The Sorrow of the Silverwing God-King

1/18/2026

The first bolt of lightning barely made Rhea Redmoon break a sweat—in fact, she was actually looking forward to the second one.

She didn’t have to wait long for the next one.

It crashed down again, this time much stronger than the last.

Rhea Redmoon still held a grudge against that mysterious existence in the Primordial Forbidden Zone, so without a second thought, she flung the Ancient Soul Bead straight into the lightning.

Crack!

Another sharp crack echoed—it was like something inside the bead had been shattered. The bead soaked up most of the lightning’s power, and when the weakened force hit Rhea Redmoon, it still couldn’t shake her protective divine shield.

Since Rhea Redmoon’s tribulation was underway, Silverwing God-King paused his technique research. Watching her breeze through two bolts without so much as a scratch, he let out a soft sigh.

Some people just make gods jealous!

Meanwhile, deep inside the Primordial Forbidden Zone, that mysterious existence let out a low, frustrated roar—it could sense its split soul inside the Ancient Soul Bead being attacked again.

It couldn’t figure it out—within the Ancient Soul Bead, it had set up over ten thousand layers of restrictions. Even most God-Kings couldn’t break them. How could that kid possibly hurt its split soul?

Back then, it had seemed to compromise with Ian Song, but in reality, it was laying out its own scheme.

Its true body couldn’t escape the suppression of the Primordial Forbidden Zone, so it tampered with the techniques and injected a wisp of its split soul into each of the two God Emperor artifacts.

As long as that kid kept cultivating those techniques, the deeper he went, the more in sync he’d become with the split soul. Once it hit a certain threshold, the split soul could leap out and seize his body.

But to keep the kid from discovering its split soul, it set up insanely strong restrictions inside the God Emperor artifacts.

The third bolt.

The fourth and fifth bolts came crashing down one after the other, but the Ancient Soul Bead soaked up almost all their power. Rhea Redmoon only had to endure a tiny bit—it was almost too easy.

She even noticed the bead’s resistance was getting stronger, though she had no idea it was the split soul instinctively triggering the restrictions inside to neutralize the lightning.

The fifth bolt came down.

Rhea Redmoon tossed out the bead again.

Crack!

The bead shuddered violently under the strike, but then a low growl came from inside it. Suddenly, a burst of black light flared out, dissolving all the power of the lightning.

Hearing that growl, Ian Song immediately understood what was going on.

That voice was way too familiar—wasn’t it the mysterious existence from the Primordial Forbidden Zone?

So that guy really did mess with the bead.

He probably stuffed a split soul in there.

The tribulation cloud in the sky seemed to get pissed off by the bead, and it actually sent down the remaining four bolts of lightning all at once.

"Damn it!"

A curse echoed from inside the bead, then it shot up, black light blazing, and in an instant, all four bolts were shattered.

"That’s it?"

Rhea Redmoon was a little stunned, and also amazed at the strength of that existence in the Primordial Forbidden Zone. Even just a split soul could ignore the God-King Tribulation.

After the first round of the God-King Tribulation, Rhea Redmoon’s aura started to change. Compared to Silverwing God-King, her tribulation was way too easy. Back then, Silverwing God-King was almost struck to death.

For a moment, he regretted not waiting for Ian Song to arrive before facing his tribulation—he wouldn’t have suffered so much!

The bead’s glow gradually faded.

Finally, it landed back in Rhea Redmoon’s hand.

Time ticked by, the heavy tribulation cloud had completely dispersed, and the second round of God-King Tribulation was brewing.

A palace appeared, and nine divine spirits flew out.

Then one spirit descended from the sky, charging straight at Rhea Redmoon.

Rhea Redmoon had a flash of inspiration and tossed out the bead.

"Break!"

The spirit swung its sword, looking like it was about to slice the bead in half.

Then, things got wild—a giant black hand shot out from inside the bead, thunder booming, and smashed the spirit to pieces. The shattered spirit turned into starlight and merged into Rhea Redmoon, making her aura surge instantly.

"I get it now—killing these spirits gives way better rewards than just defeating them!"

Silverwing God-King shouted in frustration.

"How dare you!"

"Impudent!"

"You actually dared to kill a divine spirit!"

With cold shouts, all eight spirits descended at once. Rhea Redmoon’s face went pale—there was no way she could handle eight at once.

But she quickly realized her worry was pointless.

Because all those spirits were focused on the bead.

Facing the attack from eight spirits, the bead fought back—a pair of black hands appeared, unleashing a mysterious palm technique, and in just a few breaths, smashed all eight spirits to pieces.

The shattered spirits turned into light and merged into Rhea Redmoon again, making her aura climb even faster.

"Hehe, little brother, you’ve really helped your big sister out! This is the easiest tribulation I’ve ever had!"

Hearing Rhea Redmoon laugh, Silverwing God-King shot Ian Song a resentful look.

Ian Song quickly laughed, "Haha, don’t blame me, Brother Galen! If you’d waited for me before your tribulation, I definitely would’ve let you borrow the bead!"

The third round of God-King Tribulation was brewing.

For a moment, Ian Song’s eyes widened—he wanted to see what Rhea Redmoon’s deepest desires were. Would a bunch of handsome guys really appear to tempt her?

"Wait! Something’s off!"

Silverwing God-King exclaimed.

He’d just noticed—a giant rainbow-colored gate had appeared in the sky.

The gate swung open.

Golden war chariots flew out, each pulled by divine dragons made of pure energy. On every chariot stood a spirit clad in golden armor.

"Eliminate the outsiders!"

The spirits shouted and charged down in their chariots, one after another.

"Quick! Throw the bead at them!"

Ian Song shouted loudly.

There were hundreds of these spirits. Even though Rhea Redmoon’s power had risen a lot, she still couldn’t take them all on.

So he just tossed the bead right into the crowd of spirits.

"Kill!"

Sure enough, these spirits were here for the bead. Hundreds of armored spirits attacked all at once.

But the bead wasn’t just waiting to die—a pair of black hands burst out and started a wild fight against the golden-armored spirits.

"Puff, puff!"

Those black hands were downright savage—even surrounded, they tore the golden spirits to pieces. The fragments turned to light and floated toward Rhea Redmoon at the edge of the battlefield.

Half an hour later.

The battle was over. All the golden-armored spirits had been slain, and those black hands looked a lot dimmer.

As for Rhea Redmoon, she’d just watched the whole show for half an hour—but she got the biggest benefit.

Her strength had increased at least a hundredfold.

"That’s fate for you!"

Silverwing God-King let out a long sigh in his heart. He’d always believed in forging his own strength, but right now, having a good little brother beat everything else.
