The Golden Dragon King's aura kept rising, fully unleashing the might of a late-stage Immortal Emperor. With a thunderous dragon roar, his true form—a six-clawed golden dragon thousands of meters long—materialized in the sky.
Evan Chu glanced up at the golden dragon and laughed, "So it really is just a six-clawed Golden Dragon. Thinking you could defeat me in this form is nothing but a dream."
At that moment, the Phoenix King also let out a resonant phoenix cry, and his true body emerged—a fiery red divine bird with wings spanning hundreds of meters. Its tail feathers shimmered with beautiful crimson, actual flames dancing along their length.
Seeing both kings reveal their true forms, the other Phoenix Clan and Dragon Clan members also transformed, filling the sky with dragons and phoenixes in a spectacular display.
Evan Chu flew straight into the air, looked around at the crowd, and said, "You think you can transform, but you really believe I can't? Today I'll show you what true regret looks like!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Evan let out a dragon's roar. Instantly, a golden nine-clawed dragon appeared in the sky, the pressure radiating from its body leaving everyone utterly shocked.
The Dragon Clan's king was especially shaken. When he saw Evan Chu transform into a nine-clawed golden dragon, his whole body trembled uncontrollably, as if he'd seen a ghost; his enormous pupils contracted in terror.
"Impossible! How can this be? He's actually a nine-clawed golden dragon—that's the legendary Primordial Dragon! Could he really be the Primordial Dragon reincarnated?" he cried out in horror.
"Golden Dragon, didn't you want to kill me? Go ahead—let's see just how strong you really are!" Evan Chu thundered, his voice booming like a storm.
The Golden Dragon King was completely stunned. His body shifted back to that of a middle-aged man, and, unable to help himself, he dropped to his knees and respectfully said to Evan Chu, "Your subordinate did not recognize your true identity, my lord—please forgive me!"
When the Golden Dragon King knelt, the rest of the Dragon Clan naturally shifted back to human form, landed, and knelt as well—none of them dared lift their heads.
The Phoenix King also sensed how abnormal the situation was—this was the Primordial Dragon, something he'd never imagined even in his dreams. Helpless, he returned to the ground and knelt before Evan Chu, performing a full kowtow. Instantly, all the dragons and phoenixes in the sky vanished, quietly bowing on the earth.
With a thought, Evan Chu reverted to human form and landed. "Rise," he said. "I warned you before that you'd regret this, but you thought I was joking. Now that you know who I am, are you surprised?"
Once they'd gotten up, everyone stared at Evan Chu in disbelief. "My lord, you're actually a nine-clawed golden dragon—why didn't you tell us? We never should've been so disrespectful."
"It's not too late to know now," Evan Chu replied. "Come on, let's head to your Dragon Clan territory. I have many questions for you. Phoenix Clan, you come too—I have things to ask you as well."
He then released Goldwing from his side. Now fully evolved into a Golden-Winged Roc, Goldwing's status was on par with the Dragon and Phoenix Clans. Yet seeing Evan Chu treat him as just a flying immortal beast left everyone even more astounded.
"My lord, how did a Golden-Winged Roc become your flying immortal beast? Golden-Winged Rocs are notoriously difficult to deal with—even in Godfall Valley, they're known for avoiding others and for their incredible power and speed," said the Golden Dragon King.
"We're friends—brothers, really. There's no other reason. He follows me into battle because he wants to, so we've ended up together," Evan Chu replied with a laugh.
Everyone quickly took to the air, and Evan Chu finally witnessed the true flight speed of the Phoenix and Dragon Clans. Compared to what he'd seen in the lower world, this was on a whole other level—even faster than his own teleportation.
After flying for more than half an hour, they reached a massive canyon. "My lord, this is where the Dragon Clan lives in Godfall Valley," said the Golden Dragon King.
Evan Chu glanced at the canyon and immediately noticed the Immortal Essence here was incredibly dense, and the scenery was beautiful—a perfect place for cultivation.
He followed the Golden Dragon King into the canyon, and soon saw dozens of huge caves carved into the cliff face. Evan Chu realized this must be where the Dragon Clan lived.
When they reached the largest cave, the Golden Dragon King said, "Please come in, my lord. This is where my Dragon Clan discusses important matters."
"From now on, just call me Palace Lord—not 'my lord.' That title doesn't sit well with me. I'm currently the Palace Lord of Frostbane Imperial Palace in the Immortal Realm, one of humanity's top powerhouses," Evan Chu said.
"Understood!" replied the Golden Dragon King, so shocked that his heart nearly leapt out of his chest. The idea that the Primordial Dragon could also be a Palace Lord in the Immortal Realm was simply unheard of.
Inside, Evan Chu found the cave far better than he'd expected. While it wasn't exactly luxurious, it was spacious and bright.
The cave's ceiling was studded with glowing white pearls, and the stone walls were similarly inlaid. The chamber was vast—thousands of square meters—with plenty of stone benches and tables.
At the highest point was a lifelike carving of a seven-clawed golden dragon, and beneath it stood a golden chair—apparently made of pure gold—radiating an impressive aura.
Evan Chu walked straight to the golden chair and sat down, while the others took seats on the stone benches below. "Now that I've found both the Dragon and Phoenix Clans here in Godfall Valley, I'm surprised. How many of you are left nowadays?" he asked.
"There are just over a hundred of us dragons left. It's extremely difficult to have offspring in Godfall Valley, as if we're under some kind of restriction," answered the Golden Dragon King.
"The Phoenix Clan has fewer than a hundred members, and our situation is the same. Sometimes centuries pass without a single new life. Palace Lord, we hope you can solve our problem," said the Phoenix King.
Evan Chu paused to think, then asked, "Do you all want to leave Godfall Valley and return to the true home of immortal beasts?"
"Not really. This place is a sanctuary—no war, no bloodshed. The only problem is having children. Otherwise, it's a fine place," replied the Golden Dragon King.
"Don't worry," Evan Chu said. "Someday, I'll lead you all out of here, back to the true home of immortal beasts. I'll also unify the Immortal Realm, so immortals and immortal beasts can live together in peace."
