Don’t Burn Down the Radiant Palace

"Who could possibly miss Young Lord Adrian?" Ryan Lu punched him on the shoulder. "I heard you just advanced to the upper rank—looks like it really made a difference!"

"You bet! Now I’m at your level! After the banquet, let’s spar again! This time I’m definitely going to beat you!"

"Sounds good! No problem! Let’s do it in your peach grove."

Lu Xianyu laughed, "You don’t really want to spar with my second brother—you just want to drink my Divine Father’s peach blossom wine, right?"

"No one understands me better than Senior Sister!" Adrian Drake grinned.

"Eh? Who’s that? Is he your new immortal attendant?" Lu Xianyu glanced at the man behind him.

The man gave her a brief look.

Then, coldly, he averted his gaze.

"He’s not my immortal attendant, he... he’s a distant relative of mine," Adrian explained. "He’s from the Wildlands, so I brought him up to the Divine Realm to broaden his horizons."

"Oh? You hardly ever bring relatives up here." Lu Xuanyang looked him over—his looks and aura were truly remarkable—and asked, "What’s his cultivation level? What’s his name?"

"His name’s Damian Black," Adrian said. "Just a minor immortal."

Lu Xuanyang nodded to Damian, then slung an arm around Adrian’s shoulders, rallying the group as they all headed inside together.

Today was the birthday of Qilin Divine Lord Soren Lann.

He wore festive red Divine Robes, his face lit with a smile, eyes shining—noble, gentle, and utterly peerless.

All the gods who saw him couldn’t help but praise him.

Every notable god from the three Divine Realms was present, each taking turns to toast him and offer birthday wishes.

Soren Lann sat at the head of the table, smiling as he greeted everyone, his manners impeccable.

When offered wine, he’d only raise his cup and touch it lightly to his lips—a polite gesture, never actually drinking that much.

But when the Lu family toasted him, he rose to his feet, respectfully called Quentin Lian ‘Master’ and Vivian Lu ‘Madam,’ then drained his cup in their honor.

Not only that—after finishing his wine, he anxiously reminded, "Xuanyang, keep an eye on Senior Sister, don’t let her drink too much! Last time she got drunk, she nearly burned down the Spirit Alliance—don’t let her torch the Radiant Palace this time!"

The gods burst out laughing.

Lu Xianyu looked a little embarrassed.

After returning to her seat, she overheard the gods’ whispers—making her even more embarrassed.

"Ever since the Number One Divine Lady of the Lumina Realm transformed, she hasn’t appeared in public. Now that she’s here—wow, she really lives up to the title! Her background’s extraordinary, and that face... Who wouldn’t fall for her?"

"Right? Soren Lann is usually so cool and reserved, but today he’s in a great mood—smiling all day. Maybe it’s because the Divine Lady is here."

"Everyone’s heard the Divine Lord treats her differently. Whenever he gets something good, none of the palace princesses get it—he sends it straight to the Spirit Alliance. Seeing them today, their relationship’s clearly special. I bet the Radiant Palace will have a mistress soon!"

"They’re both wearing red Divine Robes today, totally a perfect match..."

Lu Xianyu secretly snorted with laughter.

These old gods seriously have too much free time.

...

After the banquet, Adrian Drake did indeed follow the Lu siblings back to Peach Blossom Haven.

On the way, Lu Xuanyang pointed at Lu Xianyu and burst out laughing: "Serves you right for always using your Senior Sister status to boss the Divine Lord around—dumping all the dirty work on him! Now you’re getting payback, and that public roast was just the first wave. You’re in for it later!"
