Failed Abduction

But if I let Quincy keep going, Ethan Gray's good mood might vanish. Roxy Shangguan wanted to say something, but Ethan's warning glance pinned her in place. She could only droop her head and silently beg Quincy not to push things too far.

She couldn't help but sigh inwardly. Sure enough, trying to play tricks under Ethan Gray's nose was asking for trouble!

Quincy, don't blame me. I've done all I can! If anyone's at fault, it's because Ethan Gray and his wife are just too close. For them, a day apart feels like three autumns—for these two, even a moment apart is unbearable! No matter how much she tried to stall, Ethan was determined to find that little lost kitty, Yuna. There was nothing she could do.

Just as Quincy was about to make another move, Yuna frowned and suddenly shouted, "Stop!"

Quincy paused, baffled by what Yuna was up to this time.

Yuna flicked the dust off her fur with a paw, shook out her little legs, and shot Quincy a look of utter disdain. Coolly, she declared, "Sweetheart, give it a rest! You can't beat me!" Seriously, if you're going to pick on someone, at least choose your target wisely. Was she really that easy to bully?

Roxy Shangguan couldn't hold back her laughter. There were few who could rile up Quincy like this—her sister-in-law really was a treasure!

Yuna turned and shot Ethan Gray a look, pursing her lips. As if she didn't know he'd been watching the whole show—honestly, he was too much!

Ethan Gray caught her disgruntled expression and curled his lips into a faint smile. "Come here."
