Smash Your Head to Pieces

"Alexander Hayes, what are you pointing at me with?" Prince Ling was so angered by Alexander Hayes' fearless expression that he shouted at him, utterly embarrassed.

Alexander Hayes smiled faintly, shifted the barrel of his pistol, and aimed it at the head of an Imperial Guards commander. He said, "Your Highness Prince Ling, let me show you exactly what this thing is."

Just as Alexander Hayes finished speaking, everyone heard a loud bang. The strange object in his hand fired, and when the crowd turned to look, the Imperial Guards commander fell backward off his horse without even uttering a cry.

That single blast, from such a distance, knocked the Imperial Guards commander off his horse?

Prince Ling's eyes widened in disbelief. "W-what kind of hidden weapon is this!?"

Alexander Hayes blew the smoke from the pistol's barrel and sneered, "Your Highness Prince Ling, go see for yourself. You'll understand soon enough."

Prince Ling felt a chill run down his spine under Alexander Hayes' gaze. Driven by a strange impulse, he dismounted and ordered his men to bring over the fallen Imperial Guards commander.

Two young soldiers went to carry the body, but as soon as they saw the commander's head, they screamed, "Ah! His head—his head is gone!"

Their cries stirred up a commotion among the crowd. Seeing the soldiers' panic, Prince Ling immediately barked, "What do you mean his head is gone? Stop shouting!"

Noticing the two soldiers' pale faces, Prince Ling grew suspicious and walked over himself. The moment he saw it, his own face turned white with fear!

No one knew what struck the Imperial Guards commander's head, but half his skull was blown apart, brain matter and blood spilling everywhere—a truly horrifying sight!

Prince Ling's legs went weak at the sight!

Everyone knew that the skull was incredibly tough. Unless you struck it repeatedly and forcefully with something like a heavy iron hammer at close range, you couldn't smash it and send brain matter flying.

But this man died right before their eyes, and half his head was blasted open by something!

What on earth could possibly be so terrifying that it could blow apart half a man's head!?

Prince Ling's mind flashed to the small, black, metallic object in Alexander Hayes' hand—something he had never seen before.

Prince Ling felt a chill deep in his heart. Was this the true power of Alexander Hayes' mysterious weapon?

Staring at the mangled head, Prince Ling felt his own skull ache. He stiffly turned to look at Alexander Hayes, his face ashen and ghostly. "Alexander Hayes, what is that weapon you're holding? Or is it some kind of sorcery!?"

Alexander Hayes raised his pistol, aiming it at Prince Ling's head. "Your Highness Prince Ling, are you asking about this thing in my hand? This is a treasure my wife gave me. Not only could it blow apart your head—it could do the same to a tiger's!"

Staring at the dark muzzle of the pistol, Prince Ling's legs nearly gave out—he almost wet himself from fear!

Just moments ago, Prince Ling had seen Alexander Hayes use this very thing to blast open the Imperial Guards commander's head. If he fired it at himself, wouldn't his own head be blown apart too!?

Terrified, Prince Ling began to tremble all over. Quick as lightning, he pulled two soldiers in front of himself, hiding behind them and shouting at Alexander Hayes, "Even if you have a powerful weapon, what can you do? You only have one, while we have thousands surrounding the Prince of Qin's Manor, plus tens of thousands more reinforcements behind us! I refuse to believe you alone, with just one weapon, can blow apart everyone's heads!"
