Worries Behind the Scenes

2/27/2026

Grandmaster Adrian "Left-Edge" Zuo was a bit surprised that Evan Yang called him master, but thinking about how he had passed the Heaven's Eye Sight to him, it made sense. So Left-Edge didn't stand on ceremony and said, "When I first came here, it was already like this, though there weren't as many bubbles as now. Every time I touched one, more would appear, so eventually I locked myself inside the formation."

"Then that's it. Maybe we can find the exit from these," Evan Yang said.

"Why?" Left-Edge asked curiously.

"It's just a guess. Let's step outside first," Evan led everyone out of the bubble zone, then looked around and added, "Everyone help me check where these bubbles are coming from."

No one understood what Evan meant, but they knew it must be connected, so everyone widened their eyes and stared at their surroundings. Evan also kept watching closely.

The bubbles drifted about, making it hard to tell their origin, but since everyone present was an expert, they could eventually figure it out—it just took some time.

Finally, Left-Edge said, "Over there, east side—there's something odd. Every so often, a bubble appears there and sticks to the others."

Evan looked at it and said, "Got it."

Evan then led everyone to the spot where the bubbles emerged. Sure enough, there was an invisible area—if you didn't look closely, you'd never notice it.

"Everyone, time the interval between bubbles," Evan said. The group nodded and watched the spot where bubbles appeared.

After another bubble appeared, everyone noted the time. When the next one showed up, they'd already calculated the interval. To be safe, they kept checking until they found a pattern. Evan said, "A bubble appears here every half hour, which means we have half an hour to leave."

Everyone nodded, then followed Evan as he rushed into the invisible exit. Darkness surrounded them, and they could only rely on their senses to move forward.

After fifteen minutes, they emerged and saw a huge glowing object ahead—a massive energy sphere. Lord Raksha Darkhand wanted to approach it, but Evan stopped him: "Don't touch it, or the storm outside could intensify."

"The storm outside? Impossible," Darkhand said skeptically. Evan smiled, "Nothing's impossible. Since you entered, the storm has gotten stronger. It's likely because you touched those bubbles. If just the bubbles can trigger such changes, then this sphere is even more dangerous."

Darkhand half-believed, half-doubted, and withdrew his hand. "So what now?"

"Did you notice there's another opening behind this sphere? If I'm right, we should be able to find a way in or out here," Evan said.

"Is it really that simple?" Darkhand asked, not convinced.

"Try it and see," Evan replied with a smile.

Darkhand suspiciously followed Evan, and Grandmaster Left-Edge and Grandmaster Armybreaker followed as well. When they stepped through the opening, they really did arrive in the Chaos World. Seeing the formations they'd set up long ago, Left-Edge and Armybreaker were overjoyed, and both sensed everything they'd left behind in the Chaos World.

Left-Edge laughed, "So that's it. I met you in a place called the Blue World-Realm."

"Yeah, that's right," Evan said, smiling as he saw Left-Edge sense it.

Armybreaker laughed, "Turns out, you learned from a disciple of mine in the Demon-Beast Realm."

Evan was delighted when the two figured it out, but Lord Raksha Darkhand interrupted, "Enough with the chatter. Can we leave or not?"

Evan smiled, "Darkhand, what's the rush?"

"Of course I'm in a rush. What, you want to bully me?" Darkhand sneered.

Evan said, "Then go on your own. Let's see how far you get."

"Oh? So you're not opening the way? Fine, I'll destroy the formation then," Darkhand snorted.

"Stop, you win," Evan sighed.

"Kid, that's more like it," Darkhand sneered at Evan.

Evan glanced at Darkhand, then opened the gap so Darkhand could leave. Evan, Left-Edge, and Armybreaker followed, then sealed the exit behind them.

Outside the passage, Evan brought Left-Edge and Darkhand to Whiteshade and the others. Whiteshade had already noticed Darkhand’s arrival and hurried over, just in time to see Evan and Left-Edge.

As for Left-Edge and Armybreaker, these ancient figures were strangers to everyone present.

Whiteshade asked curiously, "Who are these two?"

Evan smiled, "They are Grandmaster Left-Edge and Grandmaster Armybreaker."

When Evan finished, Whiteshade was stunned. "What?"

"Grandmaster Left-Edge and Grandmaster Armybreaker," Evan repeated. Whiteshade stared at them and greeted respectfully, "Greetings, seniors."

"Alright, that's enough. Thank you for your hard work," Left-Edge said with a smile. Armybreaker nodded, signaling they shouldn't worry too much.

The group then took Left-Edge and Armybreaker aside for a deep discussion. After all, these two were powerful figures, and Evan didn't know their exact strength, so he just listened.

Finally, Whiteshade turned to Evan and asked, "Why did you let Darkhand go?"

Evan smiled, "I wasn't one hundred percent sure I could beat him. If I couldn't handle him, he might destroy the formation. The consequences would be unimaginable."

Hearing the formation was the reason, Whiteshade nodded, "That's right."

At that moment, Left-Edge and Armybreaker stood up. Left-Edge said, "We just got back and have things to handle, so we'll be leaving for now. As for this place, don't worry—if you need us, we'll appear."

Whiteshade was overjoyed to have both grandmasters return, and saw them off. Before leaving, they told Evan to grow quickly, since a great crisis would soon hit the Chaos World and he would be needed.

Evan didn't think their words were a joke. Watching them leave, his heart grew heavy, and he also bid farewell to the others and left.

Left-Edge and Armybreaker were walking together. Armybreaker laughed, "Why did you say that to him too?"

"I was just copying you," Left-Edge replied with a smile.

"Do you really think he can resolve the crisis?" Armybreaker asked. Left-Edge smiled, "You must have sensed it too—he's actually meant to be the sacrificial seed."

"Yeah, I sensed it. But I still feel he won't become a sacrifice. Haven't you noticed? There's something unfathomable about him," Armybreaker said with a smile.

Left-Edge nodded, "That's why I believe he'll be the one to resolve this crisis."

"So, where are you heading now?" Armybreaker asked. Left-Edge smiled, "To the Blue World-Realm, of course."

"I'll go too. Maybe we can find some clues," Armybreaker said with a laugh. Left-Edge nodded, "Yeah, that guy is definitely hiding in the Immortal Realm or one of its smaller worlds. We have to find him—we can't let him keep manipulating the Chaos World."

Armybreaker nodded, "Exactly."

Elsewhere, Lord Raksha Darkhand contacted Lady Raksha. When Lady Raksha heard he was back, she immediately reached out and they quickly met.

"Where exactly did you go? Why couldn't I reach you?" Lady Raksha asked.

"Don't even mention it. I almost couldn't make it back," Darkhand said, frustrated.

"What happened?" Lady Raksha asked curiously. Darkhand explained, "That place was pitch black and full of unpredictable, natural dangers. In the end, I got trapped in a weird pile of bubbles and couldn't get out, so I was stuck there the whole time."

Lady Raksha asked, "And then?"

"Then, that guy showed up—and he actually saved me," Darkhand said with a laugh.

Lady Raksha asked, "Who saved you?"

"Evan, don't you find it strange?" Darkhand asked.

"What? Him? How did he get there?" Lady Raksha asked suspiciously.

Darkhand shook his head, "I have no idea, but he even saved two people."

"Who?" Lady Raksha pressed.

"Grandmaster Left-Edge and Grandmaster Armybreaker," Darkhand replied. Lady Raksha was shocked, "Them?"

"What's wrong?" Darkhand asked, seeing Lady Raksha's reaction. She replied, "They're ancient monsters. If they've appeared, it means the Chaos World isn't peaceful anymore."

"What do you mean?" Darkhand didn't think the two could do much.

"You wouldn't understand. Anyway, rest for now—we'll talk later," Lady Raksha said, then left. The news Darkhand brought felt important, and Lady Raksha knew she had to report it.

Lady Raksha soon entered a secret chamber and contacted her superiors.

"What's wrong? Is there something new?" her master asked.

Lady Raksha replied, "Master, Darkhand has returned."

"Oh? Really? Tell me quickly," her master said. Lady Raksha then explained the news Darkhand brought. After listening, her master frowned, "Evan was there? And those two ancient monsters too."

"Yes," Lady Raksha said.

Her master muttered, "Those two old guys showing up spells trouble."

"What should I do?" Lady Raksha asked.

"They're sure to head to the Immortal Realm—the world Evan was born in. Find a way to stop them," he said.

Lady Raksha frowned, "But their strength..."

"I know they're strong, but I just want you to stop them. Don't confront them directly, and avoid exposing yourself if possible," her master said.
