In the canyon leading to the Godfall World, space-time fissures appeared everywhere, and every so often, a space-time wind blade would drift out. Even Heavenly Gods had to dodge them with extreme caution.
Let alone Upper-Rank Gods—if an ordinary Upper-Rank God entered here, it would be certain death.
But Ian Song was no ordinary Upper-Rank God.
His strength was already comparable to a Mid Heavenly God.
After dodging several space-time wind blades in a row, the Heavenly Gods’ gazes toward him grew a bit more complicated.
"Captain, looks like this kid does have some skills!"
The female Mid Heavenly God glanced at Ian Song and spoke to Yuchi Hawk.
"Stay focused!"
Yuchi Hawk replied coolly, picking up the pace again.
Seeing this, Ian Song narrowed his eyes and thought to himself, "A bunch of bastards—trying to kill me? Not a chance!"
Just then—
A Lower Heavenly God walking ahead of Ian suddenly spotted a space-time wind blade about a foot long appear up ahead.
Instinctively, he wanted to dodge, but then an idea struck him and he slowed down—since Ian was right behind him, if he waited until the wind blade was close to dodge, Ian wouldn’t have time to react.
But Ian, who had already released his divine sense, noticed the wind blade before he did. Seeing the other man deliberately slow down, Ian instantly understood his plan, so he quickly formed a restriction hand seal and cast it.
"Pfft!"
Blood splattered—the Lower Heavenly God was struck right in the chest by the space-time wind blade. His defensive artifact couldn’t stop it at all; the blade cut straight through, leaving a gaping wound in his chest.
"What happened?"
Seeing this, Yuchi Hawk and the others all turned to look.
"It’s nothing, I just carelessly got hit by a space-time wind blade!"
The Lower Heavenly God said awkwardly.
Originally, he planned to dodge at the last moment, but just as he moved, his mind suddenly blanked for a split second, his reaction slowed just enough—and he was struck by the space-time wind blade.
"Be careful!"
Yuchi Hawk reminded him.
"Yes, Captain, I’ll be more careful!"
The Lower Heavenly God glared back at Ian Song, then took out a pill and swallowed it. The wound on his chest began healing rapidly.
Ian just shrugged innocently, though he was secretly amused.
At the same time, he gained a deeper understanding of his restriction technique—just now, the Lower Heavenly God hadn’t even noticed the minor restriction he’d cast.
The group continued forward through the canyon.
The farther they went, the more space-time fissures appeared, and the number of drifting space-time wind blades increased as well.
It forced the Heavenly Gods to stay on high alert, dodging the wind blades with all their might.
As for Ian Song, although he looked pretty battered, he actually dodged every space-time wind blade with ease.
Half an hour later—
The group finally made it through the canyon. Except for the five Mid Heavenly Gods, all the Lower Heavenly Gods had taken some damage. Ian Song looked disheveled, but not once had he been hit by a space-time wind blade.
This surprised the Heavenly Gods quite a bit.
Fortunately, they didn’t have time to wonder why Ian was unscathed, because their attention was drawn to a massive space-time fissure up ahead.
This fissure was relatively stable, but it radiated a deep, mysterious aura.
"This is the space-time passage to the Godfall Ruins. Go through it, and you’ll enter the Godfall World!" Yuchi Hawk announced. "Although the Godfall World never truly evolved, it was still created by a God Emperor. It’s full of leftover formations and restrictions, so everyone stay alert!"
"Yes, Captain!"
"Let’s go!"
Yuchi Hawk dove straight into the space-time fissure and quickly vanished from sight.
Seeing this, the others quickly followed and dove in after him.
After a brief hesitation, Ian Song stomped his right foot on the ground, then shot up into the air and plunged into the space-time fissure. Instantly, a powerful pulling force surrounded him, as if trying to tear his body apart.
"Hmph!"
His expression turned cold, and he activated his Primordial Chaos Body. The pulling force could no longer harm him at all. Clearly, the Heavenly Gods knew about this terrifying force in the fissure, but none of them warned him—most likely hoping he’d die inside the space-time passage.
A few breaths later—
Ian Song safely reached the other side of the passage, landed, and stood firmly on a stretch of barren earth.
All the trees and plants around him were dead, and there was no trace of divine energy anywhere in this world.
When Yuchi Hawk saw Ian Song arrive safely in the Godfall World, his eyes narrowed slightly.
"Let’s move!"
With a wave, Yuchi Hawk led the group flying forward.
Everything along the way was lifeless, without a hint of vitality. It was obvious this world was on the brink of collapse.
Half an hour later—
A stretch of broken ruins appeared before them, steeped in the marks of time—most of the walls were so decayed, they could hardly be called walls anymore.
Just a light touch would turn them to dust.
But after searching, everyone found a small temple shrouded in a formation.
"Chang De, break the formation!"
Yuchi Hawk called out to a Mid Heavenly God.
Chang De nodded, stepped forward to inspect, and began dismantling the formation.
Chang De was a decent formation master, but the formation in this small temple had over thirty thousand variations. After working for an hour, he still couldn’t break it.
Helpless, the Heavenly Gods tried brute force, but weirdly, even with everyone working together, they still couldn’t break the formation.
"How about I give it a try?"
Ian Song suddenly spoke up.
"You?" Chang De’s face darkened. "Get lost! You’re just a High God, and you think you can break a formation?"
Ian Song just smiled and said nothing.
"Fine. Let’s leave and check out somewhere else first."
Yuchi Hawk said.
So the Heavenly Gods all left the ruins.
"Why aren’t you leaving?"
After traveling some distance, Yuchi Hawk suddenly turned back and questioned Ian Song.
"I want to try."
Ian Song replied.
"Go ahead, then. We’re leaving!"
Yuchi Hawk sneered, waved his hand, and led the Heavenly Gods away at high speed.
Once they were gone, Ian Song began to break the formation. With a series of incantations, a doorway suddenly appeared in the temple’s formation. Ian Song stepped inside.
The temple beneath the formation was fairly well preserved, and in the main hall stood a statue of a deity.
There was nothing unusual about the statue, so he left the main hall and explored the other chambers.
"Wow, so many divine artifacts!"
Seeing the hall piled high with divine artifacts, Ian Song was surprised. But he quickly realized they were all decayed, their divine light gone—just a heap of scrap.
Then, in another chamber, he found elixirs and divine medicines, but they had all decayed and were unusable.
For a moment, Ian Song was quite disappointed.
He entered the last chamber.
Inside, Ian Song found many divine jade slips. But as soon as he touched them, they all turned to dust.
Ian Song could only sigh helplessly and leave.
After another search, Ian Song arrived at the temple’s backyard, where he found a row of tombstones. Probing with his divine sense, he discovered decayed bones buried beneath each grave.
He turned and left, sighing inwardly at his wasted effort.
Just as he was about to leave, he suddenly sensed he’d overlooked something.
It wasn’t until he left the formation and chased after the Heavenly Gods that he realized: everything in the temple had decayed—so why hadn’t the statue collapsed?
Logically, even divine artifacts couldn’t withstand the erosion of time, so that statue should have fallen long ago.
He turned around and went back, re-entering the temple.
He returned to the main hall and gazed at the statue.
Finally, he stepped forward and reached out to touch the statue, sensing a hidden restriction.
"Alright!"
Ian Song muttered, then began studying the restriction on the statue.
It took him only five minutes to break the restriction.
Probing the statue with his divine sense, Ian Song discovered it was made of supreme-grade divine crystals—at least tens of thousands of them. Most importantly, he found a mysterious jade artifact inside, cut into pieces.
He smashed the statue and retrieved the mysterious jade artifact.
On the back of the jade artifact were mysterious runes, while the front bore three universal divine scripts.
Ian Song put away the shattered statue and left the temple.
An hour later—
He arrived at another set of ruins, where another temple was protected by a formation. He saw some traces—likely left by Yuchi Hawk and the others.
Ian Song entered the temple again and headed straight for the main hall.
Inside, there was another statue—identical to the one he’d found in the previous temple.
After breaking the restriction on the statue, he obtained another mysterious jade artifact.
This jade artifact also bore runes and universal divine script, but the script was different from the previous one.
After that—
He checked several other chambers, but again, everything had decayed.
Leaving the temple,
Ian Song continued onward.
In the third and fourth temples, he found identical statues and retrieved mysterious jade artifacts from each.
But after leaving the fifth temple, he saw a Lower Heavenly God standing not far away.
"Hand over whatever you found inside!"
Greed flickered in the other’s eyes as he spoke in an unquestionable tone.
"There’s nothing."
Ian Song shook his head calmly.
"You’re asking for death!"
With a cold look, the Lower Heavenly God flashed forward, reaching for Ian Song’s throat.
"Scram!"
With a single sword strike, Ian Song sent the Lower Heavenly God flying.
"You?"
Picking himself up, the Lower Heavenly God stared at Ian Song in disbelief. How could a High God send him flying with one blow?
The next moment, still unconvinced, he drew his weapon and attacked Ian Song again.
Ian Song didn’t move. He simply looked at the Lower Heavenly God, who instantly froze in place.
