After Julia Yu resolved the trouble weighing on her mind, she went home, showered, and fell straight asleep.
That night, she didn’t feel conflicted at all and slept soundly.
In her dreams, Leo Yu’s clear eyes sparkled with warmth and affection.
He softly called her 'Sis,' and she happily responded.
She slept soundly all night.
When morning came, Julia Yu reached out to silence her alarm and got ready to start her day.
As soon as she opened the door, she saw Lisa Li standing right outside, startling Julia awake!
That was way too scary!
"What’s up?" Julia asked.
"You promised me you’d keep going on blind dates." Today, Lisa Li’s lipstick was a classic Chinese red, but paired with her eerie eyeshadow, she looked just like a ghost from a horror movie.
"Oh, of course I remember." Julia brushed Lisa’s shoulder aside, turned to the bathroom, and after a quick wash and a light touch of makeup, she said, "Don’t worry, as long as you don’t make trouble, I’ll definitely find you someone suitable."
Lisa Li let out a soft laugh, and honestly, it was more than a little creepy.
Julia didn’t think much of it—Lisa had been acting weird ever since she came back.
If Julia weren’t worried about her, she wouldn’t have stayed here at all.
Who wants to deal with someone who sneers at you every single day?
When she got to the office, Julia finished handing over the rest of her work.
Vice President Song grinned at Julia Yu, "Congratulations on your promotion, Special Assistant Yu."
"Congratulations to you too, Vice President Song," Julia replied with a smile. "I haven’t congratulated you on your own promotion yet."
"Let’s skip the flattery," Vice President Song chuckled. "I heard you and Stephen have been spending time together lately? My nephew’s a good kid—no issues with character or ability." He couldn’t help but praise his nephew whenever he got the chance.
Vice President Song could tell his nephew was truly interested in Julia Yu.
As his uncle, of course he wanted to play matchmaker.
Julia didn’t quite get what Vice President Song was hinting at. She just smiled and said, "Stephen’s a great guy—otherwise, I wouldn’t have put him on my dating list."
Vice President Song just smiled and said nothing.
Julia Yu was the trusted Chief Special Assistant, but for now, there weren’t any tasks that really suited her.
So, Julia put Lisa Li’s blind dates back on the agenda. She carefully re-screened a list of eligible, unmarried men—not the best of the best, but decent enough—and handed it to Max Mo. "Mr. Mo, here’s my revised list. Please take a look."
Max Mo glanced at the list and nodded. "Good selection. These guys may be average, but their family backgrounds are acceptable. For Lisa, they’re a pretty good match."
Last time, most of the candidates were top-tier talents—heirs or rich young masters from prominent families.
But this time, there wasn’t a single elite family on the list.
Most of them were from middle-class families. Not the worst, not the best—solid, reliable people, even if they weren’t at the top of society.
To be honest, these were still families Lisa Li couldn’t really aspire to.
But thanks to the Mo family connection, Lisa Li’s value had shot up, giving her a chance to meet these guys.
As long as Lisa agreed, Max Mo wouldn’t mind spending some money or doing a favor to help seal the deal and get her married.
Of course, whether Lisa would appreciate it or not—that was up to her.
Max Mo was very pleased with Julia’s efficiency. "You haven’t had a vacation in ages. Since things are quiet, why don’t you help Lisa with her dates and take some time off?"
"Sure thing, Mr. Mo." Julia laughed. "If I take a vacation right after my promotion, people will think I’m being sidelined!"
Max Mo laughed too. "Go on."
Julia paused at the door, then turned back and asked, "Mr. Mo, do you need me to get involved with Miss Xue?"
Max Mo’s blue eyes hesitated for a moment. "Forget it. Let her stay if she wants. She won’t make much of a difference anyway."
"Okay." Julia nodded and left Max Mo’s office.
After Julia left, Max Mo finally loosened his collar and leaned back in his chair, relaxing.
