Eternal Night Arrives

1/4/2026

"No need for panic, Divine Lord." Lord Noctis strode toward them. "Last time I said I'd slaughter the Divine City, but that was just talk—how could I really do that? I'm here today to deliver a wedding gift!"

Everyone looked at each other, unsure whether he was serious or just bluffing.

The etiquette officer was quick-witted and stepped forward to bow. "If Lord Noctis wishes to present a gift, please come with me."

Nobody really believed he was here just to give a gift.

But Lord Noctis actually followed the etiquette officer over and registered a very expensive Celestial Relic.

After registering the gift, Noctis walked over to the bride’s side of the hall, heading for the seats reserved for her friends and family.

But there weren’t any empty seats over there, so he naturally scooped up Mia Quinn’s little brother and sat down in the kid’s spot, holding him in his arms.

Mia’s little brother was already busy munching on his fifth piece of fruit.

Suddenly picked up, he froze for a moment and turned to stare blankly at Noctis.

After a while, he just shrugged it off and went right back to gnawing his fruit.

He actually seemed to be enjoying himself.

Meanwhile, the little boy’s Divine Father looked over at High God Felicity Quinn with a terrified expression.

But Felicity Quinn just shook her head, signaling him not to panic, and focused all her attention on keeping an eye on Noctis.

The auspicious hour arrived, and the newlyweds began the ceremony.

Lord Noctis didn’t move at all—in fact, he even grabbed a piece of fruit and started eating, looking totally relaxed, like he was just hanging out at home.

Of course, he was relaxed—the rest of the hall definitely wasn’t.

The whole atmosphere was pretty awkward.

"First bow to Heaven and Earth!" The couple bowed.

"Second bow to the parents!" Both bowed to their elders.

Just then, Noctis suddenly spoke up: "The Leshan Clan Chief’s mother is still alive—so why isn’t she here, even for her son’s wedding?"

Everyone turned to look at him.

"Divine Lord," High God Felicity Quinn said, "Leshan Clan Chief’s mother isn’t able to come. Can we talk about this after the ceremony?"

"Is it that she’s unable to come, or just too afraid?" Noctis stood up and walked right over to the couple in the middle of their ceremony.

Noctis was also dressed in red Divine Robes today. As he walked over, everyone couldn’t help but compare the two men.

And as soon as Lord Noctis appeared, Liam Leshan suddenly seemed to lose his shine.

It wasn’t that he lost out in looks—it was just that Noctis’s aura of total dominance made everyone else seem irrelevant.

"Noctis, I knew you’d show up and cause trouble." Liam Leshan sneered. "Guards! Seize him!"

A few Divine Guards in iron armor, holding chains, appeared and took up positions around the hall.

Most people didn’t notice anything, but Lily Bai and her master and fellow disciple immediately turned pale.

The iron armor on those guards was engraved with runic glyphs.

Those runic glyphs linked the guards to the Southcourt Palace’s grand array, creating another Heavenly Net Array—its power was overwhelming, nothing mere mortals could resist.

Lily Bai’s gaze sharpened. She searched the crowd, finally settling on the child Noctis had just picked up…

"Wait." Divine Lord Tanya Quinn stopped the guards, then asked Noctis, "Noctis, I don’t want to delay the auspicious hour. Can we talk about this after the ceremony?"

As she spoke, she sent Noctis a gentle voice transmission: "If you’re willing, I can ask the elders to let you become a consort. Please don’t make trouble, alright?"

Noctis said, "His mother is Jenna Stormscar!"

"What?" Tanya Quinn and all the Phoenix Clan members were shocked. "You mean Jenna Stormscar, chief of the Vermilion Divine Clan?"

Noctis nodded.
