Emperor Damien Darkmoon

Evan Yang gripped his dagger, then wrapped it in a small flame. The woman saw this and exclaimed, "Hey, hey, don't get so close! Don't burn my face off!"

"Burn your face? That's a bit dramatic. I'm just speeding things up—otherwise, who knows how long it'll take to break this thing." Evan Yang said.

"Is this treasure really that strong? Do you think that demon will come after us?" the woman suddenly asked, recalling that some treasures are linked to their owners. If that's the case, would the owner come here now?

"Relax, I've already checked. This treasure loses its sensing ability once it goes beyond a certain range," Evan Yang replied.

"How do you know that?" the woman asked curiously.

Evan Yang smiled, "I've studied treasures quite a bit. So just stay still and watch how I break it open."

The woman waited, half believing, half doubting, and kept a close eye on Evan Yang, her gaze warning him not to peek at her chest.

After a while, Evan Yang focused on the rope. Only after half an hour did he finally solve it—a rope snapped, which Evan Yang picked up.

The woman regained her freedom, and her power surged back to Immortal Lord level. She started moving around.

Evan Yang sighed, "You should really hurry up and put your clothes on."

Evan Yang's words immediately provoked her. She hurriedly took out a spare set of clothes from her usual ring.

After putting on her clothes, Yvonne Darkmoon flashed in front of Evan Yang, extending a hand and signaling him to attack.

Evan Yang was startled, backing away as he looked at her. "Hey, hey, you're not planning to betray your savior and kill me, are you?"

"Of course! Who told you to peek at my body?" Yvonne snapped angrily.

"You call that peeking?" Evan Yang was speechless.

"Doesn't matter. You saw it, so you might as well die. Otherwise, every time I see you, I'll remember this!" Yvonne said furiously.

"Is this how you treat your benefactor? If I'd known, I wouldn't have risked my life to save you," Evan Yang said, feeling frustrated.

"You—" Yvonne was struck by his words and began to hesitate. Evan Yang continued, "If it weren't for me today, your situation would've been far worse than just being seen. You know exactly what he was about to do."

"Damn it, I'm going to kill him!" Yvonne, now furious again, redirected her anger toward Terry Yang.

"He's surrounded by experts. You can't even get close, let alone kill him," Evan Yang thought the girl's mood swings were wild—just a few words and she immediately wanted to go fight someone else.

"So what if he's got experts? I'm not afraid. I'll go find my father—then they'll all be miserable!" Yvonne huffed coldly.

Evan Yang remembered her mentioning she was the daughter of Emperor Damien Darkmoon from the eighth great power, so he asked curiously, "Are you really Emperor Damien Darkmoon's daughter?"

"Yeah, I am. So what?" Yvonne stared at Evan Yang.

"Nothing, just curious. Is your father, Emperor Damien Darkmoon, really able to act against those people?" Evan Yang asked.

"Of course! Do you know who my father is? Hmph, you wouldn't understand even if I explained. Let's go, you're coming back with me." Yvonne said angrily.

"Go back with you? Why? You're not planning to capture me, are you?" Evan Yang asked suspiciously.

"Am I that kind of person? I want you to come back so you can point out the culprits." Yvonne said, annoyed. She didn't know where Terry Yang lived, only Evan Yang did, since he brought her out from there.

Hearing this, Evan Yang nodded, "I see. But before we go, shouldn't you tell me your name?"

"I'm Yvonne Darkmoon," she said.

"Yvonne Darkmoon? Got it. Alright, I'll go with you," Evan Yang replied. Actually, he mainly wanted to meet Emperor Damien Darkmoon and see how he'd deal with the Yang Family. Now that his identity was exposed, sneaking in again would be difficult—they'd be on guard. Only by using the eighth great power as cover could he get close to the Yang Family and maybe find out what happened to Blaze Mountain.

"Me? Just call me Mu Yi," Evan Yang said. He worried his real name was too famous and Ethereal Sanctuary might know it, so he used an alias instead.

"Mu Yi? What a lame name," Yvonne Darkmoon mocked.

"Yours isn't much better," Evan Yang retorted.

"You! Whatever, I'm not arguing with you. I need to hurry back before the Yang Family escapes—that'd be a real headache," Yvonne Darkmoon said, glaring.

Evan Yang also worried that if the Yang Family really ran, his whole reason for coming would be ruined. So he replied, "Yeah."

With that, Yvonne Darkmoon led Evan Yang toward the central area.

"You live under the tower?" Evan Yang asked, watching Yvonne head that way. "It's not really under the tower—it's outside the tower's range. There are several castles there, and my Darkmoon family lives in one of them," she explained.

"I see," Evan Yang nodded.

The two continued on, but as they neared the area Yvonne mentioned, Evan Yang frowned. "Looks like we've got trouble."

"What?" Yvonne Darkmoon asked, confused.

"The Yang Family has already sent people nearby to look for you. Seems they don't want you going back," Evan Yang said.

"What? They've got guts. I'll just charge through—I don't believe they'll dare stop me!" Yvonne Darkmoon said angrily. "If they could kidnap you once, they could do it again. So forget it," Evan Yang replied.

Thinking of her earlier abduction, Yvonne shivered. "So what do we do? If I can't get in, I can't find my father."

"Don't you have a Transmission Stone for your father?" Evan Yang asked curiously. "My father is cultivating, especially these days. He doesn't want to be disturbed, so he turned off his Transmission Stone and told me not to leave the castle. But I wanted to go out for a stroll, and ended up in this mess," Yvonne Darkmoon said, frustrated.

"I see. Looks like I'll have to handle this myself," Evan Yang said.

"What are you going to do?" Yvonne Darkmoon asked, curious.

"Earth-escape," Evan Yang replied.

"Earth-escape? That only gets you outside, not inside," Yvonne Darkmoon immediately objected.

"Why not?" Evan Yang asked, puzzled.

"Within a certain range around the tower, earth-escape is impossible. That's always been the rule," Yvonne Darkmoon explained.

Evan Yang, hearing the tower restriction again, said, "Alright then, just enter my Space Ring and I'll take you through."

"You? Aren't you afraid they'll find out? You're the one who carried me away!" Yvonne Darkmoon asked suspiciously.

"Relax, I've got plenty of ways. Just get in," Evan Yang said, not mentioning his disguise ability.

Yvonne Darkmoon studied Evan Yang for a moment. With no better option, she let him store her in the ring.

Once she was inside the ring, Evan Yang changed his outfit and swaggered over. The guards glanced at him, saw he wasn't their target, and let him pass.

After Evan Yang entered the cluster of castles, he released Yvonne Darkmoon. Seeing the familiar castle, she was overjoyed. "How did you do that?"

"That's a secret," Evan Yang replied.

"Fine, whatever," Yvonne Darkmoon grumbled.

"Enough about that. Hurry and find your father, or the Yang Family might get away," Evan Yang urged.

Thinking about her awful experience, Yvonne Darkmoon just endured it and quickly led Evan Yang to a castle marked with the Darkmoon family emblem, guarded at the entrance.

Seeing Yvonne Darkmoon, the guards greeted respectfully, "Miss, you're back."

"Yeah. I'm looking for my father—is he done cultivating?" Yvonne Darkmoon asked.

"He just finished. He's on the second floor now," a guard replied. Yvonne nodded, "Alright."

She tried to bring Evan Yang inside, but the guards blocked him.

"Who is he?" a guard asked.

"He's my friend," Yvonne Darkmoon replied.

"Miss, you know the rules—even friends can't enter without Elder Damien's approval. I suggest he waits here while you go speak to the elder," the guard said.

Yvonne Darkmoon was annoyed, wanting to teach these stubborn guards a lesson. Evan Yang spoke up, "If you don't hurry, they'll get away. Go ahead, I'll wait."

Hearing Evan Yang, Yvonne Darkmoon grew anxious, left him behind, and rushed upstairs to the second floor.

On the second floor, a man in purple stood, lost in thought as he stared at his teacup.

"Dad, dad!" Yvonne Darkmoon ran up, calling out nonstop.

"This girl, what's got her so worked up today?" the man muttered. He was none other than Yvonne's father, Emperor Damien Darkmoon.

"Dad, I finally found you!" Yvonne Darkmoon said.

"What's wrong? Why are you in such a hurry?" Emperor Damien Darkmoon asked, puzzled.

"Dad, something big happened!" Yvonne Darkmoon said.

"Something big? I haven't gotten any notice—what happened exactly?" Emperor Damien Darkmoon was confused; he hadn't heard of anything major.

Yvonne quickly explained, "It's about me, not the Eighth Great Power," she said, frustrated.

"Oh? What happened to you this time? Why so anxious?" Emperor Damien Darkmoon asked curiously.

Angrily, Yvonne Darkmoon explained what happened. Emperor Damien Darkmoon was shocked and furious—his own daughter kidnapped right on his turf, nearly disgraced. It was humiliating, and he was livid.

Emperor Damien Darkmoon roared, "Whoever did this must have a death wish!"

"Dad, I'll take you to them right now," Yvonne Darkmoon said.

Fuming, Emperor Damien Darkmoon followed Yvonne downstairs. When she saw Evan Yang, she said, "Dad, he's the one who saved me."

Emperor Damien Darkmoon sized Evan Yang up and said, "Thank you for saving my daughter. If you need anything, just ask. Whatever I can grant, I'll give you."

Evan Yang was stunned and quickly explained, "Senior, it's a misunderstanding. I don't need anything—I just wanted to help."

"Help? Then why were you there?" Emperor Damien Darkmoon wasn't easily fooled. Hearing the whole story, he began to suspect Evan Yang.

Evan Yang hadn't expected the question, but he was ready. He smiled, "Senior, I happened to have a grudge with that family. You know how it is."

Hearing it was a personal vendetta, Emperor Damien Darkmoon nodded. "I see. So who exactly kidnapped my daughter?"
