After the voice of Sect Master Victor Ming faded away, Mira Ming and Liam Yang exchanged glances. Terry Tian, who was there, looked at the two and said, "Do you believe it?"
"If my dad says it, of course I believe it," Mira Ming replied.
"If she believes it, then of course I do too," Liam Yang said.
"Alright, then I'll stay here for a few days. But my time is limited. If nothing changes, there's nothing more I can do," Terry Tian said, then closed his eyes.
Liam Yang and Mira Ming had no idea what he meant, so they could only stay here as well.
About a month later, Liam Yang and Mira Ming were chatting about everything, laughing together, while Terry Tian sat there in frustration. He tried to talk to Mira, but she ignored him. As a result, his resentment toward Liam only grew. He muttered to himself, "If I can't have her, then you won't either."
One day, Terry Tian suddenly launched a sneak attack on Liam Yang. Fortunately, Liam reacted quickly. Mira Ming shielded him and said, "Are you really going to make a move?"
"Watching you two being so clingy every day drives me crazy. If you'd agree to be with me, I'd let him go," Terry Tian said.
"I already told you, it's impossible between us, so keep dreaming," Mira Ming said.
Furious, Terry Tian snorted coldly, "I'll make you both regret this."
A few more days passed like this, and in the end, Terry Tian couldn’t hold out anymore. He snorted coldly and said, “I can’t be bothered with you two. This time, you can just die.”
With that, Terry Tian vanished, stepping through the portal. In his mind, whether Liam Yang and Mira Ming lived or died now had nothing to do with him.
“Looks like we’re done for.” Liam Yang sighed.
Just then, Sect Master Victor Ming’s voice rang out, “There’s still a small problem. One of you can still come out, but you have to hurry. Terry Tian’s already left—if you don’t go now, you’ll miss your chance.”
Hearing that only one person could leave, Liam Yang and Mira Ming glanced at each other, both hesitating. In the end, Liam Yang smiled and said, “You go.”
“Why not you? You’ll die if you stay.” Mira Ming said.
“If I die, I die. Who knows, maybe if I die, my dad can bring me back to life—my dad’s got all kinds of crazy powers.” Liam Yang grinned.
“There’s no such thing as that in the world. You should go instead—this whole mess started because of me.” After hanging out with Liam Yang for a few months, Mira Ming really couldn’t bear to see him just die here.
“Go on.” Liam Yang had already developed some feelings for Mira Ming. He looked at her, then reached out and gently pushed her toward the exit.
Mira Ming tried to stop herself, but realized her body was being held by some kind of force—she couldn’t stop at all. As for how Liam Yang managed to push her so easily, even he didn’t know, just that it worked.
Watching Mira Ming slowly fade away before his eyes, Liam Yang smiled, while Mira Ming felt a sudden urge to cry. Even though she’d only known this “black lump” for a few months, her feelings for Liam Yang had definitely changed.
After Mira Ming completely disappeared, Liam Yang sighed, “Ah, alone again. Dad, do you think I’ll survive?”
Ready to sacrifice himself, Liam Yang waited for death. Meanwhile, Mira Ming appeared outside, where she saw Sect Master Victor Ming, Milo Ming, and Terry Tian, who had already come out.
When Terry Tian saw Mira Ming, he laughed, “Ha! Sect Master Victor Ming, thanks. I told you, this was all fake—the real goal was killing that kid, right?”
Hearing that, Mira Ming snapped, “So you were on his side?”
Sect Master Victor Ming frowned. “What? Do you really like him?”
“It’s not about liking or not. What you did just now made me completely hate you. If anything happens to him, I’ll cut ties with you forever.” Mira Ming said.
Sect Master Victor Ming hadn’t expected such a strong reaction from Mira Ming. Terry Tian quickly jumped in, “Xixi, he’s just a passerby. If he dies, so what?”
“You’ve got some nerve talking to me! Don’t you have any shame? Before you left, you were hoping we’d both die. Now that I survived, you’re trying to sweet-talk me?” Mira Ming was furious at Terry Tian’s two-faced act.
Terry Tian got stuck for a second, but then forced himself to say, “Because I knew it was all fake.”
