Inside the storage room.

Andrew Han glanced at Gavin King, whose face was deathly pale, and couldn’t help but laugh in astonishment. Then, curious, he gave the stainless-steel safe door a couple of casual tugs.

Crack!

The door, several centimeters thick, snapped instantly.

The door’s hinge to the safe had already broken, falling to the floor with a metallic clang.

That single action terrified Gavin King.

He couldn’t help but shiver all over, a chill running through his heart. In this moment, Andrew Han seemed like a giant holding up the sky, someone he could only look up to.

Of course,

He was kneeling on the ground, so looking up was all he could do.

But regardless of the reason, Gavin King’s mind was on the verge of collapse. Wasn’t he supposed to enter a password or cut the lock? How had it turned into such a jaw-dropping spectacle?

Heavens above!

That was a safe! A stainless-steel safe, for goodness’ sake!

......

On the other side,

Andrew Han looked inside the safe. There were five or six small booklets, their covers yellowed as if they’d aged over many years.

"Techniques?"

He reached in and picked one up.

Huh?

One of the booklets contained a trace of Graywhite Aura.

It was only a faint trace, but it couldn’t be ignored.

Little by little, it adds up.

Grains of sand become a mountain.

So Andrew Han absorbed the trace of Graywhite Aura without hesitation, then turned his attention to the six techniques in his hands. His expression shifted from curiosity to calm, finally settling into thoughtful reflection.

Were such crude techniques really worth locking in a safe?

The five techniques Master Miles Ning had given him—Andrew could barely get through the second page, and the third page was a struggle to comprehend. But with these, he could read straight to the end.

"So a single technique is truly that important."

"No wonder Master stressed over and over that without martial resources, even peerless talent means nothing." Andrew kept his composure, grateful for the strategic significance of having a master.

As the saying goes, the fragrance of plum blossoms comes from bitter cold.

With Miles Ning as his master, Andrew faced constant life-and-death risks—but the rewards were just as rich.

After a moment’s thought, he flipped through the booklets again.

These techniques weren’t worth practicing himself, but keeping them to give to others later might be worthwhile.

"But still—"

Books could also contain Graywhite Aura, and this one was less than a hundred years old. It seemed the existence of Graywhite Aura depended not on age, but on the experiences an object had undergone.

A thoughtful look flickered in Andrew’s eyes.

So far, he’d searched almost every possible source of Graywhite Aura in Riverdale.

Even if Southland University hadn’t started yet, he would still have to leave Riverdale soon.

Going forward, Andrew planned to study the objects containing Graywhite Aura in each city he visited, to see if there was any pattern. He had some guesses, but nothing was certain yet.

"Once I’m in university, I’ll be basically free."

"Maybe I should make time to visit the imperial capital of Sinovera. After all, the antiques and relics there are countless, and there are plenty of buildings over a thousand years old."

His thoughts spun quickly, and within moments—

Andrew Han shook his head, suppressing his stray thoughts, and looked at Gavin King, who stood quietly with his head bowed. A smile appeared on Andrew’s face. “Gavin, you’re already at Second Rank peak. I’d say you’ll break through to First Rank within a few years.”

“Yes, sir.” Gavin replied respectfully.

He didn’t dare look up.

No matter what was hidden in the safe, it was none of his business. As a representative, he had to keep his mindset in check and know his place.

Besides,

After witnessing such a shocking display, Gavin understood even more clearly just how unfathomable this young man’s power was… and how dazzling his future would be.

“Here, take this technique and practice it on your own.” Andrew nodded, handing Gavin a booklet with only two pages.

“A technique?” Gavin’s face lit up with joy as he looked up.

This was the true essence of martial arts. He’d only heard rumors about such things, never had the right to see one, let alone own one.

Immediately afterward,

A yellowed booklet landed in his arms.

Andrew smiled lightly. “You’re only Second Rank. You wouldn’t be able to read the other techniques anyway. Try practicing this simplest one.”

Th-thank you, sir."

Gavin was so excited he trembled all over.

The dim light in the storage room illuminated his deeply moved and grateful face, as if he were swearing to do everything he could for Andrew Han.

......

Five minutes earlier, at the main entrance of Lyth Equipment Mart.

Manager Shaw strode over to Kevin Wang and the others, smiling. With just a few words, he understood the intent of these university students.
