Perhaps Able to Duel Master Lin

2/14/2026

"Have you been doing okay lately?"

Molly Su asked softly, her voice gentle and soothing.

This tone and manner, falling on Logan Rowe's ears, made him want to jump up right now and challenge Evan to a fight.

Frustration, unwillingness, anger.

Yet none of it really mattered.

"I'm fine. Nothing good or bad, really."

Evan replied calmly. Molly Su nodded, thinking that after all this time, Master Lin from Seacrest was still the same—looking uninterested in everything. She couldn't tell if that made her happy or a little melancholy.

To Molly, Evan was amazing—like nobody could beat him—but when it came to feelings, he was a bit of a straight guy, maybe even wooden.

But Molly didn't have much experience in this area either. People had pursued her before, but she barely glanced at other guys.

Ever since Evan cured her stubborn illness, and personally drove off the marriage-forcing Lin clan from Jinnan at her family's house, Molly had started to have feelings for him.

Back when she was still in Capitalview, Molly Su would lie in bed staring at the ceiling, wondering what Master Lin was doing, where he was, and why he never came to the Su family to hang out with her.

The more she thought, the more little resentments crept in; if she tried not to think, she ended up thinking even more.

No matter what, Evan's face—still a bit youthful, but giving off a huge sense of security—would pop up in her mind from time to time.

It was like every stroke of his brows, every outline, was etched into her mind, clear as day.

But she waited and waited, day after day, and Evan showed up at the Su family less and less. As for hanging out with her—well, that never happened, and it made Molly a little gloomy.

"Then take care of yourself from now on, too."

Molly spoke quietly but seriously, almost like a blessing.

Her words sounded like small talk, but there was something else behind them—a flavor that made Logan Rowe beside her feel a bit annoyed.

Logan was about to say something when suddenly his phone rang.

He took out his phone and glanced at the caller ID—it was Master Lin from Seacrest's number. His eyebrows shot up, and he gave Evan a sideways look, squinting.

"Hello."

"Yeah, I haven't left yet. I'm sitting somewhere downstairs."

"No need, don't come up yet. If you have something to say, just say it."

"That person showed up?"

Logan heard Master Lin from Seacrest say that the Teenage King of the Ring had appeared, and his tone held a hint of excitement.

He instinctively looked around, but couldn't pick out the possible figure of the Teenage King from the crowded stands.

"Alright, Molly and I will just wait here and watch you take the stage, haha."

"Oh, right, after your match tonight, I might need your help with something else."

"Okay, that's it for now. Hanging up."

The call ended.

On the other side, Master Lin from Seacrest let a faint smile creep onto his lips.

He put away his phone, clasped his hands behind his back, and stood there surveying the entire Illustrious Gate Arena, his presence overwhelming.

"Are you sure you'll be able to spot him in the crowd later?"

Master Lin from Seacrest asked coolly, his tone leaving no room for doubt.

Ray Lei quickly nodded. "I can, I promise! I've been watching the whole time!"

"Good."

Master Lin nodded. "If you do well, and you have the aptitude, maybe I'll pass on a few techniques to you in the future."

"Thank you, Master Lin!"

Hearing this, Ray Lei was overjoyed.

The others sitting nearby—like Barry Shen—were even more envious. All these second-generation heirs looked at Ray with newfound eagerness to befriend him.

None of them bothered to wonder who Master Lin from Seacrest had just called.

"This is seriously a huge win—we get to see Master Lin from Seacrest make a move in person!"

Leon Lu rubbed his hands together, face full of excitement. "Too bad we couldn't bring Warren Wu over."

"His skills are kind of mediocre, hasn't really improved much, but watching top-level fights is definitely good for him!"

Leon clicked his tongue in amazement. Ever since Warren joined the Tiger Special Forces Reserve, he rarely hung out with their group anymore.

Nowadays, most of Wu Shilan's time is spent in Puhai. If nothing changes, the Wu family's third generation will be trained up as Warren Wu.

Leon didn't mention Allen Ju this time—he knew Allen was never interested in these kinds of brawls.

"Hey, Gloria, maybe call Warren and see if he can make it over?"

Leon glanced at Gloria, but before he finished, his eyebrows shot up. "What's wrong with you? You look a bit off—feeling sick? Want to go see a doctor?"

As Leon asked, the others finally noticed Gloria's face had gone a little pale—she looked odd, almost like she was sick.

"I'm fine."

Gloria shook her head, trying several times to stand up and make a call, but Ray Lei kept watching her closely.

With Master Lin from Seacrest standing beside him, Ray Lei wasn't afraid of Gloria for now. But he still had to keep her from warning Evan, just in case Evan slipped away.

"If you're really not feeling well, don't push yourself. No matter what, health comes first."

Leon frowned, and Barry Shen also looked concerned, nodding repeatedly. "Yeah, if you want, Gloria, I can call 120 for you?"

"I'm fine."

Gloria shook her head, looked at Leon, hesitated, then asked, "Do you remember that guy we met on Tidewatch Island, Allen's friend?"

"His friend?"

Leon thought for a second. "You mean the kid who beat that Shen Kunpeng guy?"

"What's up with him?"

Leon looked puzzled and curious, not understanding.

That day, Evan had kind of made Leon lose face, but overall he helped their group save face.

Otherwise, Leon and the others probably would have been totally crushed.

Leon felt a bit grateful to that guy, but also wanted to test himself against him someday.

"Who do you think is stronger, him or Master Lin from Seacrest?"

Gloria suddenly asked, her face deadly serious.

As soon as she spoke, Master Lin from Seacrest—standing there with his hands behind his back—didn't turn around, but his aura instantly tightened. The whole space seemed to freeze.

It felt like a blade swept right past their faces.

Ray Lei looked baffled, not understanding who Gloria meant.

Barry Shen and the others went pale, and even Leon's expression shifted wildly at Gloria's sudden question.

He fell silent, thinking deeply.

"He's really strong."

"But there's no way he could be a match for Master Lin from Seacrest, who killed a Pointing-to-Mystery expert."

"If I had to say, maybe give him ten years, or twenty."

"By then, maybe he could go toe-to-toe with Master Lin."
