Another Nosebleed Again

Then I set up a formation here—no one, not even beasts, can find this place.

"Where is he?"

"He's in the valley," Louis Lin replied. "There's a rope over there—just climb down."

"I'm going down there alone?"

"Yes! I'll stay outside and watch the horses. Just come out when you're done talking."

Grace hesitated a little, then followed the long rope down.

The valley turned out to be an unexpectedly wonderful place.

Larks sang sweetly in the trees, their melodies enchanting.

The grass was as soft as a green carpet underfoot, springy and comfortable.

Sunlight filtered through the trees, bringing a warm and humid feeling to the air.

"Evan Xiao?" Grace called out.

"Yeah." His voice came from afar.

Her medicine really smelled awful. Grace was prepared—she stuffed two pieces of cloth up her nose and walked over cheerfully.

Then she saw an incredibly beautiful lake.

Lush green grass, strange and exotic flowers everywhere, dappled shadows from the trees, and water so clear it was almost magical...

Evan Xiao was soaking lazily in the lake, bare-chested, leaning against a jade-like stone wall, watching her.

His wet hair clung to his body, his face was impossibly handsome, his figure long and lean, those faintly visible abs... All of it crashed into Grace's line of sight without warning.

Seriously... this is dangerous!

Grace felt her nose getting hot and yanked out the cloth.

There was blood... on the cloth.

She had another nosebleed...

She quickly turned away, wiped her nose, and said with her back to him, "Weren't we supposed to be hunting? Why are you taking a bath here?"

"Thanks to you, of course. I had to wash off the smell," Evan Xiao said.

"Oh..." She pretended to look around. "This place really is nice—lots of spiritual energy, and the water's great."

"It's a hot spring. Want to join me?"

"Huh?" Grace shook her head quickly. "No, no! You enjoy it yourself! Actually, I came to find you because I needed—ah!"

Just as she was about to get to the point, her body suddenly flew backward uncontrollably!

Then—splash!—she landed in the water.

A warm body pressed against her, pinning her to the slanted stone wall.

"Hey, what are you... what are you doing?" Grace cried out in a panic.

"This water really is nice," Evan Xiao said. "Smell me—do I still have that scent on me?"

He brought his lips close to her nose.

His breath washed over her...

No... you can't do this...

Grace felt the blood rush to her head, and embarrassingly, she had another nosebleed.

Evan Xiao clearly hadn't expected her to start bleeding again. He froze, then reached out to wipe the blood away. "You really have a lot of energy! Another nosebleed."

"I... I'm just overheated again..."

"Then you need to cool off!"

"Yeah... I should take my medicine..."

Evan Xiao frowned seriously. "With a problem like yours, I'm afraid medicine won't help."

"Huh? Why?" Grace was pinned under him, her mind turning to mush.

"You... you want to sleep with me again," Evan Xiao said to her.

"...No, that's not... I..."

"Don't worry, I'm already yours. You can sleep with me anytime." Evan Xiao's mischievous smile flashed in his eyes. "Come on! No one's going to come here."

Grace wasn't stupid; she knew he was teasing her.

But, tragically... looking at Evan Xiao, with his wet, midnight-black hair draped over his neck, perfect face dotted with water, and those sexy, damp lips—she actually... really wanted to kiss him. What was she supposed to do?

Grace really did think she needed her medicine...
