He Is Not Fighting Alone

1/5/2026

"Just a coincidence—stop him!" The Experimental High School coach panicked when he saw this and immediately shouted at the top of his lungs.

At his shout, several defenders rushed over. They were all well-trained players, their tackles absolutely ruthless, but weirdly enough, no matter how hard they tried to block him, the ball stayed glued to Ryan Ling’s feet. Just like that, he actually brought the ball into the penalty area.

In that instant, everyone from Harbor City High jumped up from the stands.

Principal Tony Zhang clenched his teeth, and the coach who used to look down on Ryan Ling looked like his eyes were about to pop out.

It was like, in the depths of despair, Ryan Ling had delivered a sliver of hope.

Right then, with a loud "boom," the ball crashed into the net, changing the score to one to three.

In an instant, the previously dead-silent stadium exploded. The stands were packed with Harbor City High people, all of whom had been on the verge of a breakdown, but now that things had turned around, everyone was desperate to let out their emotions.

It wasn’t just them—even the teachers, Tony Zhang included, all roared in unison.

"Ryan Ling—who’d have thought he was such a soccer ace? The kid’s been nothing but a highlight reel lately!"

"Exactly! I always thought he was just some average kid, but now it looks like he’s just been keeping a low profile, hiding his skills and never fighting for attention. People like him are bound for greatness!"

"Exactly! He was on the field for less than half a minute before scoring. Honestly, that goal is practically revolutionary for our whole school—totally priceless. Long live Ryan Ling!"

At that moment, it wasn’t just the students—even the teachers started chanting, "Long live Ryan Ling!" The whole stadium’s mood was set on fire by him.

Kickoff at midfield. The match continued.

Experimental High School had possession. Their offense and defense had been getting lazy since the teams were so uneven, but after Ryan Ling’s goal, their attack picked up. Harbor City High fell back to defend, but Experimental High’s forwards were seriously skilled.

After a series of passes, the ball was closing in on the penalty area. The goalkeeper swallowed hard, sweating bullets, and the defenders—who honestly sucked—got knocked down almost instantly.

On the other side, the Experimental High coach gritted his teeth and yelled, "You scored one lucky goal and think you’ve won? Make it 4–1 right now! Show them how strong we are!"

Anyone who knew soccer could tell: in a matchup this lopsided, scoring even one goal was a miracle. Beating Experimental High was basically a pipe dream.

Right then, an Experimental High player saw his chance and blasted the ball toward the bottom corner of the goal. The goalie jumped with all his might, but—embarrassingly—he guessed the wrong direction. The Experimental High forwards were already celebrating, no doubt about the outcome.

But out of nowhere, Ryan Ling—rocking his jeans—leapt up. No one knew what trick he pulled, but somehow, like it was fate, he managed to block the shot.

The whole stadium went wild—Ryan Ling had saved the day again! He instantly grabbed the ball and tore down the field at a speed that defied belief, charging solo into enemy territory.

"Stop him, you guys! Stop him!" The Experimental High coach shouted again, but it was like the ball was glued to Ryan Ling’s foot—there was just no way to take it from him.

At this point, Ryan Ling wasn’t even playing soccer—he was practically dancing. With every move, he slipped past their players, the ball looping around and always landing back at his feet. His footwork left everyone stunned.

The Experimental High players were totally dumbfounded. Their big, tough defenders couldn’t stop him at all—they were just getting played like monkeys.

And just like that, Ryan Ling somehow brought the ball into the penalty area again. Everyone from Harbor City High clenched their fists and held their breath, staring in disbelief and praying for another miracle.

Suddenly—boom! Ryan Ling broke through Experimental High’s goal again, drilling the ball into the trickiest corner. The goalie dove like crazy, even ripped his pants, but still couldn’t stop it.

Two to three! Just two minutes into the second half, a match that seemed hopeless was suddenly flipped upside down. With Ryan Ling, the emergency sub, leading the charge, Harbor City High’s soccer team was reborn. Everyone mobbed Ryan—he’d gone from an overlooked nobody to the team’s number one star.

Principal Tony Zhang shouted, "Heaven hasn’t abandoned us!" Now, every grade and every class was chanting Ryan Ling’s name. With two goals in a row, he was the hero of the whole school.

Now it was Experimental High’s turn to panic. Their big-bellied principal stormed onto the field and ripped into the coach, demanding to know what he was doing. The coach was already sweating buckets, hurriedly blaming it on a fluke and swearing it wouldn’t happen again—they’d win for sure.

Kickoff at midfield, match resumed. Everyone’s eyes were glued to the field. If they could keep up the momentum, there was a real shot at tying the score. For Harbor City High, this was historic.

But Harbor City High knew, and so did Experimental High: at first, nobody paid any attention to Ryan Ling, just a random sub who was there to fill the numbers. Even after he scored once, their defense wasn’t all that tight.

But now, four or five players were swarming around Ryan Ling, giving him zero chance to get near the ball. It was a dirty tactic, but it worked—he was totally boxed in.

Minute by minute, time ticked away. Experimental High’s new strategy was: forget scoring, just shut down Ryan Ling. Twenty minutes went by like this; the score was still two to three. The players were dead tired, and if this kept up, the score might not change at all before the match ended.

At that moment, both teams clenched their fists. Principal Tony Zhang was feeling the pressure again—they were still behind, and even with those two miracle goals, if they couldn’t tie it up, he’d have to kneel to the other side. Harbor City High’s pride was still on the line.

Just as both sides hit peak nerves, Ryan Ling found a gap and squeezed through the human wall, shouting, "Pass it here!"

Suddenly, the ball—which had been at the opponent’s feet—rolled right over to him, like it was magic. Everyone was stunned; it was pure genius.

But the change happened so fast, and the game was moving at lightning speed. As soon as Ryan Ling got the ball, he charged straight for the penalty area. The Experimental High coach started yelling again: "Stop him! Stop him!"

And this time, the shouts actually worked—a bunch of players closed in immediately. Their teamwork was solid, and they managed to block Ryan Ling outside the box.

It was a dangerous moment. Ryan Ling’s footwork was amazing, but one guy couldn’t fight off a whole crowd going all-in, fouls be damned. Just then, he spotted an opening and fired off a shot—a rocket of a volley, world-class stuff. The ball shot toward the goal like it had a turbo engine.

And somehow, the ball went in!

Three to three! Harbor City High had miraculously tied the game in the second half!

The whole stadium went nuts!

Every Harbor City High student screamed themselves hoarse, and Principal Tony Zhang was shouting with excitement.

Ryan Ling was the absolute center of attention. People were chanting his name—his whole class, too. Until now, most classmates weren’t impressed with him, but at this moment, Ryan was a hero in their eyes.

"System prompt: The living beings in your jurisdiction admire you greatly. Reputation +200. Congratulations! The system will expand your jurisdiction when the time is right!"

The system chimed in, and Ryan Ling just smiled. One class was way too small—right now, his whole class was getting along under his watch, even the two biggest troublemakers, Kevin Lee and Fatty Lowe, were behaving. It was definitely time to level up his jurisdiction.

But that thought flashed by—right now, the match was only tied, not won. With about ten minutes left, Ryan Ling had to seize the chance to score again.

The match resumed, and Experimental High School now fielded their strongest lineup.

Their goal was to score again, but Ryan Ling was now using his Wish‑Bound Telekinesis Art to the max.

It was like the ball had grown legs, constantly rolling toward Ryan Ling. No matter how the opponents tried to control it, as soon as Ryan moved to intercept, the ball was instantly at his feet.

Even when half the Experimental High team tried to steal the ball from Ryan Ling, they just couldn’t do it.

For a moment, even the referees and professional soccer folks were blown away by Ryan Ling’s performance. The city’s soccer team was already plotting how to recruit this genius player.

But right then, one Experimental High player—face dark with rage—suddenly lunged at Ryan Ling with a brutal kick, like he was trying to break his leg. The move was so vicious it looked like kung fu. The crowd instantly shouted, "Ryan, watch out!"

Ryan saw it coming. He dodged fast and instantly used his Wish‑Bound Telekinesis Art to send a sharp stone flying, nailing the guy’s knee.

If the guy was out to break Ryan’s leg, of course Ryan was going to fight back.

In a flash, that ruthless player collapsed, screaming in pain.

The Experimental High coach shouted about a foul, but with everyone watching, all they saw was the guy trying to wreck Ryan. The ref wasn’t blind—he just signaled for the game to go on.

With only two or three minutes left, the ball was back at Ryan Ling’s feet. He charged toward the penalty area, and the whole stadium started chanting his name again...
