Burch knew Little Thunder’s personality—he only submits to the strong. Otherwise, he’d never back down.
Burch sent Yang Han a sound transmission: "You can absorb electricity, right? Just do what I say in a moment."
Yang Han had no idea why Burch was saying this, but just then Burch turned to Little Thunder and said, "Little Thunder, he's not afraid of lightning—he's stronger than you."
"What? Not afraid of lightning? No way, you must be kidding." Little Thunder reacted instantly. Not just him, everyone nearby stared at Yang Han, waiting for an explanation.
"If you don't believe it, try it. Doesn't your hammer channel lightning?" Burch grinned.
To prove Burch right, Little Thunder pulled out his hammer, lightning crackling at the top. With a shout, he swung at Yang Han, sending a massive bolt flying straight at him.
Yang Han just smiled, reached out, and absorbed all the electricity. Right in front of everyone, he was totally unharmed. The crowd was stunned—in their eyes, lightning was a sacred clan power, but it also limited their inventions. They both wielded and feared it, so lightning was forbidden in clan battles—only allowed against outsiders.
So Yang Han's lightning immunity instantly made him a VIP. Little Thunder's earlier rough attitude vanished; he said calmly, "Sorry, I was out of line before."
Little Thunder's sudden change threw Yang Han off. He awkwardly asked, "What's gotten into you?"
"I didn't know you weren't afraid of our sacred power, so I was disrespectful." Little Thunder said. Before Yang Han could figure out what was happening, Burch pulled him aside and whispered, "Our whole clan worships people who aren't afraid of lightning. You're basically a sacred person to us now."
Yang Han was speechless—just like that, he became a sacred figure. Turns out his earlier fight with Burch was because he wasn’t afraid of lightning either.
After explaining, Burch turned to Little Thunder. "Where's the patriarch?"
"He's in the workshop. I'll take you there," Little Thunder said, leading the way. Yang Han and Burch followed.
As Yang Han walked through the underground space, he admired their creations—carvings and mechanisms everywhere. He never imagined a clan like this existed inside Lingku Cave, with its own civilization.
While Yang Han was lost in thought, they soon arrived outside another cave. Two dwarfs stood guard; when they saw Little Thunder bringing strangers, they frowned. After Little Thunder explained, their wary expressions softened and they even looked at Yang Han with admiration.
Yang Han wasn’t used to getting this kind of treatment.
At that moment, Little Thunder pushed open the cave door. Inside, Yang Han saw all kinds of machines, the sounds of their operation, and dwarfs busy building something.
"What are they doing?" Yang Han asked curiously, seeing such a massive project.
"We're building the Strongest Weapon," Burch replied.
"The Strongest Weapon?" Yang Han looked at Burch and Little Thunder's excited expressions, as if the Strongest Weapon was about to appear.
"Yeah, but we're still missing something crucial. We've spent years inventing countless things, but we just can't get that last piece. But now that we've seen you, we finally have hope," Burch said with a smile.
"What does that have to do with me?" Evan Yang was curious—how did he, a total outsider, become their savior?
"You'll find out soon. Let's go find the Patriarch first," Burch said.
Little Thunder started searching the crowd, while Evan Yang and Burch waited. Soon, a cloud of smoke appeared not far ahead, and a coughing sound came from within.
Hearing the sound, Little Thunder and Burch knew it was their Patriarch. Burch led Evan Yang over, and when the smoke cleared, an elderly dwarf with a cane glared at Evan, as if he wanted to eat him.
"Patriarch, don't get worked up. The person we brought today is our savior," Burch said.
"Savior? What savior? Burch, didn't I tell you to keep watch and not let any humans find us? Why did you bring one here?" The Patriarch was clearly angry.
"Don't blame Burch, Patriarch. Today we've really brought you a savior—he isn't afraid of Sacred Lightning," Little Thunder said.
The Patriarch, still angry, snapped, "I don't care what savior you bring." But then he paused, "What did you say?"
"Someone who isn't afraid of Sacred Lightning," Little Thunder said, pointing at Evan Yang.
Evan Yang smiled at the Patriarch and said, "I am Evan Yang, a human. Greetings, Patriarch."
The Patriarch looked Evan Yang up and down. With his half-human height, it looked almost comical, but Evan Yang managed to suppress his laughter.
After circling Evan twice, the Patriarch took out a glass lens from his waist and examined Evan through it, then asked, "Are you really not afraid of electricity?"
"You could say that," Evan Yang replied.
"I can't tell if you're telling the truth. Only a test will prove it," the Patriarch said. He pointed his cane at Evan's forehead, and without warning, a surge of electricity blasted Evan.
If it were anyone else, they'd have been blown away. But Evan Yang stood still, absorbing all the current. Seeing Evan unfazed, the Patriarch's confusion turned to a big smile. He laughed, "Good, good, excellent!"

"Patriarch, I made a deal with him. If he helps us, I'll let him roam Lingku Cave freely," Burch said.
The Patriarch laughed at Burch's words, "If he truly helps us, forget Lingku Cave—he can pick anything he likes."
Evan Yang hadn't expected the Patriarch to make such a promise. That meant if he completed the task, he'd have free run of Lingku Cave—and maybe these locals could help him find the Divine Pill Chapter. He smiled and said, "So, what do you need me to do?"
"Follow us," the patriarch said, leading Evan Yang to a furnace. Inside was a war chariot, with three sharp arrows, each as thick as a human arm. Yet, something about it felt incomplete.
"This is our Strongest Weapon, forged over many years. If it's completed, it can lock onto Heavenly Dao cultivators—if not kill them outright, it'll seriously wound them," the patriarch explained. He'd long hated those human Heavenly Dao experts who invaded their realm but couldn't be defeated. This weapon would be their nemesis—if only they could finish the last step.
Hearing that even Heavenly Dao experts feared this, Evan Yang felt a surge of curiosity. "So, how can I help?" he asked.
"It's simple: take it to the Sacred Pool and draw down Sacred Lightning. But none of us can get close—the Sacred Lightning attacks anyone who approaches. Now that you're here, we can finally try. But don't say we didn't warn you: Sacred Lightning isn't ordinary lightning. It could destroy your soul. Think carefully—there's still time to back out," the patriarch explained, giving Evan Yang a choice.
But Evan Yang was never one to shy away from danger, and he didn't believe he'd be harmed. He grinned, "Let's do it."
"Alright, let's fire up the furnace and head for the Sacred Pool," the patriarch said. He took out a palm-sized box, and the massive Strongest Weapon inside the furnace shrank to half its size, fitting neatly into the box.
"This Strongest Weapon is pretty impressive," Evan Yang muttered.
"Once it's finished, you'll see its true power—a real Heavenly Dao killer," the patriarch said with a grin.
Seeing the patriarch's smile, Evan Yang couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for those Heavenly Dao cultivators. If this weapon really worked, its power would be terrifying. But he was eager to see it for himself.
The patriarch pocketed the box and led everyone out, heading down a tunnel. On the way, he asked Evan Yang, "What brings you to Lingku Cave?"
"I'm here looking for something. Whether I find it depends on luck," Evan Yang replied with a smile.
"Oh? What is it? Tell me," the patriarch asked, curious.
"It's related to alchemy—a scripture called the Divine Pill Chapter," Evan Yang said.
The patriarch paused, then smiled, "So that's what you're after."
"You've seen it before?" Evan Yang asked, noticing the patriarch's excitement.
"You could say that. I know a bit about it. If you help me finish the Strongest Weapon, I'll tell you what I know," the patriarch replied, looking at Evan Yang.
Evan Yang grinned, "Deal. I won't let you down."
Knowing the patriarch might know the whereabouts of the Divine Pill Chapter, Evan Yang was thrilled—his mood grew more excited. Soon, they reached a secret chamber, its walls and floor made entirely of Blood-Black Stone. In the center stood a hollow cylinder.
The patriarch said to Evan Yang, "In a moment, I'll summon Sacred Lightning. It'll focus on this cylinder. You just need to enter with the Strongest Weapon."
