I Can See Her Little Tongue
Sean Shaw stared at the Fish’s round eyes. “Can’t you rescue Lucia first, then go back for the others?”
“You think I work for free?” The Fish rolled its eyes. “Your task for me was just to rescue Lucia Lu!”
“Every rescue counts as a separate job!”
“Hey, I can work with that.” The Fish immediately stopped rolling its eyes. “But jumping in and out takes time. If the ones left inside can’t hold out, there’s nothing I can do.”
Sean smacked the Fish.
“Hey, don’t hit me! I’m telling the truth!”
...
In reality, the Fish can only take Sean Shaw through spatial jumps.
But Sean can bring one other person with him.
So Sean has to follow the Fish.
Also, Divine Lord Tanya Quinn is a master of arrays, so she has to go too.
Entering the array is risky, so Quentin Lian insisted his family go in themselves. In the end, he and Ethan Lu were chosen to enter, each targeting one of the other array cores.
...
In the Celestial Empress’s domain.
Lucia Lu was thrown to the ground by Leo Li.
The prison cage shimmered around her, half-visible, half-hidden.
She slowly stood up and looked at the people before her: the Celestial Empress and Jenna Summers.
The Celestial Empress sat regally on her phoenix throne.
Jenna Summers dutifully offered her a cup of tea.
“Lucia Lu. You really are the most ungrateful woman I’ve ever met!” the Celestial Empress said slowly and loftily.
Lucia wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, saying nothing.
“You think if you don’t bite Sean, he’ll live?” The Celestial Empress smiled slightly. “Impossible! He’s hopelessly obsessed with you—he’ll come to rescue you!”
“You can’t trap him.” Lucia said calmly.
“Let’s wait and see!” The Celestial Empress waved her hand, and several Surveillance Talisman screens appeared in the air, showing her former cell and the God-Sealing Grand Array outside.
Inside the cell, a woman lay sprawled on the ground—she looked a lot like Lucia.
Just now, they brought Lucia here and left a double in the cell.
Soon, four people charged into the array.
Because the array was filled with Illumination Rays, invisibility was useless—they had to attack head-on.
“See? I told you he’d come!” The Celestial Empress laughed. “And look at his path—he’s heading straight for the cell! Do you know what kind of cell that is?”
“What kind of cell?” Lucia asked.
“That’s actually a cell once used to imprison Fiends! Emperor Evan Xiao and the Holy Lord put special restrictions on it. Once he goes in, the cell will seal instantly—solid as a miniature world! Then death-light will flood it! You think he can escape? Hahaha!”
Lucia glanced at the Celestial Empress.
She was so smug, Lucia could literally see her little tongue as she laughed.
Sean entered the cell and quickly realized the woman on the ground wasn’t Lucia—it was a fake.
He was about to leave when the God-Sealing Grand Array activated—the cell door vanished, forming a tiny world with no exit.
The Celestial Empress grew even more delighted, laughing maniacally, almost crazed.
But then, red light flared around Sean and he suddenly vanished.
The death-light appeared, but hit nothing.
The Celestial Empress’s laughter stopped abruptly. Eyes wide, she shrieked three times: “Impossible!”
On the screen, Sean reappeared beside Divine Lord Tanya Quinn and teleported her out.
Everything in the carefully designed God-Sealing Grand Array was for nothing!
“How is this possible? How can he move freely inside the God-Sealing Grand Array?” the Celestial Empress roared.
Lucia smiled. “Looks like your plan is about to fail!”
