The Battle Ignites

With a thunderous crash, the thick roof of the subway tunnel suddenly collapsed. Fierce winds and torrential rain roared into the tunnel. Six-colored light descended from above, and the small-sized giant—now shrunk to about two and a half meters tall—came down with a tsunami-like pressure, looking down at Jill Young from high above.

"The power of the Divine is beyond your imagination."

Her face was calm, but inside she was feeling lucky.

She was genuinely flustered just now, but in the midst of her burning anger, the higher energies responded to her will, showing off even more extraordinary abilities.

As her body evolved, all her powers rose with the tide. Endless storm energy was absorbed and transformed. The original Orange Magic Eye made her vision incredible—seeing in the dark as if it were broad daylight, seeing the horizon as if it were right in front of her. Now, her eyes shone with bright orange light, her sight even sharper. Besides ordinary clairvoyance, she’d even developed X-ray vision.

Steel and concrete turned transparent—though she couldn’t see through the thick crust of the earth, any man-made building in New York City was an open book to her.

Staring at Jill Young below, the Divine’s expression grew even more aloof and arrogant: "Come on, let’s fight to the death."

Jill Young snorted, then turned and walked away. With another earth-shaking boom, she stomped the ground and dashed at top speed back down the subway tunnel.

She still had a TV show running in her head, plus she was on the enemy’s home turf. Who knew what tricks this guy had up his sleeve? If I don’t run for my life now, I must be nuts!

"Hmph, scurrying little mouse."

He didn’t rush after her—first, he pumped even more energy into his magic eye. The Divine dug deeper into his own potential, certain that his nearly perfect body wouldn’t let him down.

Sure enough, the six-colored halo responded to his will again. Thick cords of muscle bulged around his eyes, orange energy surging through them into the magic eye. The Divine felt a stabbing pain, like something was about to burst out. He squeezed his eyes shut in agony, and when the pain eased, he opened them to a world that had flipped upside down once more.

This time, it wasn’t just X-ray vision—he could see Life Fields and Energy Fields as crisp visuals. The Divine glanced around: every Life Field and Energy Field in New York City was crystal clear. No need to spot Fated Marks; any Chosen One’s life glow above ordinary mortals was laid bare to him.

It really was a god-like perspective. The Divine felt himself constantly brushing up against that ultimate realm.

He looked ahead—no one else in New York City had a Life Field as blindingly obvious as that woman.

So vivid—how could he possibly lose track of her?

"Today, I’ll make sure you admit defeat—with no complaints!"

Feeling like a cat toying with a mouse, absolutely sure of victory, The Divine didn’t bother with long-range attacks. He took a deep breath, pale lightning crackling around him, then shot down the subway tunnel as a bolt of Azure Lightning.

"Run run run run run!"

With explosions echoing behind her, Jill Young dashed through the subway tunnel. If her stealth had just been busted, it meant her enemy had some serious detection skills. Thinking about Jack’s powers, Jill gritted her teeth. No way to hide now—her mind replayed TV dramas on a loop, so what was there to say? Time to sprint for her life!
