Dragon Scale with a Hole
Lily Bai, furious and embarrassed, stormed toward him.
But suddenly, with no warning at all—just a Rune Master's instinct—Lily Bai sensed danger approaching and shouted, "Watch out!"
Her warning barely finished, a sharp sword had already pierced into his back.
Wait—no! It wasn't his back!
It was the back of a red-robed man who had suddenly emerged from his body.
He shielded Sean Shaw, taking the sword for him—and grabbed the invisible attacker on the other side of the blade.
Sean reacted instantly, divine power erupting as he swept his sword sideways—forcing the attacker to appear, dripping blood.
It was Prince Asher Xiao.
Sean stared at him, completely expressionless.
"You... you..." Prince Asher Xiao, badly wounded, kept stumbling backward.
Sean bound him with the Immortal Binding Rope and stuffed him into a Life-pouch.
......
So, they'd calculated that Sean would definitely try to stop Lily Bai—and came to ambush him.
But their plan failed.
Prince Asher Xiao wasn’t talented in most areas, but his Divine Sense was freakishly sharp and broad.
He was sure Sean would show up, so he used his Divine Sense to scan the area—and found him on Heavenly Pool Mountain.
So he grabbed a Divine Sword and tried to sneak attack Sean—only to have Lily Bai bust him.
......
Skye lay on the ground, eyes half open, completely still.
Lily Bai looked at him, her gaze complicated.
He really is devoted to Sean Shaw! He threw himself in front of a sword for him.
And Sean can't bear to be apart from him, not even for a moment. He even kept him close just now—was Skye in the Life-pouch earlier?
Lily Bai sighed again and went over to check his pulse.
But this time, she was shocked to find that Skye didn't have a pulse.
Yet he wasn’t dead—his eyes were open and he could still move, just a little!
Then she realized, even more shocked, that Skye had been stabbed through by a Divine Sword—but there was no blood!
"Huh?" Lily Bai stared at Sean Shaw, wide-eyed. "He... he... how come he doesn't have a pulse? And he isn't bleeding!"
