Extremely Satisfying

"Alex!" Sophie White looked up and saw Alexander Hayes standing beside Commander Sean. She immediately switched to a pitiful expression. "I just wanted to check on Princess Lily and little Charles out of kindness... Alex, please tell Princess Lily, I've always stayed by your side, you raised me yourself, I'm not an outsider!"

"Susan, didn't I tell you to recover at the Lin Residence? Who allowed you to come to the Prince of Qin's Manor!?" Alexander Hayes was completely unmoved by Sophie White's act, and questioned her coldly.

Sophie White felt a pang of guilt. Alexander Hayes had strictly forbidden her from coming, but she relied on his leniency and ignored his words, sneaking into the Prince of Qin's Manor anyway.

"I was just worried about Princess Lily and little Charles..." Sophie White protested, sounding aggrieved.

"Go back to the Lin Residence." Alexander Hayes looked at Sophie White and ordered in a commanding tone.

"But I’m already here—and a guest! Princess Lily didn’t even offer me a cup of tea. She clearly looks down on me!" Sophie White complained, accusing Lily Evans of poor hospitality.

Alexander Hayes looked at Sophie White, expressionless. "Are you really that desperate for a cup of tea from the Prince of Qin's Manor?"

Then Alexander glanced at Lola, who immediately understood and slipped into the kitchen. She soon returned, carrying a teapot bigger than her own head.

"If you really need tea, drink this whole pot," Alexander Hayes said.

Sophie White stared at the enormous teapot, her face turning red. "Alex! Are you making fun of me?"

"Alex, how could you treat me like this! Have you forgotten my father's dying wish?" Sophie White cried, covering her face. She stomped her foot, kicked the teapot flying, threw her gifts aside, and ran off in a huff.

Commander Sean looked at Alexander Hayes for instructions, unsure what to do.

"Let her go," Alexander Hayes said, glancing at the mess on the ground. He shook his head and strode into the house.

Inside, Lily Evans sat on the bed. Beside her, Cynthia Wu was seated, cradling Charles Hayes in her arms.

Cynthia Wu greeted Alexander Hayes respectfully. Lily Evans watched him enter, her eyes and brows filled with a gentle smile.

Just now, Lily Evans had overheard Alexander Hayes's attitude toward Sophie White. He hadn't given Sophie any face in front of Lily, which made Lily feel extremely comfortable.

If Alexander Hayes had defended Sophie White in front of Lily, that would have truly been a slap in Lily's face!

Lily Evans smiled playfully, teasing, "Oh my, since when did Your Highness gain a little sister? How come I never knew I had a new sister-in-law?"

Alexander Hayes saw Lily's expression and knew she didn't care about Sophie White at all—she was just joking. He dotingly tapped Lily's nose. "You're a mother now, yet still so mischievous. When did I ever have a sister?"

Lily Evans grinned, seizing the moment. "That's more like it! I'm just clarifying, so if any Miss White, Miss Black, Miss Green, or Miss Blue shows up claiming to be your sister, I'll know how to handle it."

"Mischievous!" Alexander Hayes pinched Lily Evans's cheek, then took Charles Hayes from Cynthia Wu. "Charles, were you good while Daddy was away? Did you make Mommy angry?"

"Chang'an was very good! Just looking at him melts my heart. How could I possibly be angry?" Lily Evans leaned in to admire her son. "Look, Your Highness, Chang'an has grown so much during the confinement month—he's taller and chubbier than just a few days ago!"
