Draining the Blood of a Thousand

1/5/2026

This bar was called Blood Mist Bar. It was pretty famous in this small Italian town—even though the town was thousands of kilometers from the Blood Clan’s real Holy Court, there were still tons of Blood Clan gathered here. Judging by the way Primeval Heavenwood was reacting, their blood quality was actually pretty decent.

Right now, as Ryan Ling walked in, everyone sitting inside stood up. Quite a few people started whispering to each other.

“That guy’s Chinese. What a powerful aura! The Blood King’s been hunting down Chinese lately—he’s already found almost everyone he could, but we’re still nowhere near our quota of a hundred. We’ve only caught, what, like ten? This dude’s energy alone is worth a thousand regular Chinese!”

“No kidding, this guy’s legit. Look at that skin—so fresh and smooth. And his power’s gotta be at least Saint Realm or higher. If we send him up to the Blood Empress, she’ll totally be satisfied, maybe even reward us big time!”

“Yeah, for real! We totally lucked out. Looks like Blood Mist Bar is about to hit the big time—if the Blood Empress takes a liking to us, we’ll have it made!”

......

At that moment, a bunch of Blood Clan folks in the bar were chatting away—one comment here, one snark there. Their voices were low, but every word still reached Ryan’s ears.

“These idiots actually think they can wrap us up like dumplings? Dream on!” sneered the Ghost Elder inside Ryan. Clearly, these guys had no clue their death sentences were already signed.

“Come on, ladies! Didn’t you want to buy me a drink? Bring it on!” Ryan didn’t hesitate at all—he grabbed two gorgeous vampires, making them squeal on the spot.

“You—you brute!” A Blood Clan beauty next to them instantly shrieked, clearly trying to grab Ryan.

But before she could even react, Ryan had already grabbed her by the hair.

“You little minx, calling me names? You must have a death wish!” Ryan snapped, smacking her hard across the face. The vampire beauty went flying, and instantly all the Blood Clan girls around him bared their fangs.

“Wow, so dominant, handsome!” At that moment, a stunning thirty-something strolled over, eyes smoldering at Ryan. She picked up a wine glass and grinned, “Handsome, let me buy you a drink—but let’s do it my way!”

The gorgeous woman held the wine in her mouth, then pointed at her lips—obviously telling Ryan to kiss her and suck out the wine from her mouth.

“Damn, these Blood Clan women are seriously thirsty!” Ghost Elder couldn’t help but yell inside Ryan.

“Thirsty? More like asking for trouble!” Ryan didn’t hesitate—he kissed her right then and there.

Instantly, the Blood Clan all around started screaming, “Drain him! Suck him dry!”

The shouts rose and fell, a tidal wave of noise threatening to drown Ryan.

But just as they were yelling, Ryan suddenly inhaled hard—the sexy woman’s face went ghost-white, and all her blood started pouring wildly into Ryan’s body.

In an instant, every Blood Clan member nearby was left completely stunned.

They're all top-tier bloodsuckers, and no human has ever drained a vampire before—especially not a beauty like her, who's a big shot. She's drained hundreds of men herself, but now with Ryan, she can't even defend herself!

Even Lee Min-ho was stunned—what kind of trick did Ryan use? His bloodsucking power was even stronger than the Blood Clan!

In the blink of an eye, that gorgeous woman was drained completely—not a drop left!

“Get him! Surround him!” The other Blood Clan men and women instantly bared their huge fangs, at least a hundred of them closing in on Ryan.

“You want to die!” Ryan didn’t hesitate. Primeval Heavenwood inside the Demon-Snaring Bowl sprang into action, its countless roots snaking out like devil claws to entangle all the Blood Clan men and women.

All around, the Blood Clan screamed in agony, their bodies exploding in a bloody mess. And every drop of blood was instantly sucked clean by Ryan!

“Th-this…” Even Lee Min-ho was dumbstruck. When Ryan’s blood-red eyes turned to him, he dropped to his knees, begging for mercy.

“With guts like that, no wonder South Korea’s so useless!” Ryan shot him a glare. This time, Primeval Heavenwood was clearly in charge—it was even more aggressive than Ryan, getting super excited every time it saw Blood Clan. In the blink of an eye, it sucked up all the blood and flesh from over a hundred vampires.

With that, Primeval Heavenwood’s branches and leaves grew wildly, absorbing spiritual energy like crazy—more than it ever had before. It was insane!

“Awesome, Ryan! The Blood Clan really is prime fertilizer. If Primeval Heavenwood keeps sucking at this pace, it’ll have enough spiritual energy for you to reach late Nascent Soul—maybe even peak!” Ghost Elder shouted, clearly excited.

I didn’t expect these Blood Clan to be so useful—damn, if I drain hundreds tonight, I might hit late Nascent Soul by morning! Ryan was totally pumped.

Just as they were celebrating, Ryan heard voices behind the bar. He tensed up, yanked open the back door, and found seven or eight Chinese people—one of them a woman, sweet-faced and super cute.

Ryan didn’t hesitate—he freed them right away. Clearly, they’d been captured by the Blood Clan and dragged into the bar.

“Who are you guys?” Ryan asked, eyeing the weaker woman. The others looked ordinary, but she seemed special—she had a powerful aura, though she was suppressing it.

“We’re just locals—regular Chinese folks!” the men shouted.

“Alright, you’re safe now—run for your lives!” As soon as Ryan said it, the men bolted, but the woman stayed behind.

“Why aren’t you leaving?” Ryan asked her.

“I’m Sherry Long. I want revenge—I’ll wipe out the Blood Clan and avenge the Sky-Dragon Sect!” Though Sherry looked fragile, her words were fierce.

“Sky-Dragon Sect?” Ryan was startled and quickly glanced at Lee Min-ho.

Lee Min-ho clearly knew this place better than Ryan. He quickly explained, “Master Ryan, the Sky-Dragon Sect is a Chinese sect based in Italy, with some influence in neighboring countries. But lately, the Blood Clan has been hunting Chinese for blood, and the sect master of Sky-Dragon was just killed...”

Before Lee could finish, Sherry Long gritted her teeth and shouted, “He was my father! I’ll avenge him!”

“Alright, I’ll help you!” Ryan agreed without hesitation.

“If you help me, I’ll do anything for you!” Sherry Long trembled and knelt before Ryan.

“Oh really?” Ryan smiled at Sherry Long. “Then first, gather the remaining Sky-Dragon Sect members and help me with something!”

“What do you need? Just say the word!” Sherry steadied herself.

“Help me find out how to break the Blood Clan’s blood rune curse—the faster the better. If you can do it, I’ll avenge your father!” Ryan said decisively. The blood rune technique was clearly a Blood Clan secret; these low-level vampires wouldn’t know it.

“Blood rune?” Sherry nodded and got ready to leave.

Just then, a lot of footsteps sounded outside.

“Master Ryan, the rest of the Blood Clan in town are here—there’s at least a thousand of them!” Lee Min-ho shouted.

“I’ll fight them!” Sherry Long shouted.

“No need—you’d just be throwing your life away. I’ll handle them. You go do what you need to!” Ryan said, unfazed by the thousand vampires, and strode out boldly.

“Mayor, this punk killed over a hundred of us!”

“Chinese bastard! How dare you—kill him!”

In an instant, more than a thousand Blood Clan charged at him...
