Wraithlord's Trial Part 1

12/15/2025

There is no wind in this world, and everything is unbearably dull. I can barely stand it anymore, but right now, I cannot leave—and I don't want to leave.

All these days, I've been talking to the Wraithlord every day, but he barely acknowledges me. I have no idea what I need to do for him to finally teach me something.

Right now, the Wraithlord is already asleep. I sit on the mountaintop across the lake, quietly staring at the water. I used to feel restless and agitated, but over the past few days, I've gradually calmed down.

My body has already been processed by 001's power and is temporarily held together, but this isn't a real solution. The Dual Soul inside me is starting to separate, and this body, built from baleful energy, is gradually losing its restraint over the soul. The ghostly power is starting to act up too; if I can't find a way, I'll have no choice but to go back.

If I keep waiting here, it's just a waste of time. I get up and head straight into the lake, arriving at the underwater room. The Wraithlord is still asleep, clutching the Wraithlord's Tome in his arms.

I sneer as I walk to the bedside, then suddenly kick the side of the bed. The Wraithlord doesn't move, still snoring away. After shaking him for a while, he still doesn't wake up. Looks like I'll just have to keep waiting.

Finally, after a long time, the Wraithlord gets up, yawning and clutching the Wraithlord's Tome as he walks to the table. He opens it and begins to read with intense focus.

"Why do you spend all day clutching that worthless book? Do you really think you can see anything in it?"

I scoffed and said, laughing.

The Wraithlord turned his head.

"Didn't you say before that you could read the contents of the book? Turns out you were lying to me. Heh. Why are you still here? I've already helped you."

"So you remember, huh."

I muttered, thinking the Wraithlord was mentally unstable and couldn't remember things from just a few days ago. Unexpectedly, he did remember. Now the Wraithlord gazed at me with weary eyes, then smiled faintly and sighed.

"What are you laughing at? What's so funny?"

"Of course I'm laughing at your stupidity."

Annoyed, I glared at the Wraithlord. He lifted the tome and waved it in front of my eyes, then beckoned me over.

"Look here."

I stared at the book in confusion. There was nothing on its pages, just a blank expanse. My eyes widened, and I glared at the Wraithlord, my anger rising.

"You idiot, this is Mother Goddess Nuwa tricking you. There's absolutely nothing in this book."

Unable to hold back, I finally mentioned Mother Goddess Nuwa. But the Wraithlord only looked at me in puzzlement. I was surprised—he wasn't angry at all when I brought up Nuwa, and instead regarded me with unsettling calm.
