Fifth Highness, I’m Back
Hearing that question, Divine Lord Tanya Quinn suddenly burst out laughing—and couldn’t stop.
Lily Bai stared at her in confusion. "What’s so funny about that?"
"Mm... Honestly, I don’t know either," Tanya Quinn said. "On the day of your execution, he attacked the Execution Ground. He dragged you into the Primeval Sanctuary. Then he popped up again, leading a bunch of demon soldiers, and stormed the Celestial Palace—almost killed the Celestial Empress."
Lily Bai: "..."
"After that—no clue how he pulled it off—he set up a Tribulation Storm Array, fenced off half the Primeval Demon Wilds, and crowned himself emperor. That’s how his Demon Emperor career started."
As she spoke, Tanya couldn’t help but start laughing again.
"Seriously, what are you laughing at?" Lily Bai asked.
Tanya finally replied, "Do you know why His Majesty the Celestial Emperor founded the Three-Realms Joint Army in the first place?"
Lily Bai: "Wasn’t he just bored?"
"You really believe that?" Tanya shook her head. "The old oracle of Drake Abyss predicted a Demon Emperor would appear and throw the Three Realms into chaos. So the Three-Realms Joint Army was created specifically to deal with the Demon Emperor."
Sure enough, Sean Shaw was still waiting outside.
Before they went in, he’d even smiled at her.
Now, as their eyes met, his face was blank, but his gaze was as deep and unreadable as a black lake—no telling what lay beneath.
He really was different now.
He wasn’t that easily-flustered, blushing youth anymore.
Lily Bai grinned at him and said, "Fifth Highness! I’m back!"
Sean Shaw ignored her and instead bowed to Divine Lord Tanya Quinn. "Thank you, Divine Lord."
Tanya Quinn waved her hand. "I’m heading back to Cangwu. You two go visit the White family! There’s a surprise waiting!"
Sean Shaw nodded.
After Tanya Quinn left, Sean Shaw said to her expressionlessly, "I’ll take you back to the White family."
Lily Bai tilted her head at him. "Um... Divine Lord helped me recover Lucy Luan’s memories."
"So?" Sean Shaw looked at her. "Is there something you want to say to me?"
"Of course there is!" Lily Bai said. "They implanted a Hellfire Talisman in me back then—I should’ve been annihilated! How did I manage to reincarnate?"
Sean Shaw’s expression grew even colder. "Maybe their talisman just didn’t work."
"Oh..." Lily Bai nodded. "Then how did you make that Tribulation Storm Array—"
"Are we leaving or not?" he suddenly interrupted her, coldly.
Lily Bai blinked at him. "Let’s go."
On the way, he used Swiftstride to carry her.
Sean Shaw nodded.
