Feeling the Power of Civilization

Looking at the shock in Prince Alexander's eyes, Lily Evans smiled and blew on the smoking barrel. "Prince Alexander, if I used this weapon against you, do you think you could dodge it?"

Prince Alexander looked into Lily Evans's eyes, then glanced at the smoking firearm and swallowed hard.

He knew his martial arts were strong and his movements were quick. If it were any ordinary projectile, he was confident he could dodge it.

But the projectile fired from Lily Evans's hand was tiny and incredibly fast—almost impossible to see with the naked eye. Prince Alexander instantly realized he couldn't dodge it.

Prince Alexander shook his head honestly. "This bullet is too fast. I... don't think I can dodge it."

Lily Evans grinned, channeling her inner Neo. She dodged imaginary bullets, then winked at Prince Alexander. "In the age of firearms, even The Matrix's slow-motion wouldn't save you."

"Prince Alexander, take a look at this." Lily Evans took the Western hunting rifle from Edward and fired at a tree.

The hunting rifle was even more powerful than the pistol—it snapped the tree in half with a single shot. Prince Alexander's jaw dropped.

Prince Alexander was dumbfounded. "This firearm is truly incredible!"

"These guns are French weapons. Prince Alexander, imagine—even a weak woman like me can kill effortlessly with a gun. If the French army came armed with these guns to fight our troops, how much chance do you think we'd have?" Lily Evans sighed, glancing at the crate of firearms. "These guns are just part of the French military's arsenal. They have even more powerful cannons. A single cannonball can blast a hole in our city walls. Those cannons can be mounted at sea or used on land."

Prince Alexander stared at what was at Lily Evans's feet and suddenly fell silent.

Lily Evans smiled. "Scared? This is just the beginning. Soon, everyone will understand the power of Western technology."

In the West, nations are already using these firearms and artillery. Their armies are equipped with advanced weapons far beyond what Jin currently possesses.

If those nations sailed over with their firearms and artillery, could Jin's army really withstand them?

Prince Alexander had seen firsthand how powerful these Western firearms were—even he was shocked. He understood that their force was something no flesh and blood could stand against.

Prince Alexander finally understood. The world was changing, and the power of technology was unstoppable. He looked at Lily Evans with newfound respect.

Prince Alexander's mind raced. He imagined the thunderous roar of cannons and the hail of bullets raining down. The battlefield would be transformed—no longer a contest of strength and skill, but of technology and firepower.

After hearing this, Prince Alexander remained silent, crouching down and gently touching the unfamiliar black metal firearm barrel.

The world had changed. The age of swords and spears was fading, swept aside by the relentless tide of progress. Prince Alexander felt the weight of civilization pressing down, as if the future itself had come knocking at his door.
