Seeking Serena Green

Joe Di let out a sigh of relief, and Lucas Pearl and Zane Han did the same.

Suppressing the shock in his heart, Lucas Pearl cupped his fists toward Joe Di. "Daoist Joe, I never imagined your Fate's Loom and arrows would be so formidable. Thank you for your help—if not for you, I would surely have met a grim fate."

Lucas Pearl knew that if he had been taken away by Zach, even a grim fate would have been optimistic. At best, he would have been turned into Zach's servant; more likely, he would have been refined into a puppet, or killed outright once he was no longer useful.

What truly shocked him was the terrifying power of Joe Di's bow and arrows. He even felt a lingering fear, recalling how Joe Di had emerged from the Edge of Time seriously wounded. Otherwise, he might have been shot by Joe Di back then. If struck by one of those arrows forged from Moment's Edge, recovery would be nearly impossible.

"Thank you, Brother Joe, for saving my life." Zane Han had no grievances with Joe Di. While he was awed by Joe Di's terrifying bow and arrows, he also made up his mind to befriend Joe Di at all costs.

What pleased him was that Zach hadn't paid him much attention, so he didn't need to worry about Zach secretly targeting him. If Zach ever set his sights on him, death would be inevitable. Zane Han knew well that his strength was nothing special in the Genesis Universe, so he didn't harbor the ambitions of figures like Zane Edge, Lucas Pearl, or Sean Chen.

He was now certain that Joe Di's bow must have been forged at the Cosmic Edge. Only a bow crafted from the Cosmic Edge could fire arrows made from Moment's Edge.

Not long ago, countless people had bid frantically for the Cosmic Edge, even preparing for a violent conflict. In the end, it was Joe Di who seized it and forged it into Fate's Loom. Clearly, Joe Di must possess a large quantity of Starshards as well.

If he had learned that Joe Di possessed Starshards before Zach arrived, he might have had some thoughts about it. Now, he knew better than to entertain any such ideas. Instead, he hoped to build a good relationship with Joe Di, so that if he ever needed help, Joe Di might lend a hand.

Joe Di understood perfectly well that the reason he was able to use Fate's Loom and Moment's Edge to drive Zach away wasn't because he was truly a match for Zach. Rather, Zach simply didn't want to risk being injured by someone he considered an ant. For someone like Zach, any injury could affect his Dao.
