Ian Song couldn’t help but speed up, flying toward the stele-like monument.
A short while later.
Ian arrived two hundred meters away from the stele-like monument. The monument stood about a thousand zhang tall, looking very much like a giant tombstone.
Just as he tried to extend his immortal sense toward it, he discovered that the tombstone was emitting a mysterious power that blocked his probing.
He frowned slightly, carefully examining the tombstone. On its surface were many mysterious inscriptions, but Ian couldn’t understand any of them.
"Someone’s here!"
Suddenly, Ian’s face grew more alert—he’d spotted two figures beneath the stele.
Focusing his gaze, Ian saw that the two were dressed in ragged clothes, looking almost like beggars. However, judging by their aura, both possessed peak late-stage Earth Immortal strength.
At the same time, as Ian sized up the two, they were also sizing him up. When they saw Ian’s clean clothes, a trace of joy appeared on their faces.
The two quickly exchanged glances, then briskly walked toward Ian.
"Stop right there!"
Seeing the two getting closer and closer, Ian frowned. Both of them were filthy, emitting a faint stench. He found it odd—after all, they clearly had late-stage Earth Immortal cultivation, so why were they so dirty and smelly? Any simple spell could have cleaned them up instantly.
"Fellow Immortal, you must have just been swept into the Gods’ Tomb World, right?"
Suddenly, one of them spoke, revealing two rows of blackened teeth. As he talked, a strong fishy stench wafted over.
"This place is called the Gods’ Tomb World?"
Ian asked in a deep voice.
"That’s right!"
The man nodded and added, "Why don’t you come over and talk? It’s safer here—otherwise, those Baleful Demons might attack!"
"Baleful Demons?"
Ian instantly thought of the monsters he’d just destroyed.
