After Molly Yun finished speaking, her body stiffened slightly before she quickly added, "Even though I don't have a sister, she and I are both daughters of the Yun Family. I've always treated her like my own sister. There's nothing wrong with that, right?"
"Nothing wrong at all." Eric Jiang stared hard at Molly Yun before slowly uttering these three words.
Cecilia Gu smiled at Molly Yun. "Thank you for saying such heartfelt words to me. I truly appreciate it. I once had an older sister, but unfortunately... It's always been my regret. We were born of the same parents, yet I never got to meet her. Thank you for letting me be a little sister for once."
Molly Yun lowered her gaze. "Thank you, too, for letting me be an older sister."
Cecilia Gu stood up. "If you're not feeling well, just rest here a bit longer. As the hostess, I can't be away for too long today. If you're hungry, you can ask someone to bring food here."
"Alright, I will." Molly Yun nodded gently.
"Cousin, I'll get back to work now." Cecilia Gu nodded to Eric Jiang.
"Alright." Eric Jiang smiled and said, "I'll take care of her."
Once Cecilia Gu left, Eric Jiang suddenly turned around and stared intently at Molly Yun, making her feel a bit uneasy.
"You... what's wrong?" Molly Yun instinctively took a step back.
Eric Jiang took a step closer to Molly Yun, and she instinctively stepped back.
One moved forward, the other retreated, and soon they ended up by the sofa.
Molly Yun's eyes darted around nervously. "W-what are you trying to do?"
"Miss Yun, since you're part of the Yun Family, let me ask you about someone." Eric Jiang stared into Molly Yun's eyes. "You said you've always paid attention to Cecilia, so do you know Nora Yun?"
Molly Yun's heart suddenly started racing!
Why did he suddenly bring up Nora Yun's name?
Did he discover something?
"I... As a member of the Yun Family, of course I know Eastshire's top talent." Molly Yun replied. "Why are you asking me this all of a sudden?"
"Don't you think some of your traits are actually quite similar to hers?" Eric Jiang pressed on.
Molly Yun's face turned pale in an instant, and she instinctively retorted, "What nonsense! Nora Yun is one person, I'm another. Why are you asking me such strange questions? Are you doubting my reason for getting close to Cecilia? Didn't I already explain everything just now? Fine, I've rested enough, I'm leaving."
After saying this, Molly Yun hurriedly got up and left.
Eric Jiang watched Molly Yun's departing figure, his eyes growing even deeper.
He always felt that something was off about Molly Yun.
The words she blurted out today were exactly what Nora used to say all the time back then!
Could it be that this woman admires Nora Yun so much that she's gone mad—not only imitating Nora's speech, but also taking care of Nora's little sister for her?
If that's the case, it's really quite scary!
But as long as she doesn't mean any harm to Cecilia Gu, it's fine.
Seeing how nervous she was just now, it didn't seem fake.
It was more like she placed Cecilia in the most important spot in her heart, even disregarding herself.
So strange!
Someone from the Wufu would actually get this nervous about Cecilia.
After rushing out of the room, Molly Yun immediately hid behind a big tree.
She raised her hand to touch her injured back, wounded while protecting Cecilia Gu.
The pain made her grimace.
But she didn't regret it at all.
Molly Yun took out the ointment the doctor gave her and, with difficulty, applied it to herself. Once the medicine was absorbed, she straightened her clothes.
Molly Yun turned to leave, only to see Ethan Yin looking at her with bright eyes.
Molly Yun instinctively reached out to pat Ethan Yin's head. "Is there something you need?"
Ethan Yin stood there, tilting his head as he looked at Molly Yun.
So strange—he usually resists strangers doing this.
But he didn't mind this aunt touching him.
"I'm here to thank you for protecting my mommy and little sister," Ethan Yin said seriously. "Thank you for saving Mommy and my sister."
"It's what I should do," Molly Yun replied with a smile.
Ethan Yin shook his head, "No. Mommy told me that in this world, no one is obligated to be nice to you. If someone helps you, you must thank them."
Molly Yun laughed softly, "That's right, your mother is correct."
Molly Yun gently squatted down so her gaze was level with Ethan Yin. "Your mommy has had a tough life. You're the eldest son, the big brother, and the heir to the Yin family. You have a lot of responsibility on your shoulders. Right now, we're here to protect you, but when you grow up, it'll be your turn to protect your mommy. Work hard to grow up strong, and don't let her down."
"But Auntie, why do you care so much about Mommy?" Ethan Yin's little face turned serious. "My teacher said, 'No one gives you something for nothing—unless they want something from you.'"
Molly Yun couldn't help but burst out laughing.
"Auntie, are you protecting Mommy because you want something? If it's money or status, I promise I'll give you all of that in the future. But please, don't hurt my mommy," Ethan Yin said stubbornly.
"No need," Molly Yun laughed so hard she was out of breath. "I've had all of that before, and I'm very content with my life now. I won't go chasing things that don't belong to me. My only wish is for your mommy to be happy."
"But why?" Ethan Yin still wouldn't let go of the question.
"Because... she feels like my little sister. As her big sister, I came into this world to protect her," Molly Yun said gently, her eyes filled with tenderness. "I never had the chance before, but now fate has given me this opportunity. So I'll quietly stand in the corner, just watching your family be happy is enough for me."
"Alright, you little rascal. You even know how to come here to question me," Molly Yun straightened up. "I should get going."

Ethan Yin stood there, half-understanding, watching Molly Yun's figure as she left. He couldn't help but mutter to himself, "Why does what she said feel so much like family? Hm? I must've secretly drunk some fruit wine and gotten confused! Whatever, as long as she doesn't mean any harm to Mommy, it's fine! Time to go play with Mia Gu!"
A normal wedding banquet lasted a full six days and nights.
Cecilia Gu couldn't handle it, so she only appeared on the first day, toasted everyone, and then went back to her room to rest and take care of her pregnancy.
Lately, Old Madam Yin had a new hobby—she loved looking at her precious granddaughter's ultrasound images every day.
"Hey, Cecilia, do you think this child's legs are pretty long? Could she grow taller than her brother?" Old Madam Yin took off her reading glasses and looked at Cecilia Gu expectantly.
Cecilia Gu made a helpless face. "Grandma, what are you saying! Ethan is only three and a half, and he's already half a head taller than other kids his age. The doctor checked his bone age—he's born to be tall with long legs. He'll probably be as tall as Charles Yin. As for this little girl, no matter how tall she gets, she won't be taller than Ethan."
"That makes sense," Madam Yin kept looking at the ultrasound images, even more excited than when she saw Ethan's back in the day.
Back then, they already predicted Ethan Yin's looks and figure. Now it's even better—the computer directly simulated how this little girl will grow in the future.
No wonder—the whole family treats Cecilia Gu like a panda, and they're even more full of hope for the baby in her belly.
Finally, there's a daughter!
Our Yin family finally has a legitimate daughter!
Old Madam Yin instantly felt so proud!
Who says our old Yin family only has sons?
See? My granddaughter-in-law is amazing!
One son and one daughter—now that's perfect!
"You're just worrying for nothing," Old Madam Yun's voice came from the doorway. Cecilia Gu turned to see the nanny helping Old Madam Yun walk over, trembling.
These days, Old Madam Yun looked even older.
Astrologers usually don't live long, but Old Madam Yun was already considered long-lived.
Even so, her health clearly wasn't as good as Old Madam Yin's.
The two old ladies finally met again at Cecilia Gu and Charles Yin's wedding.
After decades apart, when they met again, both had white hair—it was really bittersweet.
Old Madam Yin put down the album and looked up at Old Madam Yun, "Hmph, you as the maternal great-grandma don't care, but I as the paternal great-grandma can't ignore it. This is our Yin family's precious child."
"Hmph, so what? In the end, it's still my Yun family's bloodline!" Old Madam Yun fired back.
Cecilia Gu just felt a headache coming on.
They're both in their eighties—why are they still bickering like kids?
"I'm not arguing with you—I don't want to scare my precious great-granddaughter!" Old Madam Yin shot her a look and happily continued reading the doctor's report.
The maid helped Old Madam Yun sit down. Cecilia Gu asked, "Grandma, are you feeling any better?"
Old Madam Yun nodded, "I'm fine. Just getting old, that's all. Even if there's no major illness, this old machine is getting loose in the parts."
"You guarded the Yun family with all those magical pills—why didn't you take more yourself?" Old Madam Yin couldn't help but tease.
"Every medicine has its side effects. Besides, a person's lifespan is fate—it's destined!" Old Madam Yun glared at her. "I don't feel like arguing with you. Isn't my great-granddaughter well-behaved?"
After saying this, Old Madam Yun gently patted Cecilia Gu's belly.
Cecilia Gu couldn't help but laugh. "Alright, alright, no more bickering. The guests are all leaving one by one, so it's time for us to start sorting things out."
Old Madam Yin immediately pushed the butler toward Cecilia Gu. "Go help the young madam. I'm too old to worry about these things."
Old Madam Yun disagreed, "If you don't worry, who will? Cecilia is pregnant with your precious great-granddaughter. Aren't you afraid she'll get tired?"
Seeing the two about to argue again, Cecilia Gu quickly said, "Stop, stop! I have a suggestion—Siyao is already set to be with Violet Wei, so Violet is basically half family now. She doesn't have much to do, so why not let her help me out? Grandma, what do you think?"
Cecilia Gu looked at Old Madam Yin.
