"Oh? Is that so?" Ethan Yin chuckled softly.
His mischievous smile was simply irresistibly charming.
When he wasn't smiling, he looked cold and aloof.
But once he flashed that mischievous grin, he became devilishly attractive.
Cherry Miller braced herself and continued, "Now that I'm living in the same dormitory as Miss Nora and the two young masters, it's already easy for people to gossip. If I don't do my job properly, it won't just hurt Miss Nora and the young masters, but also damage the reputation of the Yin family. Our family has benefited from the Yin family for so many years. Out of gratitude, shouldn't we keep our distance?"
Cherry Miller slowly took a step back, retreating from Ethan Yin's personal space.
Ethan Yin slowly withdrew his hand, scratched his head, and said, "Alright, I guess I never thought of it that way. As long as you don't hate me, it's fine."
"Young master, you really know how to joke. I wouldn't dare," Cherry replied formally. "If there's nothing else, I'll take my leave."
"Oh, there's something!" Ethan Yin, never one to play by the rules, said directly, "Um... could you make me a cup of coffee? There's a coffee machine in the kitchen, and I only drink my usual beans. Can you help me out?"
Cherry Miller almost choked at his request. Hearing Ethan Yin say that, she couldn't refuse, so she nodded and said, "Yes, I'll go right away."
Cherry Miller turned and went straight to Ethan Yin's kitchen, starting to grind the coffee beans.
Watching Cherry Miller's back, Ethan Yin stroked his chin, deep in thought. "What an interesting girl!"
While Ethan Yin was clearly intrigued by Cherry Miller, Nora Yin was busy ambushing Miles Gu.
Nora had planned to return to the dorm for a shower, but when she passed by the tennis court, she spotted Miles hitting balls alone.
Suddenly, Nora felt the urge to mess with Miles a little.
She snuck in, grabbed a tennis ball, and hurled it straight at Miles's back.
Nora had been training physically since she was a kid, so she was stronger than most guys.
If that ball hit him, he'd probably be sore for half a day.
Nora just wanted to see how Miles would react—was he really that unbeatable?
So when she threw it, she didn't hold back at all—the tennis ball whooshed through the air with a sharp sound.
At the moment Miles Gu heard movement behind him, his body shifted slightly, his left hand shot up—smack! He caught it perfectly!
With a swift backhand, he flung it hard in the direction it came from.
Nora hadn't expected Miles's reflexes to be that fast. By the time she reacted, the tennis ball was already coming her way.
It was too late for Nora to dodge, so she instinctively did a dramatic backbend, watching as the tennis ball whooshed past the tip of her nose!
Smack!
The tennis ball slammed into the wall, bouncing and thudding all over.
Damn!
That was powerful!
Good thing I dodged!
Otherwise my front teeth would've been gone!
Miles Gu turned around, looking for whoever tried to sneak attack him, and immediately spotted Nora Yin scrambling up from the ground.
"Nora?" Miles couldn't help but laugh. "Were you trying to ambush me?"
"Hmph! I just wanted to test if you're qualified to be my training coach," Nora replied shamelessly. "Looks like you're barely passing."
Miles Gu walked over and tossed the tennis racket to Nora Yin. "Wanna play a round?"
"Sure, who's afraid of who!" Nora said, taking the racket and heading to one side of the court, ready to serve.
"Let's make a deal—whoever loses has to grant the winner one request," Miles said, his red eyes full of laughter and mischief. "Dare to bet?"
"Fine! Whoever chickens out is a little puppy!" Nora retorted. "Miles, you'd better get ready to accept my conditions!"
Miles Gu tried not to laugh. "Alright, just make sure you beat me fair and square!"
"Watch me!" Nora tossed up the ball and served.
Miles instantly countered.
