Close-Quarters Combat

------------

After speeding past the intersection ahead, the red Ferrari kept up its wild pace, quickly turning into a corner by the roadside and coming to a stop. The lights were switched off, and the car disappeared into the darkness of the night.

"Phew... We finally made it. Helen, Minnie, are you both alright?!" After stopping the car, Shawn Young immediately looked back and saw Helen lying on top of Minnie Wang, her delicate body trembling slightly, something clearly wrong. Shawn hurriedly opened the door and got out, moved to Helen’s side for a closer look—he was shocked to see her left shoulder soaked in blood, fresh red liquid seeping from a gash and dripping into the car.

"Oh—Helen, you’re hurt! Where is it? Let me see—" Shawn said anxiously.

"Uh—It’s not serious, I didn’t get shot. It’s just some glass shards cut my shoulder. I’ll be fine after a quick bandage—" Helen said, pressing her shoulder.

"Ah! Helen, you—you’re hurt?! Why didn’t you say anything earlier? You scared me—" Minnie Wang, flustered, was on the verge of tears.

"Minnie, don’t cry yet—they’re catching up!" Shawn suddenly heard the sound of a jeep engine nearby and quickly warned Minnie Wang.

"Uh—they’re not alone, and they’ve got advanced weapons and night vision gear. We’re at a disadvantage now—" Helen said, frowning.

"Hmph, I’ll make sure they never get out of here!" Shawn said coldly, channeling his true energy to activate the ‘Circle Light Divine Technique’. In his palm, he saw two armed white men wearing night vision goggles, speeding this way in their vehicle.

"There are two of them. Helen, head that way and fire a few shots to distract them. I’ll handle the rest!" Shawn quickly instructed.

"Okay—got it—" Helen nodded, grabbed the carbine and got out, quickly hiding behind a big tree by the roadside. Shawn Young patted Minnie Wang gently on the back to comfort her, "Minnie, stay in the car and don't move. I'll take care of them in no time! Trust me!"

"Mm, just—just be careful—" Minnie Wang said with concern, obediently lying on the seat without moving. Shawn finished speaking and jumped out of the car, disappearing into the darkness by the roadside.

Peter drove the jeep in, headlights sweeping across and suddenly spotting the fiery red Ferrari parked at the roadside corner. He immediately called out, "Uh—Jon, get ready! I see the car up ahead—just parked there—"

"Got it. This time, none of them are getting away—" Jon said grimly, picking up his SVD Sniper Rifle and preparing to jump out of the car.

"Bang—Bang—" Suddenly, two gunshots rang out, flames spitting from the woods ahead. Peter and Jon instinctively ducked in the car as bullets whistled past overhead.

"That's a carbine—someone's hiding in the woods! Peter, let's flank them!" Jon, ever the combat expert, quickly came up with a response.

"Alright!" Peter agreed, working in perfect sync with Jon's plan.

Peter used his night vision goggles to peer into the woods, spotting a figure hiding behind a big tree. He signaled Jon to surround, then quietly nudged open the car door with his heel and slipped out sideways. Jon popped the trunk, performed a swift tactical roll to the back of the car, surveyed the terrain, and quickly found the best sniping angle. He set up his SVD Sniper Rifle, waiting patiently—

Peter bent low, moving like a ghost across the road. Using his night vision and advanced infrared life scanner, he quickly found Helen hiding behind the big tree. Peter was delighted. He raised his automatic rifle, sneaking around for a lethal shot from behind.

Suddenly, everything changed—Peter suddenly saw a blinding flash explode in his night vision goggles, brighter than the sun, searing into his eyes. Instantly, his vision went white, and a powerful force smashed into the back of his head. A violent explosion of pain roared through his mind, and before Peter could scream, he collapsed, his automatic rifle falling to the ground. In seconds, he was silent.

Jon waited for Peter to make his move before striking, but after almost two minutes, there was no sign from Peter. Those two minutes felt like two years. Jon sensed something was wrong—Peter would never take this long unless something had gone wrong. The only explanation was that Peter had failed. Jon was shocked; if Peter went down without a sound, their opponent was far stronger than expected. Jon made a snap decision, quickly packing up his SVD Sniper Rifle to retreat, when suddenly a shadow appeared before him.

Jon was startled but didn’t panic. He lunged at the shadow, swinging his SVD Sniper Rifle like a golf club—"Smack—" The shadow raised a hand and struck, a powerful force traveling through the rifle, shaking Jon’s grip and sending the SVD flying onto the road.

Jon finally saw his opponent—it was the ‘impossible-to-kill’ young Chinese man. Jon instantly retreated several steps, reaching for his waist and swiftly drawing a Desert Eagle pistol.

But Shawn Young just snorted coldly, already lunging forward. One hand shot out like lightning for Jon’s throat, the other grabbed Jon’s right wrist. Jon’s reaction was fast, but Shawn was faster—his right fist slammed into Jon’s chest, while his left hand twisted Jon’s wrist in a ‘Mountain-Splitting Strike’—"Crack...Agh!" Jon screamed as Shawn twisted his wrist, breaking it, and snatched the Desert Eagle from his hand.

Jon, despite the pain, didn’t stop moving. He suddenly leapt at Shawn Young, aiming straight for his eyes with a vicious attack. Shawn was briefly stunned but dodged just in time, narrowly avoiding the sudden assault.

Jon let out a strange roar, kicked back and lunged, lowering his body and spreading his arms. In a flash, he wrapped Shawn Young in a tight waist lock and twisted hard—"Bang!" Shawn was thrown to the ground, rolling together with Jon. The Desert Eagle in Shawn’s hand fired into the sky. This move was a killer technique from Russian Sambo.

Jon succeeded and roared, twisting like a viper. His legs shot up at an impossible angle, locking tightly around Shawn Young’s neck. This was the infamous ‘Sleeper Hold’ from Brazilian Gracie Jiu-Jitsu!

Brazilian Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and Russian Sambo are famous in the martial arts world. Israeli special forces adapted them into the deadly ‘Israeli Kill Technique’, designed for rapid enemy elimination. Jon, a former top Israeli special forces operative, naturally mastered this ‘Israeli Kill Technique’!

Shawn Young wasn’t used to such brutal, life-or-death fighting and was caught off guard, giving Jon the advantage. The Israeli ‘Wild Boy’ special forces are world-renowned, ranking among the top three globally for combat power—deadly and relentless, never giving their enemies a chance to breathe!

Jon himself was tall and strong, and after joining that mysterious assassin organization, he kept up kill training year-round. His strength and reflexes far surpassed ordinary killers. With guidance from top masters in the organization, he was even more formidable than most special ops soldiers. He tightened his legs, aiming to strangle Shawn Young with the ‘Sleeper Hold’.

Shawn Young, caught off guard, felt Jon’s legs squeezing his neck with immense force, nearly choking him. In such close-quarters life-or-death combat, he couldn’t spare a hand for Taoist techniques. Shawn quickly focused his Celestial Essence, switching to internal breathing—only then did he survive Jon’s deadly ‘Sleeper Hold’.

Jon grew anxious—he was using all his strength, easily over a thousand kilograms, but Shawn Young was like a monster, impossible to kill. Anyone else would have had their bones and neck snapped long ago!

Jon decided to switch tactics. He loosened his legs and pressed his elbows tight against Shawn Young’s body, ready to deliver a double heavy strike. Shawn seized the chance, lifted the Desert Eagle, and fired without hesitation—"Bang!"

"Aah!!" With a scream and a spray of blood, Jon’s chest was blasted open by the powerful Desert Eagle. The bullet tore right through his torso! His chest was a bloody mess, smoke rising. At such close range, the force sent Jon flying several meters, his head smashing into the jeep’s steel rear door—"Bang!" After the loud crash, Jon’s body went limp, unable to make another sound. He was completely finished.
