Do You Prefer It Fast?

The crimson curtains swayed in ecstasy, waves of passion crashing over them. By the time they came back to their senses, an entire hour had passed.

Princess Jade Hayes panted softly, her whole body limp like a puddle, flushed with a rosy glow. She lay in Alexander Hayes’s arms, her brows furrowed in a mix of annoyance and flirtatious charm, shooting a glare at the culprit who’d nearly worn her out.

Alexander Hayes, on the other hand, wore a perfectly serious expression as he held Princess Jade close, looking nothing like the fierce, wolfish man from moments before.

It had been ages since the couple had been this intimate, making their reunion feel sweeter than a newlywed’s first night.

After lazing around for a while longer, they realized it was already afternoon. Princess Jade sat up and Alexander helped her dress and do her hair. Blushing, she said, “It’s been ages since Charles saw me. He must be missing his mother terribly. It’s all your fault—you kept me busy for so long…”

“Does my lady not prefer it when I take my time? Or… do you like it fast?” Alexander set the comb down with a perfectly straight face. The words nearly made Princess Jade choke on her own spit—he actually said that out loud!

Seeing Princess Jade’s rosy reflection in the mirror, Alexander muttered to himself, “Seems my lady does prefer it slow and steady.”

“You! Hmph! You’re a father now and still so shameless!” Princess Jade covered her face in embarrassment, looking every bit the bashful young maiden—adorable beyond words.

Once dressed, Princess Jade and Alexander Hayes walked hand in hand out of the royal suite to visit Charles Hayes. Just as they stepped outside, they saw Sean Hayes standing there, face bright red. The moment he saw them, Sean clamped a hand over his mouth, struggling not to laugh—his ears even turned red from the effort.

Seeing Sean’s expression, Princess Jade remembered the scene inside the suite and instantly blushed again, feeling terribly awkward. Who knows how long Sean had been waiting out there… Oh dear, she could just die of embarrassment!

The moment Sean Hayes saw the couple emerge, he dashed over and blurted, "Your Majesty, Your Highness, I have something to report. I've been waiting here for over an hour!"

Princess Jade’s face turned so red it looked like steam might come out. Over an hour? That meant Sean had arrived right as they started—and knowing what was happening, he hadn’t dared interrupt, just waited outside the whole time.

Alexander Hayes, however, remained perfectly composed. He glanced at Sean and coughed lightly. "Sean Hayes, what is it you wish to report?"

Sean replied, "Here’s the thing: the officials from Anchester’s offices, plus local tycoons, merchants, landlords, and gentry, have all sent gifts. Even the ladies of their households have come—looks like they want to pay respects to Her Highness."

Alexander glanced back at Princess Jade, then instructed, "Sean, you and Mrs. Penny handle the social calls. Investigate everyone’s background and character thoroughly, and report back. Her Highness just arrived and needs proper rest. Have them come another day."

Sean gave Princess Jade a cheeky grin. "Her Highness definitely needs lots of rest."

After all, they’d just spent over an hour in there—no wonder she looked ready to fall apart!

Princess Jade’s face grew even redder. She quickly dragged Alexander Hayes toward Charles Hayes’s room, biting her lip and glaring at Alexander the whole way. Her adorable pout made Alexander’s heart itch with affection.

But they were here to see their son, so he had to hold back!

Suddenly, Alexander remembered—he’d finally gotten to enjoy marital bliss after so long. If Princess Jade got pregnant again, wouldn’t he be back to abstaining and chanting prayers?

Oh dear, just thinking about it made Alexander feel conflicted about having a second child.

Maybe... they should wait a few years before trying for another?

While Alexander was lost in thought, Princess Jade dragged him into Charles Hayes’s room.

Inside was a huge bed—and on it, four adorable babies.
