The Direwolf Titan's eyes burst with pain, letting out a guttural howl as it staggered back several steps.
Then, it went berserk and lunged at her.
The Direwolf Titan had a keen sense of smell. Even though it was blinded, it could still pinpoint Grace's location.
Moreover, this kind of spirit beast was extremely vicious and battle-hungry. Once enraged, it would fight to the death!
Grace spun around, dashed up a tall tree in a few steps, then slipped into her spatial realm to grab her throwing knives.
She didn't have any weapons on hand, so she could only rely on her old throwing knives!
The Direwolf Titan's jumping ability was incredible. Sensing Grace's direction, it crouched and leapt, aiming precisely at where she was.
It was about to knock her down.
"Pfft!"
An arrow shot through its mouth and out the back of its neck.
The Direwolf Titan's limbs twitched a few times, but eventually, it fell and died.
Grace let out a sigh of relief, finally having time to take in her surroundings.
She was in a valley.
Both sides were strewn with rocks—one end was a dead end, the other had an opening.
Where was this place?
Why was she here?
Grace thought back for a moment. It seemed... Evan Xiao knocked her out?
Then dumped her here to feed the wolves?
She'd braved all his threats and slept with him, and he hadn't thrown her to the wolves before. So what's going on now?
Just as she was puzzling over this, suddenly, she felt an even stronger chill run down her spine than before.
She looked down and saw movement in the clumps of wild grass all around her.
In some places, she even glimpsed flashes of gray bodies.
More Direwolf Titans!
And not just one this time—a whole pack.
It must've been the dying howl of the last one that brought them here.
Damn it!
Direwolf Titans had steel-like hides, powerful attacks, and high defense. They were tough adversaries.
One was easy enough for her to handle, but a whole pack could be deadly!
She needed to quickly find a spot where she wouldn't be surrounded and attacked from all sides.
Leaping down from the tree, she sprinted toward the cliff wall nearby.
With her back against the cliff, she whipped around suddenly.
She was surrounded—ten Direwolf Titans in total.
The small ones were the size of guard dogs;
The big ones were nearly as tall as she was, with cultivation at least equal to a human Spirit Master, Fifth Rank.
The higher a spirit beast's rank, the smarter it gets.
You could tell just by looking at them.
They silently circled her, but didn't attack.
They were waiting for orders.
Once the biggest one gave the command, they'd all attack her at once.
Grace stayed perfectly still, holding a throwing knife in each hand, ready to strike.
"Awooo!" The biggest Direwolf Titan let out a sharp cry, and all ten Direwolf Titans lunged at Grace at once.
Grace's eyes were laser-focused. She fired three arrows from her left-hand weapon and three from her right, each shooting into their eyes or mouths.
At the same time, she swept her leg sideways, kicking four Direwolf Titans attacking from the front.
Her spirit power was electrified, and the Direwolf Titans she kicked were briefly paralyzed.
With quick shots, Grace finished them off one by one.
......
Taking a deep breath, Grace darted through the dense forest, running for the valley exit.
For some reason, this valley was crawling with spirit beasts.
On her way out, she ran into more Direwolf Titans, pythons as thick as barrels, and even a spotted leopard fiercer than the Direwolf Titans.
Any ordinary Spirit Master would've been devoured—down to the last bone—long ago.
After all, there were at least seven or eight beasts here with cultivation equal to hers.
But Grace possessed the Celestial Five-Element Root, granting her immense attack power and the ability to unleash different elemental effects depending on her opponent.
