Celestial Robe

"Didn't you want me to be your disciple? Learn to fly first!" Evan Xiao landed lightly on the surface of the water, a playful smile on his lips, his robes fluttering gracefully, looking impossibly handsome.

Grace silently watched him for a moment, then climbed up onto the shore herself and said, "I'm heading back. Would you mind taking me home again?"

Evan Xiao glanced at her body, the wet clothes outlining her curves. He nodded, his expression calm and gentle, walked over, took her hand, and led her away from the Celestial Pool.

Grace thought he would take her back to the thatched hut.

But she soon realized, they weren’t headed for the hut at all.

Instead, they arrived at a huge bedroom.

The room was dark and elegant, the furnishings simple yet refined—definitely Evan Xiao’s style.

This was definitely his bedroom.

Grace instantly grew wary and looked at him. "What are you planning?"

"What do you think?" Evan Xiao replied.

"Let me tell you, I haven’t reached full mastery yet. You have to save the third time for me! You must! Otherwise... I’ll never become immortal!"

"What are you thinking? I just brought you here to change your clothes."

Grace: "Ah..."

Evan Xiao suddenly smiled and called out, "Rosalind."

Rosalind pushed open the door and walked in. Seeing Grace dripping wet, she was clearly surprised, but quickly recovered and asked gently with a smile, "Your Highness, what can I do for you?"

"Bring some clothes."

Rosalind said, "There aren’t any spare women’s clothes in Radiant Dawn Palace. If Miss Grace doesn’t mind, perhaps she could wear mine?"

"Go get a new set from Vivian Xiao," Evan Xiao said. "She has enough new clothes to last a hundred years."

Rosalind’s expression flickered, but she quickly hid it and said, "Yes! Please wait a moment."

Soon, she returned with two beautiful outfits and handed them to Grace.

"Thank you," Grace replied.

"Miss, please come with me!" Rosalind said. "I'll take you to change clothes."

Grace was about to follow her, but unexpectedly, Evan Xiao said, "Rosalind, you may leave now. We don’t need any help here."

Rosalind lowered her head and answered, "Yes."

She turned and left, quietly closing the door behind her.

Grace held the clothes and said, "Actually, I have a change of clothes in the hut. The Dragon Steward Chief gave them to me."

"Those are Dragon Steward clothes."

"Well, I am a Dragon Steward right now!"

"Are you complaining that I haven’t given you a proper title?"

"No, no," Grace shook her head. "Definitely not."

"Then put it on! Wear Vivian Xiao’s for now, and tomorrow, I’ll have someone make one just for you."

"What exactly are you up to? Don’t tell me... you want to make me your Consort again?" Grace frowned.

"I can tell you don’t want to be my Consort," Evan Xiao said.

Grace bit her lip.

"You want to be my Princess," Evan Xiao added.

"Ha!" Grace gave an awkward laugh.

"Change out of those wet clothes first," Evan Xiao said. "This Celestial Robe is woven from Celestial Silkworm silk and imbued with spiritual energy. Not only is it comfortable, but it also boosts your defenses."

"Really?" Grace’s curiosity was piqued. She touched the fabric, finding it as soft as a cloud. "Let me try it on..."

"I’ll step out. Call me when you’re done," Evan Xiao said.

So Grace changed out of her wet clothes and put on the Celestial Robe.

"A Celestial Robe really is a Celestial Robe—so beautiful and comfortable!" Grace spun in front of the mirror.

"Not bad. Looks great," Evan Xiao suddenly appeared.

Grace was mid-spin and almost tripped from the shock. "Why did you just pop up like that? Didn’t you say to wait until I called you?"
