"So it's down to the last cage, huh?"
Luke Lu stood with his arms crossed, a cold sneer on his face.
His gaze swept across the entire Beast Arena and landed on the third cage at the far end.
That cage hadn't made a single sound from start to finish.
Inside the arena, Boarzilla was soaked from head to toe in python blood, its body a vivid crimson and reeking of a strong, sour stench.
The smell was thick and pungent.
Boarzilla looked utterly vicious, its entire body radiating a deadly aura.
It slowly paced back and forth around the last cage, occasionally letting out low, threatening grunts from its snout, as if sensing the danger lurking inside the third cage.
"You want to walk out of here with the Drunken Cloud Plum? Kid, this time you're really going to regret it." Luke Lu shot a mocking glance at Evan Lin, his expression full of scorn. "Forget one Boarzilla—even three couldn't beat the thing inside that cage."
Luke Lu's eyes were icy cold.
"Remove the cloth! Open the cage!"
As soon as Luke Lu finished speaking, someone yanked off the black cloth covering the last cage. When everyone saw what was inside, they froze in shock.
"Is that... a person?" Some people in the stands couldn't believe their eyes.
"Why would there be a person in there? Is he supposed to fight Boarzilla?" someone asked with a weird look.
"That Boarzilla is massive, and its hide is insanely tough. Even a typical Inner Strength expert might not be able to pierce its skin." Many in the stands stood up, staring at the man inside the cage.
There had never been a person in the cage at the Beast Arena before.
"Huh?" Bryce Gu's eyes swept over.
Inside the cage sat an old man, cross-legged. His aura was faint and weak, and from the outside he looked frail and soft, giving off a gentle impression.
But just by sitting there, the old man made Boarzilla restless—it paced back and forth around the cage, face full of wariness, stomping the ground anxiously.
"This is cheating!" Shawn Shi's face changed.
The old man in the cage didn't seem to have any presence at all, but anyone with a brain could guess—if someone could sit there so calmly, there's no way he wasn't confident he could kill Boarzilla outright!
"Uncle Gu, is this guy really strong?" Yvonne Zhu couldn't tell, so she turned to Bryce Gu beside her.
"He should be." Bryce Gu glanced at the cage, then at Evan Lin, who sat there looking completely sure of himself, and smiled. "Little brother, do you think Boarzilla can win against this man?"
"Of course," Evan Lin nodded slightly.
"Why are you so sure?" Bryce Gu asked curiously.
He had just bet on the three-match streak because he'd figured out Luke Lu's intentions.
Since Luke Lu wasn't about to hand over the Drunken Cloud Plum so easily, whoever was in the third cage had to be someone who could kill Boarzilla effortlessly.
"If I want it to win, it has to win."
Evan Lin's calm words were full of arrogant confidence.
Hearing this, Yvonne Zhu rolled her eyes. "So full of yourself! Who do you think you are?"
Inside the Beast Arena.
The cage was already open.
The old man sitting cross-legged in the cage slowly opened his eyes.
He stood up slowly, walked out of the cage with his hands clasped behind his back, and looked calmly at Boarzilla not far away.
Finally, Boarzilla couldn't stand its anxiety any longer. It roared in fury and charged straight at the old man.
Its sharp tusks were still stained with fresh blood.
Boarzilla's eyes were cold as it stared at the old man, and just as it got close, its tusks suddenly swung upward, trying to gut him in one move.
"Beast."
The old man snorted coldly, lifted one foot, and delivered what looked like a casual side kick to Boarzilla's head.
Boarzilla's huge body froze for a moment, then was suddenly sent flying.
Boom!
Boarzilla rolled through the air for a long time before slamming into the wall at the edge of the arena, leaving a shallow mark.
"Holy crap! That old guy... is he a human weapon or something?" The crowd in the stands gasped at the sight.
"How much force did that kick take? That old dude's definitely an Inner Strength expert! I just can't tell if he's mid-stage or late-stage!" someone exclaimed.
"At least late-stage Inner Strength. No way a mid-stage could kick Boarzilla that far. He might even be peak or great perfection!" A group of people stared, eyes blazing.
"This round is locked in!"
Some people shouted excitedly.
Looking at it now, the old man could kill Boarzilla any second.
Boarzilla struggled on the ground for a while before finally coming to its senses and slowly getting up.
"Too bad you didn't come a few days earlier. If you had, Medicine King Valley wouldn't have gotten involved." Luke Lu crossed his arms.
He'd already decided to sell the Drunken Cloud Plum to Medicine King Valley, planning to take it off the points list once today's Beast Arena match ended.
But he hadn't expected a freak who could win three bets in a row to appear.
Before the third round started, Luke Lu met with the Medicine King Valley Guardian to make sure nothing went wrong.
The old man was straightforward—he just sat right down in the cage.
"Victor Frost, Guardian of Medicine King Valley, has been at late-stage Inner Strength—great perfection—for years, only a step away from the Vajra realm. Killing Boarzilla is nothing to him—even a few more wouldn't matter." Luke Lu felt reassured.
There was no suspense in the third round.
Victor Frost walked slowly toward Boarzilla. The beast struggled to its feet, roaring angrily and charging again.
Bang!
Another kick.
This time, Victor Frost's kick drove Boarzilla straight into the wall, blood spurting from its mouth and nose.
"Boarzilla is hurt!"
"Ha ha ha! This old man's got some serious power! That kick looked light, but the force behind it was terrifying!"
Seeing Boarzilla bleeding, the crowd erupted in excitement.
Neither the leopard nor the python could hurt Boarzilla, but this old man did it with ease!
"I'll smash your skull—let's see how arrogant you are then."
Victor Frost's eyes were calm as he walked toward Boarzilla, fist clenched, ready to end it in one blow.
"Well, let's see how you win this time!" Yvonne Zhu glanced at Evan Lin, lips curled smugly. "Now you know who's going to win, right?"
"Boarzilla."
Evan Lin replied calmly.
"You just won't admit defeat, huh." Yvonne Zhu frowned, clearly annoyed—she thought Evan Lin couldn't handle losing.
"I told you, if I want it to win, it has to win."
A sharp light flashed in Evan Lin's eyes.
