Let's Get Married

1/4/2026

Cecilia Gu calmed down as well. She understood perfectly what the Yin Family meant. Since the Yin Family wanted this child so much, even if she gave birth to the baby, they would absolutely never let her keep it!

But this child was connected to her by blood—how could she possibly bear to have her baby taken away as soon as it was born?

The moment she imagined that scene, Cecilia Gu could no longer keep her composure.

Although Charles Yin only glanced sideways at Cecilia Gu, he was already certain that this woman had fallen into his trap, unable to resist any longer. Using retreat as advance had always been one of his tactics.

"So, what do you want?" Charles Yin cut her off before she could think any longer. "I'm a busy man, so don't waste my time."

Cecilia Gu lowered her head and thought for a moment. She and Zach Zhao could never go back to the way things were.

She had no way out anymore.

Just for spending a single night at a hotel with Charles Yin, her grandmother nearly kicked her out of the house.

If news of her pregnancy reached her family, then she and her mother would truly be finished.

By then, she wouldn’t be able to go home, and the company would fire her too.

That would be complete despair, with no way out at all.

Gritting her teeth, Cecilia Gu said, "Fine, I choose to get married! I know the Yin Family wants this child too. As long as we get married, I'll have the baby."

"Since you agree, then get ready for the wedding." Charles Yin didn't wait for Cecilia Gu to finish before he turned and left the room. "You can take a long vacation and get some proper rest."

Cecilia Gu's supervisor received notice: Cecilia Gu was being given special treatment by the CEO, allowed to take a long vacation with full pay and bonuses.

The whole office was collectively floored when they heard the news.

A female colleague who often bullied Cecilia Gu and dumped her own work on her suddenly panicked. Why would the CEO give such a huge privilege to a bottom-level employee?

Could there be some secret between them that no one knows about?

Could it be that Cecilia Gu threw herself at the CEO, and that's why he started treating her differently?

The other female colleagues in the office immediately felt regret!

If they had known it would turn out like this, they definitely wouldn't have missed the chance!

However, before these women could make a move, someone had already tested the waters for them.

A female colleague from another department heard about it too. She dressed up flamboyantly and waited on the path Charles Yin took to work. Pretending to accidentally bump into the CEO, she was immediately fired.

When they heard about this outcome, those eager female colleagues instantly had cold water poured on their plans—no one dared to make a move anymore.

But everyone was even more curious—why would the CEO care so much about someone as insignificant as Cecilia Gu?

Cecilia Gu received the best possible care at the hospital.

A top-tier medical team was assigned to serve her alone.

Cecilia Gu wandered around the garden downstairs. After being cooped up in the hospital room every day, she felt like she was going stir-crazy.

But she hadn’t walked for long before a group of nurses surrounded her.

"Mrs. Yin, it's pretty windy today. You should be careful not to catch a cold. You're still in your first trimester, so it's better not to be out in the wind." The head nurse hurried after her, adding, "The chairman gave strict orders—nothing must happen to you, Mrs. Yin."

Seeing such a large group following her, Cecilia Gu realized her walk was over. She could only stop helplessly and say, "Alright, I understand."

Since Cecilia Gu couldn’t walk around outside, she could only wander indoors.

As soon as she returned to her hospital floor, Cecilia Gu saw a group of chefs pushing a food cart toward her room.

Cecilia Gu was stunned. What were they doing?

She hurried back to her hospital room and, upon opening the door, saw several chefs arranging a dozen exquisite dishes on the table.

When the chefs saw Cecilia Gu, they immediately stood respectfully and said, "Young Madam, this lunch was sent on the chairman's orders. If you don’t like it, you can choose other dishes."

Cecilia Gu was a bit dumbfounded. Was all this food really just for one person’s lunch?

"No need, I can't eat that much by myself," Cecilia Gu quickly replied.

She honestly couldn't get used to all this attention after growing up as a plain country girl.

"The CEO will join Young Madam for lunch. These are the CEO’s usual dishes," one of the chefs explained.

Cecilia Gu instantly felt awkward—she must have misunderstood!

Wait, what did they say? Charles Yin is coming for lunch?

Before Cecilia Gu could ask anything else, she heard a chorus from outside the door: "Good afternoon, CEO!"

Cecilia Gu's body instantly tensed up; she didn’t dare turn around.

Even though she had agreed to marry Charles Yin, deep down, he was still a stranger to her.

Charles Yin entered and saw Cecilia Gu standing with her back to him. He immediately said, "Why are you just standing there? Eat."

As soon as Charles Yin sat down, someone brought him a towel to wipe his hands.

After using three towels in a row, Charles Yin finally picked up his knife and fork and ate with utmost elegance.
