Let Big Brother Join the Official Registry

"Exactly! But Aunt Wan said that since Big Brother is just an adopted son and doesn't hold any official position, most respectable families aren't willing to marry their daughters to him!" Grace said.

"Is that so?" Lena mused, deep in thought.

"Mom, it's true that Big Brother is adopted—there's no changing that," Grace said. "The only way he could get a good match is if he entered the official registry. If he had a respectable position, no one would dare look down on him!"

"Mm." Lena nodded in agreement.

"Aunt Wan manages everything in the household, and Dad never bothers with these things. I doubt he's even thought about this," Grace added. "Why don't you mention it to Dad? He'll definitely make proper arrangements for Big Brother."

Lena saw how thorough Grace's analysis was and turned to Aunt Crystal with a smile, "Look at our Grace—she's like a little grown-up!"

"Isn't she just!" Aunt Crystal looked at Grace with a pleased expression.

Grace grinned, "It's all thanks to Mom's teaching!"

Lena's expression darkened: "When did I ever teach you? For the past ten years, I was barely awake for more than an hour a day. That one hour was spent eating and taking medicine—I couldn't possibly look after you... It's really Aunt Wan who deserves the credit for raising you so well."

Grace leaned on her shoulder and said, "Aunt Wan took great care of me in daily life—she gave me all the best food and things. But in other ways, it was you who taught me! Like your kindness, your gentle heart, your spirit—they shine like gold!"

"You little rascal!" Lena laughed and poked her.

Aunt Crystal, watching the mother and daughter, couldn't help but smile warmly.

Thank the Phoenix—Miss Lawrence really has changed!

...

Grace's cultivation had reached the peak of the fourth rank.

To reach the fifth rank as a Spirit Master, one must condense Qi into substance, turning spiritual power into blades or arrows—useful for direct attacks and for controlling swords, greatly boosting strength.

Every night, Grace would sneak into her space to practice Qi Condensation.

Having done it before, everything came naturally to her.

In the end, all she needed was to take a Qi Condensation Pill and she'd be set.

Unfortunately, she didn't have any Qi Condensation Pills on hand.

That stuff doesn't keep well, and it's easy to make, so she hadn't bothered to store any.

She'd have to make a fresh batch.

She checked her stash of spirit herbs: with what was already in her space, plus what she'd bought last time, she had almost everything she needed—except for one thing: Azure Tusk.

She needed the tusk from an Azure Elephant over a hundred years old.

And it had to be stored for more than ten years after harvesting.

Azure Tusk was a fairly common spirit herb, often made into jewelry to wear for gathering and absorbing spiritual energy.

The longer it was stored, the more spiritual energy it held—and the more valuable it became.

Grace searched all over the city's spirit shops, but couldn't find one that fit the bill.

Either the Azure Elephant wasn't old enough, or it hadn't been stored long enough.

Finally, she heard from her own spirit shop manager that the Lawrence family’s private vault might have some.

The Lawrence family basically monopolized the spirit goods business in Blue Moon Kingdom.

Their warehouse was divided into the outer vault and the inner vault.

The outer vault was for shop business turnover.

The inner vault was where all the treasures were kept, reserved for family members only.

The key to the inner vault was held by the Lawrence family patriarch—Minister Zhuo, Grace's father.

Grace's Spirit Master identity hadn't been made public yet, so she had no status in the family. There was no way the elders and her father would approve her request for the Azure Tusk jewelry.
