For Quinn Shepherd, only a few years had passed since that night; but for the girl, forty thousand years had gone by.
What puzzled Quinn was that, after forty thousand years, Queena White's appearance was almost unchanged from when they first met.
She hadn't grown up at all—she was still that lively, adorable girl Quinn had met that night in Baillong City, with a pair of small dragon horns hidden in her hair.
What had changed was her demeanor.
No one knew what she'd been through, but all her old timidity and softness were gone, replaced by sharpness, drive, and fearlessness.
Quinn didn’t realize it, but before dawn, he was the reason she and the Supreme Sovereign Era remnants survived; after sunrise, he became her encouragement to keep going, leading those frail survivors onward.
After forty thousand years, the two met again as if for the first time. Neither had changed much in appearance—Quinn had grown up, Queena White's temperament had changed, and that was all.
Quinn smiled, and the girl among the gods opposite him smiled too.
They looked away, like boys and girls pretending not to know each other; if they kept staring, they'd only end up blushing in embarrassment.
Quinn’s spirits lifted, his mood suddenly inexplicably bright. He laughed, “Earth Mother’s disciple actually has to prove their own identity to you? What a joke—and how pathetic. I have Earth Mother’s blessing.”
The halo behind his head slowly revolved, brimming with the power of Earth Mother Primordial Lady.
"And the Earth-Origin Dao Fruit that grew on the Origin-Root Tree."
Quinn slowly looked around the hall, speaking unhurriedly: "As for my maidservant—I'm sure many elders present have seen her before. These treasures I carry were all personally refined by Earth Mother herself. I have these; what do you have?"
The girl's expression didn't change. She smiled softly, "Autumn Cloud Phoenix, is it? Autumn Cloud Phoenix betrayed Earth Mother long ago. If the phoenix clan hadn't turned traitor, Earth Mother wouldn't have suffered such a crushing defeat. Senior Sister Autumn Cloud, am I wrong?"
Autumn Cloud Phoenix flared up in anger. "Slander! You brat, I'll tear you apart!"
Quinn raised his hand and said quietly, "Autumn Cloud, calm down. There are a lot of demigods here—if you lose your head, you'll become a target and play right into her hands."
Autumn Cloud Phoenix shivered inwardly, quickly glancing around. Sure enough, many demigods were giving her suspicious looks.
The girl smiled, "Autumn Cloud Phoenix betrayed Earth Mother, but many loyal subjects still stand by her, which is why Earth Mother survived. Of course, there are plenty of traitors too. So how do you prove the treasures in your hand are really Earth Mother's?"
Quinn looked at the girl in front of the throne, half-smiling: "Sword!"
He raised his palm. Autumn Cloud Phoenix paused for a moment, then suddenly understood and placed the hilt of the Earth-Primordial Sword in his hand, whispering, "Careful—it's heavy."
Quinn smiled faintly, channeling vital qi into the Earth-Primordial Sword. Instantly, the sword's power erupted—geomagnetic force raged, transforming into visible divine light!
A chorus of muffled groans echoed through High Heaven Hall as everyone inside felt an overwhelming pressure!
The power radiating from this wooden sword wasn’t mere divine ability—it was true god-power!
This was the unique god-power of Earth Mother Primordial Lady—suppressing all heavens, suppressing all worlds!
It was geomagnetic force, as heavy as the earth of the Earth-Mother Origin World itself!
Quinn immediately felt the sword’s weight grow astonishing—he nearly couldn’t lift it. He quickly withdrew some of his vital qi, finally feeling a bit more comfortable.
Whoosh—
He leveled the wooden sword, moving it slowly. Though its speed was sluggish, the force was immense as he thrust it forward.
Many of the women standing by the girl arched their brows, ready to strike, but the girl smiled, raised a single finger, and none of them dared to move.
Quinn’s sword stopped just at her brow, but the heavy, resonant sound didn’t fade—the geomagnetic force shook the entire hall as if a storm were brewing.
A constant rumbling echoed from behind the hall. Many demigods and divine beings at the entrance immediately flew outside.
Everyone soared into the air, looking behind the hall—where, with Quinn’s sword-thrust, mountains erupted from the ground, shaking the earth with thunderous force. It was as if the sword’s power had detonated behind High Heaven Hall!
Across vast Jade Capital City, countless halls exploded. Towering peaks burst from the earth at astonishing speed, smashing the ancient Heavenly Court ruins to pieces!
With this one sword, a tenth of Jade Capital City was destroyed!
"It’s the Earth-Primordial Sword!"
An ancient demigod exclaimed, "That’s the sword that suppressed all the heavens! Ancestral Dragon King, am I right?"
Ancestral Dragon King’s face was full of doubt and awe, his voice hoarse: "It is! Earth Mother forged it from primordial wood, infusing it with her god-power. Back when Earth Mother was alive, she didn’t need to descend herself—just sending this sword was enough. When the Earth-Primordial Sword appeared, all the heavens bowed!"
"Those who didn’t bow..."
A demon god from the heavens above the Earth-Mother Origin World said coldly, "...were all slain by this wooden sword!"
Celestial Teacher Ethan led his donkey outside, frowning at the mountain range that had suddenly appeared, destroying a tenth of Jade Capital City.
Yet at that very moment, Quinn, gripping the Earth-Primordial Sword, felt uneasy. He hadn’t even realized that a single thrust could devastate the shrines of Jade Capital City!
"Why is this sword’s power so weak? I didn’t use my full strength just now—let me try another thrust!"
He immediately lifted the wooden sword and stabbed forward again.
This time, he poured in even more vital qi—the sword grew so heavy he could barely lift it!
The hall shook violently, the spectacle was astonishing, and countless primordial magnetism divine lights surged from the sword. Yet despite the display, the Earth-Primordial Sword still showed little actual power—it barely damaged High Heaven Hall.
"Could my sword be a fake?"
Sweat beaded on Quinn’s brow as he stabbed several times in quick succession.
Outside the hall, even Celestial Teacher Ethan and his donkey were dumbfounded, staring blankly at Jade Capital City.
