Celestial Robe Part Two

"I heard your voice," Evan Xiao said.

Actually, he hadn't left at all just now—he was simply invisible.

"Thank you for giving me such a beautiful and comfortable robe," Grace said with a smile. "Now, Your Highness, could you please escort me back?"

"It's already late. Just spend the night here!"

"Huh? No way!" Grace shook her head vigorously. "Absolutely not! Please send me back right now."

"Relax. The third time is reserved for when you reach full mastery," Evan Xiao said, half-smiling.

"Really?" Grace's eyes lit up.

Evan Xiao nodded.

"Then... where am I supposed to sleep?" She glanced back at the bed.

Just then, Evan Xiao—who had been holding back for a while—reached out and grabbed her arm.

Grace's vision went dark, and the next thing she knew, she was pinned to the bed.

His lips crashed down, ravaging hers with wild abandon. Grace felt like he was a ravenous beast, ready to devour her whole...

"Mmm... Where did my clothes go?" Grace whimpered, her voice trembling between tears and laughter.

"By your pillow."

...

That night, Grace learned something new.

The Celestial Robe had its own magic—it could withstand celestial spells and could be made to disappear at any time...

She also learned to be wary that night: all that talk about official wives and consorts? Turns out, he never cared about those titles—he was just totally, hopelessly, lust-crazed!

He held her naked in his arms all night, his hands roaming everywhere—she barely got any sleep at all.

She swore she would never let him escort her anywhere ever again!

If he lost control and let that 'third time' slip, who would she even complain to?

Of course, the safest bet was to hurry up and reach full mastery.

But...

Grace stared at the Ninefold Serenity Pill recipe, sinking into deep worry.

The main ingredient for the Ninefold Serenity Pill was called the Boros Fruit.

It said the Boros Fruit blooms after three hundred years, bears fruit after another three hundred, and matures after yet another three hundred.

In other words, planting a Boros Fruit means waiting nine hundred years before you can actually eat it.

To make the Ninefold Serenity Pill, you need fresh Boros Fruit.

Because it requires fresh Boros Fruit, even the Divine Apothecary Master's storeroom didn't have any.

But there were some growing behind the little grove in her sanctum.

About five hundred years ago, when the Divine Apothecary Master Luke Kee was still alive, he planted them himself.

But all of them are still in the flowering stage—there are still several hundred years to go before the Boros Fruit matures!

During her recent herb-hunting trips with Grandpa Gene the High Saint, she also spotted Boros Fruit in Drake Abyss.

The best tree even had fruit hanging from its branches.

But it would take at least another two hundred years for it to ripen.

So every time she thought about it, she got a little anxious.

"Grace! Grace!" Suddenly, Grandpa Gene the High Saint was calling her.

Grace left her sanctum and stepped outside, just in time to see Grandpa Gene the High Saint arrive with a big grin.

"Grandpa Gene, what can I do for you?" Grace asked.

"Didn't you say you wanted to visit Elderworld to see Luke Kee and his friends?" Grandpa Gene asked. "Well, I'm heading there now and managed to get an Empress Pass from the Celestial Empress. Come with me!"

"Okay! Sure!" Grace nodded eagerly. "When are we leaving?"

"Right now."

"Rona Yin!"

"Yes!" Rona Yin ran over from the next room.

"I'm heading out with Grandpa Gene the High Saint. Go tell Leon Zane to check on the Celestial Empress every night. Make sure nothing goes wrong."

"Okay! Don't worry! I'll go find him right away."

"Mm!" Grace nodded, then left with Grandpa Gene the High Saint for a sealed barrier behind the Celestial Palace.
