An Unexpected Idea

1/19/2026

Early that morning, Evan Chu left his room. After several days, he'd certainly enjoyed the blessings of a harem. When he arrived at Frostbane Sect's martial field, plenty of disciples were already there for morning training.

Many disciples were sparring with each other, and every so often, a thunderous boom would echo from spatial ripples. Evan felt deeply gratified—he'd never imagined Frostbane Sect would grow to this level.

"Dad! Please help me with my martial arts. I've been stuck at Ninth-Layer Saint Martial Realm for ages, but I just can't break through—do you have any advice?" Lynn Chu's voice called out to Evan.

Evan turned to look at Lynn and laughed, "You want me to guide your martial arts, but what you really want is to learn my Immortal-Realm cultivation method, right? If you truly want to practice it, I can teach you a simple method. When you get a chance to ascend to the Immortal Realm, I'll let you learn the stronger ones."

"After all, this world has no ambient Immortal Essence, so cultivating here is passive and difficult. Relying on absorbing energy from Immortal Stones to break through is really tough. Do you understand what I mean?"

"Dad, I understand. I just want to learn Immortal-Realm techniques so I can improve faster, break through my realm, and ascend to the Immortal Realm to be with you." Lynn Chu said.

"If my sister gets to learn, then of course I have to learn too! Dad, you can't favor your daughter over your son—I am your eldest, and the one with the strongest inheritance rights." Ethan Chu appeared on the martial field just then.

Looking at his now-grown children, Evan felt a complicated mix of emotions. In terms of appearance, he was barely older than them, but they were truly his son and daughter.

"You can both learn, all right? Let's see who ascends to the Immortal Realm first. Whoever makes it first, I'll give them a top-tier magic treasure—a weapon so powerful, if unleashed at full force, it could wipe out the entire Divine Continent in an instant." Evan said.

The two of them were stunned—such a powerful item was beyond anything they'd ever heard of, completely outside the bounds of common sense.

"Dad, just what kind of magic treasure is that powerful? And what exactly is a magic treasure?" Lynn Chu asked.

"It's a very special kind of item, with power you can't even imagine. Once you ascend to the Immortal Realm, you'll understand. For now, I'll teach you the simplest Immortal-Realm cultivation method—it's one I prepared just for you two," Evan said.

He then took out a jade tablet. The tablet contained the technique Evan had specially prepared for them—just a glance with divine sense, and they'd instantly understand it.

"Thank you, Dad. We won't let you down," Lynn Chu said.

Ethan and Lynn immediately took the jade tablet and left, heading straight for the underground secret chamber to start practicing the Immortal-Realm method. Even though they knew Evan would leave soon, the chance to cultivate such a technique was too tempting—if they could ascend, they'd be reunited with their father.

Evan strolled slowly across the martial field. Before long, his wives arrived too. Now, after taking the eternal-youth pills, they looked just as they had when Evan left a century ago, stunning all the Frostbane Sect disciples. Everyone knew it had to be because Evan had returned.

The ability to make people instantly young again left everyone in awe—they basically treated him as a living god.

"Lin Feng, I saw Lynn and Ethan come to you just now. What did they say to you, and why did they leave so suddenly?" Selena Yale asked.

"Nothing much—I just gave them an Immortal-Realm cultivation method. Now they'll be able to improve much faster and ascend sooner. You all have to work hard too. In a few days, I need to make a trip to the Netherworld. After all, you have sisters there—I can't favor one group over the other," Evan said.

The women all knew about Evan's Netherworld wives. They were sure those women were just as eager for Evan to appear at their side—just like the joy and disbelief they felt when he returned to them.

"Lin Feng, you're a Primordial Dragon Bloodline—you're a nine‑clawed Golden Dragon. So by rights, Ethan should have Golden Dragon blood too. Why can't he transform into dragon form? Even Lynn can't do it. We honestly don't know if they really have Golden Dragon blood in their bodies," Selena Yale said.

Evan had honestly never thought about this. He was a Primordial Dragon Bloodline, his power overwhelming. His son and daughter should've inherited it, but Selena's words left him at a loss.

"Maybe it's time to awaken Ethan and Lynn's bloodline and see what happens. Have you ever taken them to Divine Dragon Valley? Some bloodline powers need to be activated before they show up—this is really important. If you hadn't reminded me, I'd have forgotten all about it," Evan said.

All the women looked at Evan, only half-understanding what he meant. He'd been back at Frostbane Sect for some time, but hadn't seen his parents—this struck him as odd. He'd wanted to ask, and even noticed their absence back in the main hall.

He used his divine sense to check their private courtyard, but found no one there. In the past few days, he'd been so busy with his wives that he'd forgotten all about it. Now, he felt like a truly unfilial son.

"Where did my parents go? Why haven't I seen them since I got back?" Evan asked.

"Now you care about your parents? They went to the Heavenly Dragon Empire to visit Luna Chu and the others. They've been gone for years. With Mom's cultivation, do you really think anyone could bully them?" Sima Jingyi said.

"I mean, did Mom ever take her grandkids to Divine Dragon Valley, or mention anything about it?" Evan asked.

"No, not at all. Mom and Dad usually stay in their courtyard and rarely go out. Lynn and Ethan sometimes visit, and we do too, but we never stay long. Mom likes peace and quiet and doesn't want to be disturbed," Dream Princess said.

At that moment, Evan had a bold idea. Back when he advanced, it took him only a little over ten years to reach Ninth-Layer Saint Martial Realm. But now, after a hundred years, Ethan and Lynn were only at Eighth and Ninth-Layer Saint Martial Realm. That was hard to accept.

Of all the women, Selena Yale was now the strongest—already at Sixth-Layer Venerable Martial Realm, a top expert on the Divine Continent. The others had also broken through to the Venerable Martial Realm.

"Xuan'er, go call Ethan and Lynn out from the secret chamber. We're taking them to Divine Dragon Valley. I don't believe their cultivation is really so limited—it must be because their bloodline hasn't awakened. I'm taking them to Divine Dragon Valley to awaken their bloodline," Evan said.
