Ethan Yin's Weakness

"That Emma Yin, you'd better not get too close to her. She's not a good person." Ethan Yin suddenly spoke up.

"Hm? You know her?" Cici instinctively asked back.

"Of course I do. With the surname Yin, who wouldn't know her?" Ethan Yin gave a bitter smile, then looked seriously at Cici and said, "Emma Yin's family is a branch of the Yin clan. Strictly speaking, it's a branch that hasn't even made it past the fifth blessing. So, she's still considered a Yin. When the family split, Uncle Ben Yin inherited the Tenhowe Branch, as well as some overseas assets and influence. Of course, compared to the main Yin family, that wealth and power is nothing."

"But Emma Yin has always been arrogant and domineering. Plus, she really gets along with Grandma, who spoils that branch of the family. And since the Yin family, from my father to our generation, has no daughters—only sons—Grandma is especially lenient with Emma. Some people just take a feather and think it's an arrow, acting like they're the real heiress of the Yin family." Ethan Yin sneered, then continued, "Emma isn't just arrogant, she's vicious. You saw it yourself earlier—she's quick to raise her hand if she doesn't get her way. So you'd better keep your distance from her."

Cici nodded, "Thanks for the warning."

"I can't help you with much else," Ethan Yin's voice softened. "I have my own concerns. After all, I can't put my mother and sister at risk."

Cici still didn't fully understand what Ethan Yin meant by that, but she knew he had his difficulties.

"You've already helped me a lot. Thank you." Cici sincerely thanked Ethan Yin.

Ethan Yin's ears began to turn red. "As long as you don't blame me, that's enough."

Cici glanced up at the sun overhead and said, "I should head back. Everyone's probably waiting for me!"
