clash. Now it was clear: Ruins Sect was totally defeated, and Nine-Dragon Gate was the last one standing!
At this moment, the Sect Master had to slaughter Ryan Ling right in front of everyone. After all the wild moves Ryan pulled just now, it was obvious he wasn’t some random nobody—honestly, calling him Ruins Sect’s savior wouldn’t be an exaggeration. But if he wasn’t wiped out for good, Ruins Sect’s roots would never be truly cut!
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
......
For a moment, all the Nine-Dragon Gate disciples started shouting, totally losing their minds with excitement—like they were about to eat Ryan Ling alive, right on the spot!
And right at that critical moment, the Sect Master’s twisted space began to show itself. Lots of people outside could vaguely see Ryan’s figure—blurry as heck, but he looked like an ant squirming on a hot pan, totally desperate!
That just made the Nine-Dragon Gate crowd even more hyped, howling like crazy. The leftover Ruins Sect people, though, were drowning in despair. Sect Master Ethan Yue was straight-up sobbing—his sect had lasted a thousand years, surviving who knows how many disasters to reach this point. Generations of ancestors had fought and died to make Ruins Sect shine, and now, in his hands, it was all about to collapse. He was about to go down as the biggest sinner in history—how could Ethan Yue not be in agony?
But fate seemed locked in—everything was teetering on the edge of destruction, and not even a god could change it now!
"You little bastard, you do have some tricks. I never thought Ruins Sect could produce someone like you. If you hadn’t wiped out my Elder Council, maybe I’d have tried to recruit you for your skills. But now you have to die—and your soul will be scattered, crushed by Nine-Dragon Gate forever, suffering the worst tortures in the world. That’s the only way to ease my hatred!" Sect Master Drake Long was getting more and more pissed, his rage burning out of control. Ryan Ling’s slaughter of the Elder Council had hit him hard—the council was Nine-Dragon Gate’s backbone, and it’d take years to recover. So yeah, Ryan had to die!
"Kid, got any last words?" Drake Long demanded, seeing Ryan Ling totally silent. Clearly, snuffing out a genius like this was a huge loss.
But Ryan didn’t seem to hear him at all—he was just standing there, completely still, eyes shut tight. Nobody had a clue what he was doing!
"Sect Master, finish him off! Rip off his skin—avenge our Elder Council!" A Supreme Elder yelled, and the others joined in, all grinding their teeth in fury. They just couldn’t stand Ryan’s blank expression any longer!
"Fine, I’ll end him myself!" Drake Long didn’t hesitate for a second. A mysterious divine force blasted toward Ryan Ling, splitting into a dozen streams and surrounding him from all sides. It was an absolutely insane spectacle—Drake Long was about to melt Ryan down to ash, live, in front of everyone!
But right at the last possible second, everything flipped—Ryan’s eyes snapped open, and the power he’d been building up blasted straight at the weakest spot in the twisted space. That point blew apart, flipping the whole situation on its head!
Drake Long was totally caught off guard—he never expected Ryan, who was supposed to be trapped like a sitting duck, to suddenly jump up like a whole new person. The burst of power was so shocking it even made him nervous. And the craziest part? Ryan seemed to be packing some kind of artifact, and when he unleashed it, it actually managed to hurt Drake Long’s Profound Immortal defenses!
Drake Long was floored. He’d dominated the Immortal Domain for a thousand years and seen every kind of genius, but never someone like Ryan Ling. That burst of power—how the hell did he pull it off so fast?
Right now, Drake Long had only one thought: stop him at all costs. He was a Profound Immortal, after all—in the Immortal World, that put him way above the norm. Stopping a Heavenly Immortal should be as easy as squashing an ant!
"Think you can run? Not a chance!" Drake Long roared, sending wave after wave of insane power crashing toward Ryan again. He’d planned to take his time with Ryan—even squeeze some benefits out of him, since the kid had serious potential. But now, all bets were off. He just wanted Ryan dead, period!

But the real shocker? Ryan had already smashed through Drake Long’s defenses, and that artifact of his was just off the charts. No matter how Drake Long tried to block him, it was useless!
With a move straight out of a miracle, Ryan blasted through every shackle Drake Long threw at him, bursting out of the twisted space. This was a Profound Immortal grand array—forget Heavenly Immortals, even someone on the same level as Drake Long shouldn’t be able to break out!
Ryan’s power right now was just insane—everyone was freaking out!
Any cultivator who saw this scene just couldn’t believe their eyes!
"Ryan! Ryan!" Elder Harold Hong was waiting at the entrance of Ruins Sect’s secret tunnel, and when he saw what happened, he rushed to open the passage for Ryan!
Ryan’s goal was to dive into the tunnel as fast as possible—he couldn’t afford to hesitate, so he dove right in!
"Awesome!" All around, Ruins Sect’s higher-ups—even Shentu Haoyu, who was half-dead—were overjoyed. Ryan’s escape basically meant victory for Ruins Sect!
But on the other side, Drake Long was absolutely furious. He roared, unleashing waves of Profound Immortal power. Maybe he’d only used 50–60% of his strength before—since Profound Immortal force is crazy strong, and going all-out could flatten Ruins Sect, maybe even the whole Ruins City.
Now he didn’t care anymore—he blasted out 80% of his Profound Immortal force. People in Ruins City couldn’t take it, and even the Supreme Elders of his own sect had to scramble to defend themselves. This level of power was just not something normal people could handle, and Ryan’s entire escape route was blown to bits—even the tunnel entrance was shredded beyond recognition.
Ryan had escaped, but the crisis wasn’t over. At that moment, the thousand-year-old secret tunnel started to collapse...
