Evan Yang said, "The Yang Family."
"The Yang Family? Which Yang Family?" Emperor Damien Darkmoon frowned.
"I don't know exactly, but it should be an ancient clan," Evan Yang replied.
Emperor Damien Darkmoon said, "No matter who they are, let's go first. Lead the way."
Yvonne Darkmoon was already impatient to find Terry Yang and settle the score.
Evan Yang led Emperor Damien Darkmoon and Yvonne Darkmoon toward the Yang Family's encampment. At the outskirts, several Yang Family members saw Yvonne return with a group, quickly gathered together for a discussion, and then stepped forward.
Seeing these people approach, Evan Yang grew suspicious. Were they not afraid of death, still acting tough at a time like this? Emperor Damien Darkmoon was also curious about their background. Yvonne Darkmoon angrily pointed at them, "They're the ones who grabbed me!"
"Emperor Damien Darkmoon, we didn't know she was your daughter. It's all our fault—punish us as you see fit!" one of them said, and the other three also stepped forward to admit guilt.
Evan Yang was secretly shocked. He hadn't expected these people to be Terry Yang's dead-soldiers, willing to admit fault and even shift all blame away from Terry Yang.
Emperor Damien Darkmoon was stunned at first, then snorted coldly. "You actually dared capture my daughter. I'll hand this matter to the eighth great power for judgment—and your family, the Yang Family, right?"
"Emperor Damien Darkmoon, this has nothing to do with our Yang Family. We acted on our own. If punishment is needed, punish us," said one of the four, and the other three chimed in as well.
Yvonne Darkmoon was not having it. She snorted coldly, "Dream on. I'm definitely going to catch that guy."
Of course, the four knew exactly who Yvonne Darkmoon meant, but they refused to admit it and took all the blame themselves.
Damien Darkmoon was shocked—what kind of clan could produce such loyal dead-soldiers? But his daughter was the apple of his eye; after seeing her bullied, there was no way he could just let it go. He snorted, "I want to meet your backers. Lead the way."
The four shook their heads, refusing to go no matter what.
Damien Darkmoon snorted, "I don't need you to lead the way!"
With that, he told Evan Yang to lead the way.
Evan Yang nodded and led Emperor Damien Darkmoon and Yvonne Darkmoon to where Terry Yang was.
After a while, the three, followed by four confused people, headed toward Terry Yang's location.
Late at night, in Terry Yang's residence, the servants and guards had returned and were now inside the house.
When Emperor Damien Darkmoon, Yang Han, and the others appeared, everyone became alert.
Terry Yang knew the jig was up, but he wasn't worried. He remained seated in the center of the room until Damien and his group entered, then stood up and said, "I wonder who this senior is?"
"Are you the Yang Family?" Damien Darkmoon scanned the room, noticing many strong cultivators.
Before Terry Yang could answer, Yvonne Darkmoon angrily shouted, "It's him! He's the one who kidnapped me and almost killed me!"
"I don't know you. I don't know what you're talking about," Terry Yang replied decisively.
Damien Darkmoon knew his daughter wouldn't joke about something like this, so he snorted, "If you do something, you must bear the responsibility. Do you think this is a place where you can act recklessly?"
"I already said I don't know what happened. What responsibility do you want me to bear?" Terry Yang said.
The four subordinates stepped forward to cooperate, quickly saying, "Lord Terry, it's all our fault. We caused this. Let us take the blame."
Terry Yang frowned. "What exactly happened?"
The four explained, each taking turns, but their story was simple: they acted on their own, grabbed someone, and then that person was rescued.
Terry Yang was furious after hearing their explanation. "How have I taught you? Didn't I tell you not to randomly grab people? Unbelievable!"
Evan Yang and Yvonne Darkmoon both felt Terry Yang was utterly shameless.
Damien Darkmoon kept a straight face, wanting to see what Terry Yang was up to. After scolding his men, Terry turned to Damien and said, "Senior, I really don't know anything about this. Now that I do, I won't tolerate it. If you want to kill or punish them, go ahead—take them away."
"You're lying! It was obviously you!" Yvonne Darkmoon shouted angrily.
Terry Yang frowned, "Miss, I've never seen you. I don't know what you're talking about."
"Never seen me? Mu Yi, tell me—did I see wrong?" Yvonne Darkmoon was furious.
Evan Yang replied, "No, you're right."
Terry Yang stared at Yang Han—he knew this guy was behind it, the one who took Yvonne away. Terry hated him deeply, but before Damien he put on a pitiful act. "Fellow Daoist, I don't know what grudge you have against me. Why are you targeting me? But, Senior, think about it: what's his relationship with your daughter, and why did he show up here? Is it possible he knew your daughter was kidnapped by me and tried to rescue her? I think there must be some misunderstandings here."
Damien Darkmoon knew Yang Han and Terry Yang had their own feud, and believed Yang Han somewhat, but he trusted his daughter even more. "I believe what my daughter says, so you'd better come with me."
"I don't like being taken away for no reason, especially when there's no evidence. If you really want to take me, you'll have to call my grandfather, Ming Yang," Terry Yang said.
Damien Darkmoon heard the name Ming Yang and his eyes widened in shock. "You're from the Yang Family of Ming Yang?"
"That's right," Terry Yang replied.
"Alright, I understand. I'll take these four, you don't mind, do you?" Damien immediately stopped pursuing the main issue and shifted focus to the four subordinates.
Yvonne Darkmoon was anxious—what was going on? She said to Damien, "Dad, what's wrong with you? Did you take the wrong medicine?"
"Don't talk back. I know what I'm doing," Damien said via sound transmission.
Yvonne Darkmoon had never been yelled at like this by Damien before, so she was extremely upset.
Terry Yang spoke up, "Senior, I know what those four intended. They just wanted your daughter to keep me company—it wasn't kidnapping."
"I'll deal with those few regarding my daughter. That has nothing to do with you," Damien said.
"Senior, that's not what I meant. I'm just saying I'm not young anymore and want to find a companion. They were thinking of me, and honestly, your daughter is quite cute. Why not turn a mistake into a blessing? On behalf of the Yang Family, I formally propose to your clan. Whatever you need, I'll tell my grandfather. What do you think, Senior?" Terry Yang smiled.
Damien Darkmoon was stunned, but quickly regained composure and smiled, "Such matters require my daughter's consent."
"What? You kidnapped me and now you want to propose? Dream on! I won't let you off!" Yvonne Darkmoon said angrily.
Terry Yang smiled. "Senior, I think we should let us young people handle this—especially matters of the heart. If you get involved, it won't help. As for these four, they meant well for me. Since that's the case, they aren't really guilty of anything."
Damien Darkmoon realized Terry Yang was protecting his four men and proposing peace through marriage. Even though they were at fault, they admitted their mistake. Damien wasn't stupid—if he kept pushing, the Yang Family might really get involved, which would be trouble. So he laughed heartily, "Alright, alright. In that case, I won't press further. But I hope my daughter won't be 'invited' here like that again."
"Absolutely not. This time was too abrupt—they didn't know she was your daughter. If they had, even with a hundred lives, they wouldn't have dared," Terry Yang replied with a smile.
Damien knew that if they had known she was his daughter and still acted this way, it would be chaos. Now, with their admission and the Yang Family's status, he knew he couldn't pursue it further—there was nothing to gain.
"That's good. We'll take our leave," Damien said with a smile, then dragged the furious Yvonne away.
But Yvonne Darkmoon cursed angrily, "Just you wait! I won't let you off so easily!"
Evan Yang followed behind, secretly shocked. What was the true background of the Yang Family? And who exactly was Ming Yang, that Damien would immediately back down at his name?
As for Terry Yang, Evan Yang realized just how shameless he was—able to twist any story to suit his needs.
"Thank you, Lord Terry, for earlier," the four said gratefully.
"Alright, this matter is settled for now. Don't bother the Darkmoon Clan anymore. But as for Ian Wood, you all know—catch him for me," Terry Yang said.
"What about the girl?" one of them asked curiously.
"If I hadn't used my grandfather's name to suppress Damien Darkmoon, would we still be standing here? So know when to stop. As for that girl, I'll handle her myself. Damien said not to use force, but I've got plenty of soft tactics. Isn't proposing marriage enough? Once I get his daughter and bring her to the Yang Family, I'll just toss her aside. Does Damien really think he can chase me into the Yang heartland?" Terry Yang said shamelessly.
"Lord Terry, you really have a way with things. When the time comes, help us vent our anger. That girl was so annoying, wouldn't let go no matter what," one of them said with a laugh.
"Don't worry. If I get her, I'll make her pay too. But until I've formally gotten her from Damien, don't provoke her. Got it?" Terry Yang said.
"Understood, Lord Terry," the four replied.
"Alright, get to work. Make sure you catch that guy," Terry Yang said.
"Yes," the four replied, then quickly left. Terry Yang returned to his cultivation room, gazed at his reflection in the mirror, and snorted, "Ian Wood, right? Just wait. I'll remember that slap you gave me. And you, little Darkmoon girl—today you escaped, but next time it won't be so easy!"
Damien Darkmoon pulled Yvonne along, refusing to let her go. He said to Evan Yang, "Alright, your task is complete. You can leave now."
