Taking the Stage

2/14/2026

Leon Lu's words left many people around him utterly confused.

But even more people showed genuine surprise.

Not everyone gets the chance to step into the Pointing-to-Mystery Realm, and Leon's assessment is honestly not low at all.

Listening to Leon, Gloria Rong nodded, then sighed softly.

Shen Yuanbao and the others nearby wanted to ask who they were talking about, but when the words reached their lips, they swallowed them instead.

Now, everyone turned to look at Master Lin standing over there. He was easily the strongest presence tonight.

Ray Lei stood beside Master Lin, paying no mind to Gloria's earlier words. His gaze was locked on Evan Lin, terrified that Evan might slip away.

"Molly, tonight's going to be lively,"

Logan Rowe put away his phone, grinning as he glanced at Molly Su and deliberately raised his voice: "Master Lin just called me. He said he's taking the stage tonight."

"That means all our days waiting here haven't been for nothing."

After Logan finished speaking, Molly Su paused, still pondering what 'taking the stage' meant, wondering if it had anything to do with Evan Lin beside her. But Logan was already staring straight at Evan.

"Bro, do you know who's the hottest name at Illustrious Gate lately? Master Lin?"

He spoke boldly, his voice especially clear.

The others sitting nearby heard this and immediately turned their heads to look over.

"Who doesn't know? Master Lin from Seacrest! He’s the mentor of Dylan Hu, who dominated the ring before!"

Evan Lin didn't even answer; someone nearby beat him to it.

These people had also noticed Molly Su earlier, so their eyes kept drifting her way, but none dared approach her.

Now, with a chance to speak up, each tried harder than the last, all eager to catch Molly's attention.

"Just a bunch of small fry,"

Evan Lin shook his head, his tone flat.

The moment he said that, all the Master Lin fanboys instantly looked shocked.

"That's not right, kid! Master Lin from Seacrest is a long-famous expert! His skills are way beyond what a little guy like you could ever understand!" barked a middle-aged man with a weathered face.

"Exactly! Do you even know who Master Lin from Seacrest is? You're only brave enough to talk big here. Just wait till he shows up and stands in front of you—I bet you'll be scared out of your wits!" another man scoffed, clearly unimpressed.

"Let me give you some advice: don't brag just to impress a girl. If Master Lin hears you, your life will be ruined!"

A whole row of people behind him wore mocking expressions.

Hearing all this made Logan feel pretty smug, but when he saw Evan's totally unconcerned face, he got annoyed again.

"Master Lin may not be some infamous, terrifying legend, but he's still an old friend of mine. Kid, if you talk like that, I bet he'll be pissed off."

Logan lowered his voice, staring at Evan: "Besides, rumor has it that Master Lin from Seacrest already reached the Pointing-to-Mystery Realm."

"Do you even know what Pointing-to-Mystery means?"

"That's the realm above Vajra. Anyone who steps into Pointing-to-Mystery has powers no normal person can match. A master at that level wouldn't fear dozens of Vajra experts."

He paused, a mocking look on his face. "Oh, right."

"Don't tell me you don't even know what Vajra is?"

Logan smirked, shifting comfortably in his seat.

His earlier speech made more people glance at Logan, thinking maybe they could use him to connect with Master Lin from Seacrest.

As for Evan Lin sitting there, he'd already become a joke in everyone's eyes.

Molly Su looked at Logan, silent for a moment. "Actually, he's also Master Lin from Seacrest."

Molly spoke softly.

"What kind of Master Lin from Seacrest is this kid supposed to be?"

"I’d say he’s more like Seacrest Lin kid!"

"Ha, is he just slapping the title on himself because his surname is Lin?"

A few guys laughed at Evan, annoyed that Molly spoke up for him.

"Molly, the title of Master Lin isn’t something just anyone can claim."

Logan chuckled. "Besides, how could your friend compare to the real Master Lin from Seacrest?"

"That guy over there is the Pointing-to-Mystery Master Lin from Seacrest!"

Logan spoke with absolute certainty, squinting at Evan. "Master Lin, aren’t you going to say something now?"

"Or do you want to prove yourself by fighting the real Master Lin from Seacrest? How about a match to see who’s stronger?"

"But let me warn you ahead of time, that Master Lin has a bad temper. Even if I plead for you, if he really fights, he might spare your life, but at best you’ll end up with all four limbs broken."

"This mess isn’t as simple as you think. Do you have the guts and interest to try?"

Logan’s face turned cold, his whole aura violent, no longer hiding his hostility toward Evan.

Ever since Evan showed up, Molly’s attitude toward him made Logan feel seriously threatened.

"That's actually a pretty good idea."

To everyone's surprise, the boy sitting there wasn't scared by Logan's words—he just nodded calmly, acting totally unfazed.

Logan frowned. "You think I'm joking with you?"

"Believe it or not, I can call Master Lin from Seacrest down here with just one phone call!"

Logan roared, clearly agitated, feeling like the boy was looking down on him, doubting he could actually get Master Lin to show up.

But unexpectedly—

Just as Logan finished, before anyone could react—

At the distant Illustrious Gate ring, the host, just having received the news, dashed to the center of the stage in a wild rush.

Whoosh!

All the spotlights went out.

The whole place instantly plunged into darkness.

As everyone murmured in confusion and surprise, the host's excited voice rang out.

"Just got the news!"

"Tonight, Master Lin from Seacrest—"

"Will take the stage to battle the Teenage King of the Ring!"

"Now, let's give a warm round of applause for Illustrious Gate's current strongest!"

"Seacrest!"

"Master Lin!"
