Still Not Turning Over

12/2/2025

Charlie, Connie Evans, and Mrs. Penny’s Lucky Twins—four adorable babies gathered together, so cute it could melt anyone’s heart!

Seeing the children, Queen Lily’s mood lifted instantly. Charlie turned his head, spotted his parents, and though he couldn’t speak yet, he lay on his back, reaching out for a hug and giggling happily.

Connie Evans sat on the big bed, inching his way toward his nursemaid.

On Charlie’s other side were Mrs. Penny’s Lucky Twins, younger than Charlie and Connie Evans by a few months, but already able to sit up on their own.

“Charlie, Mommy’s here! Did you miss me?” Queen Lily scooped Charlie up and planted a kiss on his chubby cheek.

Charlie was fair and rosy, like a little glutinous rice dumpling, grinning from ear to ear.

Queen Lily held Charlie and sat by the bed. Suddenly, someone tugged at her clothes—she turned to see Connie Evans had crawled over, his little hands gripping her sleeve and shaking it, giggling with delight.

“Good boy, Connie! Come here for a hug!” Queen Lily smiled and pulled Connie Evans into her arms too.

Connie Evans and Charlie were face-to-face, held upright in Queen Lily’s arms. Connie was clearly fascinated by Charlie, waving his chubby little hands to touch him.

After playing together for a while, Connie Evans crawled off again, full of energy and never sitting still for a moment.

Mrs. Penny’s Lucky Twins were even more advanced than Charlie and Connie Evans—they could both sit up and turn over on their own, and their laughter filled the room.

Queen Lily couldn’t help but sigh, “Charlie is almost eight months old, but he still hasn’t learned to turn over. I’m really starting to worry.”

King Alexander stepped over, gently placing his hand on Queen Lily’s shoulder and comforting her, “Don’t worry, Charlie’s just taking his time. He’ll catch up soon.”

Mrs. Penny added cheerfully, “That’s right, Your Majesty! My twins were late bloomers too, but look at them now—full of energy and mischief!”

Queen Lily smiled, her worries easing a little. She watched Charlie, who was busy babbling and trying to grab Connie Evans’s nose.

Dr. Simon Young arrived, carrying his medical kit. He checked on the babies and reassured Queen Lily, “Charlie’s development is perfectly normal. Some babies just prefer to take their time. There’s nothing to worry about.”

Queen Lily breathed a sigh of relief. With so many lively babies around, her worries faded and laughter filled the room.

King Alexander smiled and wrapped an arm around Queen Lily, whispering, “Our Charlie is perfect just the way he is.”

Charlie let out a joyful squeal, as if agreeing with his father, and the whole family burst into laughter.

Queen Lily hugged Charlie tightly, her heart full of love and hope for the future.

No matter what challenges lay ahead, as long as they were together, nothing could stop them.
