You Are Blocking General Evan Xiao Again

Seeing her beaming with joy, Evan Xiao's expression finally softened, and he turned and walked away.

Prime Minister Zhu watched this scene with a smile, feeling quite pleased.

He knew that Evan Xiao was very interested in his daughter.

This little test just made him even more certain.

"General!" Queenie Zhu blocked his way again, her face full of anger. "Why did you give it to her? Why give her the Blessing Pouch? She's just an ordinary person, she's not a Spirit Master!"

"That's right!" Jenny Zhu chimed in. "Among everyone here, Queenie has the highest talent! What you're doing isn't fair!"

Evan Xiao glared at them, a wave of annoyance flashing across his face. His expression turned icy as he said, each word crisp and forceful: "You're blocking this general's way—again!"

A frigid, razor-sharp aura blasted forth. Queenie Zhu shuddered, instinctively stumbling back and collapsing into her chair.

Evan Xiao strode back to his seat with his long legs.

Queenie Zhu stared at his back, her face a mix of embarrassment and simmering resentment.

"Hehe!" Laughter came from beside her. "Hope, look at this Blessing Pouch—the peony embroidery is gorgeous! I wonder who made it?"

"I heard this batch of Blessing Pouches was custom-made at the best embroidery shop in town," Hope replied. "They're so lifelike, and the colors are just beautiful!"

"Mm-hmm." Grace shot Queenie Zhu a glance, then smiled sweetly and tucked the Blessing Pouch into her chest.

Queenie Zhu's face turned from green to pale, and she nearly bit through her lip.

...

"Queenie." Jenny Zhu leaned over and whispered a few words into Queenie Zhu's ear.

Queenie Zhu shot Grace a sideways look, then suddenly smiled. "What's the big deal? Later, I'll bring my Spotted Leopard Spirit Beast over and show you all!"

Jenny Zhu also shot Grace a look, a sly, mischievous smile curling on her lips.

Grace didn't notice a thing and kept looking over at her older brother.

At that moment, she suddenly shivered all over.

Her older brother, Jason Zhuo, had somehow already left the Grand Ballroom!

She quickly got up and hurried out.

She asked the servants along the way; Jason Zhuo had headed towards... the restroom.

Not caring about anything else, she chased after him straight toward the restroom.

Luckily, halfway there, Jason Zhuo came back.

"Huh? Grace? What are you doing here?" Jason Zhuo asked.

"It's almost over inside, they're handing out Blessing Pouches, and it's getting noisy," Grace said. "I just came out for some air."

"This way leads to the men's restroom. There are plenty of men coming and going. If you want fresh air, you should go to the back garden," Jason Zhuo said.

Grace was a little flustered, so she simply grabbed his arm and hurried away.

"What's wrong?" Jason Zhuo asked once they reached a quiet spot.

"Big Brother, today, you absolutely must not go anywhere secluded. No matter who asks you, don't go," Grace said.

"Why?" Jason Zhuo asked, confused.

"Just trust me! Stay close to Dad and don't go anywhere else," Grace insisted.

Jason Zhuo frowned. "What's going on? Tell me clearly!"

"I'm worried someone might try to hurt you," Grace said. "But I can't be sure, so... I don't really have any proof."

Jason Zhuo looked at her, deeply worried. He nodded, "Alright, I'll listen to you. I'll stick close to Dad and won't go anywhere if anyone calls me."

Grace smiled and nodded.

"I'll head back first. You can take a stroll, but make sure to go inside soon. It's chilly out here," Jason Zhuo said.
