Just then, a door nearby swung open and a young nurse came out, pushing a medical cart. Spotting the two tangled up in the corridor, she was first stunned, then coughed twice to get their attention. Shawn Young and Maggie Chang snapped out of their passionate daze, quickly stopping what they were doing. Shawn looked embarrassed, while Maggie's pretty face was flushed red as soup. She covered her cheeks with both hands, her heart pounding like crazy. She couldn't believe how 'wild' she'd just acted.
But the young nurse just glanced at them knowingly and said, "Uh—guys, this is a public area in the hospital. Sure, it's late and there aren't many people around, but if you want to enjoy some passion, you should think about the impact, okay? If you really want to do it—go home! Physical needs, I get it—"
"Uh—I, I'm just going to the bathroom—" Maggie Chang was even more embarrassed by the nurse's words. She hurriedly made an excuse and rushed off to the restroom, leaving Shawn Young standing there awkwardly.
"Heh—actually, sneaking off to the bathroom at this hour, nobody's gonna know! Uh—just pretend I never said anything, you two carry on!" The young nurse gave Shawn Young a mischievous look, eyeing the tent in his pants, then smirked and pushed her cart away.
"Damn, isn't she basically tempting me to commit a crime!" Shawn Young muttered once the nurse left, but his mind was already wandering. After all, her 'suggestion' did seem pretty doable.
Just as Shawn Young was lost in thought, his phone suddenly rang in his pocket. He took it out and saw it was Jade Swann calling. He quickly answered, and Jade's crisp, sweet voice came through: "Shawn, I know you're at the hospital. We need to talk!"
"Huh? Jade, how did you know I was at the hospital?" Shawn Young asked curiously.
"Oh, Sherry Shawn used satellite tracking on your phone signal, so it was pretty easy to find you!" Jade Swann replied with a laugh.
"Ugh—Sherry Shawn again—" Shawn Young pictured the quirky, drop-dead gorgeous, high-IQ cutie in his mind, and felt an itch in his heart.
"Come out, I'll be there soon!" Jade Swann said.
"Oh—wait for me, I'll be ready in a sec!" Shawn Young saw Maggie Chang coming out from inside and quickly spoke to Jade Swann.
"Okay, hurry up—I’ve got a sweet surprise for you!" Jade Swann giggled and hung up.
Shawn Young put away his phone and said to Maggie Chang, who was walking over, "Miss Chang, I—I—"
"Ugh—don’t call me Miss Chang, that sounds awful! Call me Maggie!" Maggie Chang gave him a playful glare.
"Maggie, I’ve got something urgent to take care of—I just wanted to let you know first." Shawn Young said hurriedly.
"Oh, if you’ve got things to do, go ahead! I’ll be fine here. Just remember to find me when you’re done, okay? I still have some things I want to ask you." Maggie Chang smiled.
"Yeah, yeah—I will. See you later—" Shawn Young said, then turned and walked out of the hospital.
Outside the main entrance, Helen and Mai Kanda were waiting. Both women wore elegant evening gowns, which made it inconvenient to enter the hospital, so they waited outside instead. As soon as Shawn Young stepped out, the two walked over. Helen asked with concern, "How’s Miss Chang’s mother doing?"
"Oh—there’s no major problem for now—" Shawn Young replied.
As they were talking, a black Hongqi sedan slowly pulled up outside and stopped at the hospital entrance. The window rolled down, revealing an absolutely stunning face—Jade Swann. She blinked her beautiful big eyes at Shawn Young, saying everything without words. Shawn instantly got excited: "Whoa! Jade, how did you get here so fast?"
"Hehe, I’m an expert driver, so of course I’m quick. Get in the car already!" Jade Swann said sweetly.
"Uh—but I’ve got two friends with me!" Shawn Young said, a bit troubled.
"Oh, I know them—one’s a former SBS special agent, the other’s your new Japanese cutie sidekick!" Jade Swann replied quickly.
"Huh? Jade, how do you know all this?" Shawn Young was shocked.
"Oh, you think our country’s Paranormal Military Division is just for show? Regular cops can’t trace their entry, but National Security and our team have ways! You guys made a big scene here, and the higher-ups are watching! Uh—let’s not get into that now, just get in the car!" Jade Swann said.
Shawn Young paused, realizing his movements these past few days had already caught the Paranormal Division’s attention. He couldn’t help but marvel—this division really was a national weapon, their rapid response was impressive!
He turned back to Helen and Mai Kanda, apologetic: "Uh—Miss Helen, Mai, I’ve got something to take care of. You two should head back to Phoenix Hotel first!"
Unexpectedly, Mai Kanda suddenly said, "Master—oh, Shawn-kun, I—I’m yours. I want to stay by your side and await your orders!"
"Uh—well—that’s not really convenient—" Shawn Young hadn’t expected Mai Kanda to be so serious.
"Oh—fine, Shawn, let her get in! We’ve got questions for her later anyway!" Jade Swann agreed cheerfully.
"Mr. Shawn, you go ahead—I’ll head back on my own! Just don’t forget what you promised me when you’re done!" Helen said, very tactfully.
"What did I promise you?" Shawn Young was momentarily confused.
"Oh come on, Mr. Shawn, you’re so forgetful! Now that you’ve got a date with a beauty, I won’t interrupt your fun. I’ll remind you about it later! I’m heading off—" Helen said with a playful laugh, then turned and walked to the parking lot.
"Hehe—Shawn, that SBS agent’s got an amazing body, curvy in all the right places. She’s really into you, too! Man—your harem just keeps growing!" Jade Swann said, watching Helen’s departing figure with a meaningful smile.
"Uh—well, can’t help it—let’s not talk about this now!" Shawn Young blushed, dodging the topic, then opened the car door and got in.
