Morak, that Evan Yang—what level is his strength now?" Demoncloud Demon Lord asked.
"No matter what strength he has, he can't possibly be an Immortal Sovereign. If he hadn't had that artifact protecting him back then, I guarantee I would've crippled him," Morak said.
"But if that's the case, doesn't owning that artifact mean he can protect himself anytime?" Demoncloud Demon Lord worried that with the artifact, Evan Yang basically had a talisman.
Morak shook his head. "That kind of artifact can only be used by someone at the Immortal Sovereign level, after all."
"But didn't he use it? And he escaped your range!" Demoncloud Demon Lord retorted.
"That was just a short distance. But to be safe, if you see him, attack first—don't give him a chance to use that artifact," Morak said.
"That's true." Demoncloud Demon Lord nodded.
After that, the group arrived at Devil's Cliff Cavern, ready to keep researching the Fiend Realm. Evan Yang, sensing those strong auras approaching, was startled: "What's going on? They're back so soon."
Realizing the Demon Lords had returned, Evan Yang quickly searched for clues about the Fiend Realm, but still found nothing. With no other option, he stayed hidden inside the Strange Spiral Shell, while those people flew toward the void.
"Got it. Follow them." Seeing the direction they flew, Evan Yang muttered to himself.
These Demon Lords never expected anyone to come here, so they paid no attention to a small object floating nearby, assuming it was just a piece of trash.
They arrived at a light ring about the size of a palm, but inside it was a whole other world. The Demon Lords entered one after another.
Evan Yang followed closely behind. Once inside, he saw a familiar scene—it was the Fiend Realm.
"Amazing, the Fiend Realm has become as small as a palm," Evan Yang muttered to himself. He then found a deserted spot, slipped out quietly, and changed his appearance.
As long as he didn't actively meet the Demon Lords, they would never imagine Evan Yang was inside the Fiend Realm.
"Luckily, nothing here has changed." Seeing that the Demon Lords hadn't caused any serious destruction to the locals, Evan Yang muttered to himself, then hurried toward the Fiend Palace to check if they had really gone to the Demon-Fiend Underpalace.
The Demon-Fiend Underpalace was an ancient sacred palace, rumored to have been created by a powerful devil. But that person vanished, leaving only this spatial artifact, which can't be removed since it's already fused with the Fiend Realm.
Yet these Demon Lords are unwilling to give up. Every time they come here, they try to figure out how to separate the Demon-Fiend Underpalace from the Fiend Realm and turn it into an artifact.
Evan Yang had many people in the Fiend Palace, so if he wanted to know about past events, he could contact them to find out.
After thinking it over, Evan Yang remembered someone suitable: Logan Frost, someone he met years ago in the Fiend Realm, now a deputy captain who helped Evan lead their original team.
Logan Frost never expected Evan Yang to come find him. At this moment, Logan wasn't in the Fiend Palace but elsewhere—since the Fiend Palace had been occupied by Devil Realm forces, everyone from the palace had left, and only Devil Realm people could enter.
When Logan Frost received Evan Yang's message, he looked surprised. "He's back."
He hurried to the place Evan Yang mentioned. At this moment, Evan was a stranger to him, until Evan saw Logan Frost and called him into a private room.
"What? You don't recognize me?" Evan Yang said with a smile.
Seeing Evan Yang's restored face, Logan Frost smiled, "You—how did you get in here?"
"You mean the Fiend Realm?" Evan Yang asked.
"Yes, of course the Fiend Realm. Right now, no one can get out, and apart from Devil Realm people, no one else has entered." Logan Frost said.
"So what's the situation in the Fiend Palace now?" Evan Yang asked curiously.
"Everyone from the Fiend Palace has left; there aren't many people inside now, and the whole Fiend Realm is pretty chaotic—random killings happen often and no one manages it." Logan Frost said.
"What about the new Palace Lord?" Evan Yang asked.
"She and several women suddenly disappeared one day," Logan Frost said.
Looks like they really went to that place, Evan Yang muttered to himself.
"What's wrong?" Logan Frost asked, seeing Evan Yang lost in thought.
"Nothing. So, can we enter the Demon-Fiend Underpalace now?" Evan Yang asked.
"I heard the Devil Realm people sealed it; we can't get in," Logan Frost said.
"Alright, got it," Evan Yang replied.
"You want to go in?" Logan Frost asked, seeing the look on Evan Yang's face.
"Yeah, I plan to take a look," Evan Yang said.
"I'm afraid that's impossible. It seems Devil Realm people have come again," Logan Frost said.
"They leave once every three months, don't they?" Evan Yang said.
"How do you know that?" Logan Frost asked in surprise.
"I came in from outside, and right now this Fiend Realm is located somewhere in the Devil Realm, so you can't get in or out," Evan Yang explained.
"That's really strange. Why does the Devil Realm insist on messing with the Fiend Realm?" Logan Frost complained. Life used to be fine, but now everything was worse than ever.
"No idea. Maybe they want something from the Demon-Fiend Underpalace," Evan Yang said.
"What's in the Demon-Fiend Underpalace? Isn't it just for cultivation? They're already strong enough—who knows what use the Demon-Fiend Underpalace is to them," Logan Frost sighed.
"Whatever. When the three months are up, I'll go in," Evan Yang said.
"Then we'll go with you," Logan Frost said.
"No need. It's too dangerous here," Evan Yang said.
"It's not that dangerous. Why not let us go with you?" Logan Frost insisted.
Evan Yang shook his head. He already had to be cautious around the Demon Lords—bringing them along would only make things worse. So he shook his head and said, "Those people are way too strong for you to handle. It's better if you stay put."
"Alright then," Logan Frost said, seeing Evan Yang didn't need him.
Seeing Logan Frost's expression, Evan Yang said, "Show me around the Fiend Realm, then."
Logan Frost nodded. Since Evan Yang wanted to wait three months, Logan decided to stay with him for the whole cycle.

After visiting a few places, Evan Yang felt the Fiend Realm had changed noticeably—it was getting darker, and he kept smelling some strange, foul odor. At first, Evan thought it was just rotting meat or vegetables, so he ignored it.
But after a while, Evan Yang frowned and said, "Strange, why does this stench linger no matter how far we walk?"
"Oh, that smell comes from a certain place," Logan Frost explained.
"What place?" Evan Yang asked curiously.
"Corpse-Refiner Mountain," Logan Frost said.
"Corpse-Refiner Mountain?" Evan Yang found the name creepy and oddly familiar.
"It's just a mountain, but it always gives off that stench—it's almost like the whole Fiend Realm is tainted by it," Logan Frost said.
"Hasn't anyone tried to investigate?" Evan Yang asked.
"Of course they have, but nobody ever comes back. That place is now considered a danger zone—no one dares go near," Logan Frost said.
"That's really creepy. How did the Fiend Realm end up like this?" Evan Yang muttered to himself.
"There are plenty of strange things in the Fiend Realm. I heard some non-human thing has been killing people everywhere, making the place even more chaotic," Logan Frost said.
"Is that true?" Evan Yang looked skeptical.
"Yeah, that's how things are. Now, a lot of people would rather die than go out, but for cultivators like us, we're used to living on the edge," Logan Frost replied.
Evan Yang found it all very strange. Just then, terrified screams came from up ahead. He and Logan Frost exchanged a glance and rushed over, only to see a man covered in blood fleeing for his life, while another lay on the ground, half his body bitten off.
People around them started whispering that it was that damned thing out hunting again. Hearing this, Evan Yang turned to Logan Frost and said, "Wait here. I'll go take a look."
With that, Evan Yang flashed forward and chased after the creature. Soon, he got a good look at it—it looked human, but its eyes were lifeless, and when it saw Evan, it lunged at him like it wanted to tear him apart.
Evan Yang moved in a flash and unleashed a burst of fire, burning most of the creature's body, but it still didn't snap out of it. Evan thought for a moment, then decided to try lightning—after all, lightning has always been said to ward off evil.
He wanted to see if the mindless person before him was possessed.
A crackling bolt of lightning struck down, making the person tremble before fainting. Evan Yang checked him and found his body was poisoned and, even worse, controlled by some strange force. "I need to remove this force first," Evan thought, then tried to surround the man with a formation to cut off his connection to the outside world.
When the man finally woke up, he looked at Evan Yang in shock. "Who are you?"
"Who I am doesn't matter. What's important is, why were you being controlled? And why were you devouring people?" Evan Yang asked.
"What? I was devouring people?" The man was shocked, then checked his hands and face, finding blood and bits of flesh.
"Don't panic. Just tell me what happened," Evan Yang said.
"I—I just went to Corpse-Refiner Mountain, that's all. After that, I don't remember anything," the man said.
"Corpse-Refiner Mountain?" Evan Yang muttered, feeling the situation was bizarre. He decided to investigate the mountain himself. After letting the man go, he returned to the place where he had agreed to meet Logan Frost.
"You're back! How did it go? Did you catch it?" Logan Frost asked.
"I caught it," Evan Yang replied.
"Where is it?" Logan Frost asked curiously.
"I let it go," Evan Yang answered.
"What? You let it go? How could you! That thing is dangerous," Logan Frost exclaimed.
"No, it's just a person, but he was being controlled by a strange force, forced to do things he didn't want to do," Evan Yang said.
"Controlled by a strange force? What's going on?" Logan Frost asked in shock and confusion.
