Although he didn't know why he couldn't stay here for three months, Evan Yang knew that the white-bearded, bald old man had his reasons for warning them.
So Evan decided to finish up his business here and leave, since he’d already been here for nearly two years.
At the Swain Family estate, Young Master Swain was brooding over his troubles when a figure suddenly appeared before him. Before he could even shout, Evan Yang sealed him.
At this moment, Young Master Swain was in his own room, and after the figure entered, the door was closed.
"Young Master Swain, how are you doing?" Evan Yang said with a smile.
When Young Master Swain saw it was Evan Yang, his eyes widened. He tried to shout, but couldn’t make a sound.
Seeing his expression, Evan Yang laughed again. "Don’t shout, or else—you know what’ll happen." With that, he released the seal so Young Master Swain could speak.
"What do you want!" Young Master Swain hadn’t expected Evan Yang to survive, let alone return, and now his strength was far beyond his previous early-stage level.
"Who was it that wanted to kill me?" Evan Yang’s smile faded as he asked coldly.
"The Nether Patriarch," Young Master Swain replied gloomily.
"The Nether Patriarch? Where is he?" Evan Yang pressed, hearing it was a clan leader.
Young Master Swain told Evan Yang where the Nether Patriarch was, then pleaded, "Let me go."
"I’ll let you go, but someone else won’t." Evan Yang said with a smile.
"Who?" Young Master Swain exclaimed in shock.
"Of course it’s Derek. You all killed his parents—he’ll never let you off. So, to make sure you die by his hand, I won’t kill you now. Someday, he’ll come for revenge." Evan Yang said with a smile.
Young Master Swain was shocked, but still pleaded, "Let me go, I really didn’t mean it."
"In a few days, you’ll be free. But don’t think this means you’re off the hook—just wait, he’ll come for you." Evan Yang said with a smile. He didn’t kill Young Master Swain, but instead left a seal that would unlock itself after a few days.
Just as Young Master Swain was about to beg again, Evan Yang had already disappeared.
"If you don’t kill me today, you’ll regret it. And that brat—he’s coming for me? Absurd, I could crush him with a finger." Young Master Swain secretly laughed to himself after Evan Yang left him alive, but also prayed Evan wasn’t lying. If he had to keep living this way, he’d almost rather be dead.
Evan Yang left the Swain Family, heading for the Nether Family.
